| 5 मेरे प्यारे गयुस, आप भाइयों का ध्यान रखते हैं और अजनबियों की भी मदद करते हैं। आपके कामों से पता चलता है कि आप सच्चे विश्वासी हैं। | 5 My dear Gaius, you take care of brothers and also help strangers. Your actions show that you are a true believer. |
| 6 जब भाई मेरे पास आए, तब उन्होंने पूरे चर्च के सामने गवाही दी कि आप सब लोगों के साथ प्यार से पेश आते हैं। अब वे भाई अपनी यात्रा जारी रखने के लिए आपके पास लौट गए हैं। अगर आप उन्हें उनकी ज़रूरत की सभी चीज़ें दे सकें, तो आप सही काम करेंगे, जैसा कि परमेश्वर चाहता है। | 6 When the brothers came to me, they testified before the whole church that you treat all people with love. Now the brothers have already gone back to you to continue their journey. If you can provide them with everything they need, you will do the right thing, as God wants. |
| 7 वे भाई यीशु के बारे में प्रचार करने के लिए अपनी यात्रा पर निकले थे। उन्होंने अविश्वासियों से मदद नहीं माँगी और केवल चर्च के सहयोग पर भरोसा किया। | 7 The brothers went on their journey to preach about Jesus. They did not seek help from unbelievers and relied only on the support of the church. |
| 8 इसलिए हमें ऐसे भाइयों की मदद करनी चाहिए। तब हम उनके साथ मिलकर सेवा कर सकते हैं और परमेश्वर के बारे में सच्चाई फैला सकते हैं। | 8 That is why we should help such brothers. Then we can minister together and spread the truth about God. |
| 9 मैंने चर्च को एक पत्र लिखा कि इन भाइयों को मदद की ज़रूरत है। लेकिन दियुत्रिफेस, जो अपने अधिकार का दिखावा करना पसंद करता है, हमारे साथ कोई संबंध नहीं रखना चाहता। | 9 I wrote a letter to the church that these brothers need help. But Diotrephes who loves to show off his authority wants nothing to do with us. |
| 10 अगर मुझे आपसे मिलने का अवसर मिला, तो मैं उसके व्यवहार पर बात करूँगा। दियुत्रिफेस हमारे खिलाफ़ नफ़रत भरी बातें करता है और झूठ फैलाता है। और वह यहीं नहीं रुकता। उन यात्री भाइयों को मदद की ज़रूरत है, लेकिन वह उन्हें चर्च में प्रवेश करने की अनुमति नहीं देता। जब दूसरे विश्वासी उनकी मदद करना चाहते हैं, तब दियुत्रिफेस उन्हें ऐसा करने से मना करता है। और अगर वे उसकी बात नहीं मानते, तो वह ऐसे लोगों को चर्च से बाहर निकाल देता है। | 10 If I have the opportunity to visit you, I will address his behavior. Diotrephes speaks against us with hatred and spreads lies. And he does not stop there. The visiting brothers need help, but he does not allow them to enter the church. When other believers want to help them, Diotrephes forbids it. And if they do not obey him, he excommunicates such people from the church. |
| 11 मेरे प्यारे भाई, बुराई करने वालों का उदाहरण न अपनाएं। इसके बजाय, अच्छे काम करने वालों का उदाहरण अपनाएं। जो अच्छा काम करता है, वह परमेश्वर का है। लेकिन जो बुरे काम करता है, वह नहीं समझता कि परमेश्वर कौन है। | 11 My dear brother, do not follow the example of those who do evil. Instead, follow the example of those who do good. The one who does good deeds belongs to God. But the one who does evil does not understand who God is. |
| 12 मैं दिमेत्रियुस के बारे में कुछ बातें कहना चाहता हूँ। हर कोई इस बात की पुष्टि करता है कि उसकी अच्छी प्रतिष्ठा है। और वह सच्चाई की शिक्षा के अनुसार जीवन जीता है। हम भी इसकी पुष्टि करते हैं। और आप जानते हैं कि हम सच कह रहे हैं। | 12 I would like to say a few words about Demetrius. Everyone confirms that he has a good reputation. And he acts according to the teaching of the truth. We also confirm this. And you know that we are telling the truth. |
| 13 मैं आपसे और भी बहुत सी बातें करना चाहता हूँ। लेकिन मैं उन्हें कागज़ पर कलम से नहीं लिखना चाहता। | 13 I have a desire to discuss many other things with you. But I do not want to write them down with a pen on paper. |
