| 1 प्रभु में मेरी प्यारी बहन को जिसे परमेश्वर ने चुना है, नमस्कार। मैं, यूहन्ना, जो एक बूढ़ा और आदरणीय व्यक्ति हूँ आपको लिख रहा हूँ। मैं आपके बच्चों को भी लिख रहा हूँ जिनसे मैं सचमुच प्यार करता हूँ। उनको बताएं कि हम सभी उनसे प्यार करते हैं क्योंकि हम सच्चाई जानते हैं कि परमेश्वर कौन है। | 1 I am greeting you, my dear sister in the Lord, whom God has chosen. I am John, an elder and a respected man, who is writing to you. I am also writing to your children whom I truly love. Tell them that we all love them because we know the truth about who God is. |
| 2 यह सच्चाई हमारे अन्दर रहती है और यह उम्र भर हमारे साथ रहेगी। | 2 This truth lives inside of us, and it will be with us throughout all the ages. |
| 3 अनुग्रह, दया और शान्ति प्राप्त करें जो परमेश्वर पिता से और उसके बेटे प्रभु यीशु मसीह की ओर से आते हैं। आइए, हम सच्चाई और प्यार के अनुसार काम करें। | 3 Receive grace, mercy, and peace that come from God the Father and from His Son the Lord Jesus Christ. Let's act according to the truth and love. |
| 4 हमें पिता से आज्ञा मिली कि हम उस तरह से जियें जैसे सच्चाई हमें सिखाती है। और मैं बहुत खुश हूँ कि आपके बच्चे इस आज्ञा को मानते हैं। | 4 We received a commandment from the Father to live according to the teaching of the truth. And I am very glad that your children keep this commandment. |
| 5 प्रभु में मेरी प्यारी बहन, अब मैं आपको एक और आज्ञा की याद दिलाना चाहूँगा कि हमें एक दूसरे से प्यार करना है। मैं आपको कुछ नया नहीं लिख रहा हूँ। लेकिन यह वह आज्ञा है जो परमेश्वर ने शुरुआत से ही हमें दी थी। | 5 My dear sister in the Lord, now I would like to remind you of the commandment that we must love one another. I am not writing to you about something new. But this is the commandment that God gave us from the very beginning. |
| 6 जब हम दूसरों से प्यार करते हैं तब हम परमेश्वर की आज्ञाओं का पालन करते हैं। याद रखें कि शुरुआत से ही परमेश्वर ने हमें एक दूसरे से प्यार करने के लिए कहा था। | 6 When we love others, we obey God's commandments. We should remember that from the very beginning God taught us to love one another. |
| 7 दुनियाँ में बहुत से झूठे लोग हैं। वे विश्वास नहीं करते कि यीशु मसीह मानव शरीर में पृथ्वी पर आया। ऐसे लोग दूसरों को धोखा देते हैं। वे मसीह विरोधी हैं और मसीह के दुश्मन हैं। | 7 There are many liars in this world. They do not believe that Jesus Christ came to the earth in a human body. Such people deceive others. They are antichrists who are hostile to Christ. |
| 8 इसलिए आपको ध्यान देना चाहिए कि आप किस की बातें सुनते हैं। नहीं तो, जो काम हमने किया था वह हम खो देंगे और पूरा इनाम प्राप्त नहीं कर पाएंगे। | 8 That is why you should pay attention to who you listen to. Otherwise, we might lose what we worked for and not receive our full reward. |
| 9 अगर कोई व्यक्ति मसीह की शिक्षाओं को नहीं मानता और उसके अनुसार काम नहीं करता तो वह परमेश्वर का नहीं। और अगर कोई व्यक्ति मसीह की शिक्षाओं के अनुसार जीता है तो वह पिता और पुत्र का है। | 9 A person who breaks the teaching of Christ and does not act the way Jesus teaches does not belong to God. But a person who lives according to Christ’s teaching belongs to the Father and the Son. |
| 10 मान लीजिए कि कोई व्यक्ति आपके पास आए और जो मसीह ने हमें सिखाया उन बातों से अलग प्रचार करना शुरू कर दे। ऐसे मामले में उसे अपने घर में न बुलाएं और उसके साथ बातें न करें। | 10 Suppose that someone comes to visit you and starts preaching something that contradicts the teachings of Christ. In this case, do not invite him into your house and do not communicate with him. |
| 11 ऐसे व्यक्ति के साथ समय न बिताएं ताकि आप उसके बुरे कामों में हिस्सा न लें। | 11 Do not spend time with such a person, so that you do not take part in his evil deeds. |
| 12 मुझे आपके साथ कई दूसरी बातों पर चर्चा करने की भी इच्छा है। लेकिन मैं इसे कागज और कलम के साथ नहीं करना चाहता। मुझे उम्मीद है कि मैं आपके पास आऊँगा और अकेले में इसके बारे में बात करूँगा। और यह मुलाकात हमें बहुत आनन्द देगी। | 12 I have a desire to discuss many other things with you. But I do not want to write them down with a pen on paper. I hope to visit you and talk about these matters in person. And this meeting will bring us great joy. |
| 13 प्रभु ने आपकी बहन को वैसे ही चुना है जैसे उसने आपको चुना है। और उसके बच्चे आपको नमस्कार भेज रहे हैं। आमीन। | 13 The Lord has chosen your sister just as He has chosen you. And her children are sending greetings to you. Amen. |
