परिचय
1 प्रभु यीशु के बारे में सच्ची और अद्भुत कहानी शुरू होती है। वे मसीह - सारी सृष्टि के राजा हैं। वे सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के बेटे हैं।
यशायाह की भविष्यवाणी
2 एक आदमी था। वह प्रभु यीशु के जन्म से कई सौ साल पहले रहता था। उस आदमी का नाम यशायाह था। सृष्टि के परमेश्वर ने उससे कई बार बात की। प्रभु का संदेश लाने वाले यशायाह ने परमेश्वर के सारे वचनों को पवित्र किताब में लिखा। परमेश्वर ने यशायाह के द्वारा वादा किया, “मैं अपने बेटे से पहले अपना संदेश देने वाला भेजूँगा। मेरा संदेश देने वाला मेरे बेटे के आने के लिए रास्ता तैयार करेगा।”
3 मेरे संदेश देने वाले की आवाज़ सुनो। वह रेगिस्तान में चिल्ला रहा है, “अरे लोगों, आने वाले प्रभु के लिए रास्ता तैयार करो! उनके लिए सीधे रास्ते बनाओ।”
यूहन्ना का संदेश
4 इसलिए संदेश देने वाला आया, बिल्कुल जैसे यशायाह ने कई सौ साल पहले भविष्यवाणी की थी। उसका नाम यूहन्ना था। वह रेगिस्तान में रहता था। उसने प्रचार किया कि लोगों को सृष्टि के परमेश्वर से अपने पापों के लिए माफ़ी माँगनी चाहिए। उन्हें अपने पाप से जीने का तरीका छोड़कर नया जीवन शुरू करना चाहिए। उसके बाद लोगों को सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के नाम से पवित्र स्नान लेना चाहिए।
5 यरूशलेम इस्राएल की राजधानी थी। यरूशलेम और सारे यहूदिया प्रदेश से लोग यूहन्ना का प्रचार सुनने के लिए गये। वहाँ लोगों ने अपने पापों से मुड़ने का फ़ैसला लिया। उसके बाद यूहन्ना ने लोगों को सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के नाम से पवित्र स्नान दिया। यह यरदन नदी में हुआ।
6 यूहन्ना के कपड़े बहुत साधारण थे। वे ऊँट के बालों से बने हुए थे। उसकी कमर में चमड़े की बेल्ट थी। उसका खाना भी बहुत सादा था। वह टिड्डियाँ और जंगली शहद खाता था।
7 यूहन्ना ने प्रचार किया, “मेरे बाद कोई आयेंगे जो मुझ से ज़्यादा शक्तिशाली हैं। वे मुझ से बहुत ज़्यादा महान हैं! मैं तो गुलाम की तरह नीचे बैठकर उनके चप्पल उतारने के लायक भी नहीं हूँ।
8 मैं तो तुम्हें सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के नाम से पानी से पवित्र स्नान देता हूँ। लेकिन आने वाले प्रभु तुम्हें पवित्र आत्मा से पवित्र स्नान देंगे।”
प्रभु यीशु का यूहन्ना से मिलना
9 गलील प्रदेश में नासरत शहर था। एक दिन प्रभु यीशु नासरत से यूहन्ना के पास आये। और यूहन्ना ने उन्हें सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के नाम से पवित्र स्नान दिया। यह यरदन नदी में हुआ।
10 जब प्रभु यीशु पानी से बाहर आ रहे थे उन्होंने स्वर्गों को खुला हुआ देखा। और सृष्टि के परमेश्वर की पवित्र आत्मा कबूतर की तरह उनके ऊपर आयी।
11 और स्वर्ग से परमेश्वर की आवाज़ आयी, “तुम मेरे प्यारे बेटे हो। मैं तुम से प्यार करता हूँ। और मैं तुम से पूरी तरह से खुश हूँ।”
12 उसी समय सृष्टि के परमेश्वर की पवित्र आत्मा ने प्रभु यीशु को रेगिस्तान में भेज दिया।
13 और प्रभु यीशु चालीस दिनों तक रेगिस्तान में रहे। शैतान ने कोशिश की कि प्रभु सृष्टि के परमेश्वर की बात न मानें। वहाँ जंगली जानवर भी थे। लेकिन परमेश्वर ने अपने बेटे की देखभाल के लिए अपने स्वर्गदूत भेजे।
प्रभु यीशु का पहले चेलों को चुनना
14 उस समय हेरोदेस इस्राएल का राजा था। उसने यूहन्ना को पकड़वाकर जेल में डलवा दिया। उसके बाद प्रभु यीशु गलील गये। उन्होंने सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के राज्य के बारे में प्रचार किया।
15 उन्होंने कहा, “समय आ गया है! परमेश्वर का राज्य नज़दीक है। अपने पाप से जीने का तरीका छोड़ दो! सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के साथ नया जीवन शुरू करो। विश्वास करो कि परमेश्वर तुम्हें माफ़ करते हैं और तुम्हारे पापों से तुम्हें आज़ादी देते हैं।”
16 एक दिन प्रभु यीशु गलील समुद्र के किनारे गये। वहाँ उन्होंने शमौन और उसके भाई अन्द्रियास को देखा। वे समुद्र में जाल डाल रहे थे क्योंकि वे मछवारे थे।
17 प्रभु यीशु ने कहा, “मेरे पीछे चलो। और मैं तुम्हें आदमियों का मछवारा बनाऊँगा।”
18 उसी समय वे अपना जाल छोड़कर प्रभु के पीछे चले गये।
19 उसके बाद प्रभु यीशु थोड़ा आगे गये। उन्होंने जब्दी के बेटों याकूब और उसके भाई यूहन्ना को देखा। वे नाव में अपने जाल ठीक कर रहे थे।
20 उसी समय प्रभु ने उन्हें बुलाया। उन्होंने अपने पिता जब्दी को किराये के आदमियों के साथ नाव में ही छोड़ दिया। तब वे यीशु के पीछे चले गये।
प्रभु यीशु का बुरी आत्मा को निकालना
21 प्रभु यीशु और उनके चेले कफरनहूम गये। उस शहर में सृष्टि के परमेश्वर का प्रार्थना घर था। शनिवार के दिन प्रभु प्रार्थना घर में गये। और वहाँ उन्होंने लोगों को शिक्षा दी।
22 लोग उनकी शिक्षाओं से हैरान हो गये। उनके शब्दों में बड़ी शक्ति थी। उन्होंने परमेश्वर के कानून के दूसरे शिक्षकों की तरह शिक्षा नहीं दी। प्रभु यीशु ने पूरे अधिकार के साथ शिक्षा दी।
23 प्रार्थना घर में एक आदमी था। वह पूरी तरह से बुरी आत्मा के वश में था। अचानक वह आदमी चिल्लाने लगा,
24 “हमें अकेला छोड़ दे! नासरी शहर के यीशु, हमें क्यों परेशान कर रहा है? क्या तू हमें बरबाद करने आया है? मैं जानता हूँ कि तू कौन है! तू सृष्टि का पवित्र परमेश्वर है!”
25 प्रभु यीशु ने बुरी आत्मा से ज़ोर से कहा, “चुप हो जा! इस आदमी से बाहर निकल जा!”
26 बुरी आत्मा ने आदमी को बहुत ज़ोर से हिलाया। तब वह उस आदमी में से चीखते हुए बाहर निकला।
27 सारे लोग बहुत हैरान हुए और डर गये। उन्होंने एक दूसरे से पूछा, “यह क्या है? इतनी शक्तिशाली नयी शिक्षा और इतने अधिकार के साथ! यहाँ तक कि यह आदमी बुरी आत्माओं को आज्ञा देता है और वे उनकी बात मानती हैं।
28 जल्दी ही पूरे गलील प्रदेश में प्रभु यीशु के बारे में खबर फैल गयी।
प्रभु यीशु का बहुत से लोगों को ठीक करना
29 प्रभु यीशु और उनके चेले सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के प्रार्थना घर से बाहर आये। फिर वे याकूब और यूहन्ना के साथ शमौन और अन्द्रियास के घर गये।
30 शमौन की सास बिस्तर पर लेटी हुई थी। उसे बुखार था। उसी समय यीशु के चेलों ने उन्हें उसके बारे में बताया।
31 इसलिए प्रभु उसके पास गये। उन्होंने उसका हाथ पकड़कर उसे बैठने में मदद की। अचानक से उसका बुखार उतर गया। फिर वह प्रभु यीशु और उनके चेलों की सेवा करने लगी।
32 उस शाम को सूरज छिपने के बाद लोग उन सब को जो बीमार थे प्रभु के पास लेकर आये। वे उन सब को भी लाये जो बुरी आत्माओं के वश में थे।
33 शहर के सारे लोग दरवाज़े पर इकट्ठे हो गये।
34 लोगों को कई तरह की बीमारियाँ थीं। लेकिन प्रभु ने उनमें से बहुत सारे लोगों को ठीक किया। उन्होंने बहुत सी बुरी आत्माओं को भी लोगों में से निकलने की आज्ञा दी जो उनसे पीड़ित थे। बुरी आत्माएँ जानती थीं कि प्रभु यीशु सारी सृष्टि के राजा हैं। लेकिन उन्होंने बुरी आत्माओं को बोलने नहीं दिया।
प्रभु यीशु का शान्त जगह पर प्रार्थना करना
35 अगली सुबह प्रभु यीशु बहुत जल्दी उठ गये। उस समय अँधेरा ही था। वे एक ऐसी जगह गये जहाँ वे पूरी तरह से अकेले रह सकते थे। और वहाँ उन्होंने प्रार्थना की।
36 शमौन और यीशु के दूसरे चेले उन्हें ढूँढ़ने को निकल गये।
37 जब उन्होंने प्रभु को पाया तब उन्होंने कहा, “हर कोई आपको ढूँढ़ रहा है!”
38 लेकिन प्रभु ने जवाब दिया, “चलो, नज़दीक के गाँवों और शहरों में चलते हैं। मुझे वहाँ भी प्रचार करना है। मैं इसीलिए आया हूँ।”
39 इसलिए प्रभु ने गलील प्रदेश की सभी जगहों की यात्रा की। उन्होंने सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के प्रार्थना घरों में प्रचार किया। उन्होंने बहुत से लोगों में से बुरी आत्माओं को भी निकाला।
प्रभु यीशु का एक कोढ़ी आदमी को ठीक करना
40 एक आदमी को कोढ़ नामक भयानक त्वचा की बीमारी थी। नियम के अनुसार कोढ़ी आदमी स्वस्थ लोगों के साथ नहीं रह सकता था। इसलिए वह समाज से अलग दूसरे कोढ़ियों के साथ रहता था। वह आदमी प्रभु के पास आया और अपने घुटनों पर बैठकर उनसे विनती की, “अगर आप मुझे ठीक करना चाहें तो आप मुझे इस बीमारी से शुद्ध कर सकते हैं।”
41 प्रभु यीशु दया से भर गये। तब उन्होंने अपना हाथ बढ़ाकर उस आदमी को छुआ। उन्होंने कहा, “मैं तुम्हें इस बीमारी से शुद्ध करना चाहता हूँ। ठीक हो जाओ!”
42 यीशु के यह कहते ही उसका कोढ़ गायब हो गया। वह आदमी पूरी तरह से ठीक हो गया!
43 तब प्रभु ने उसी समय उस आदमी को वहाँ से भेज दिया। उन्होंने उस आदमी को कड़ी चेतावनी दी,
44 “ये बात किसी को मत बताना। लेकिन जाओ और खुद को सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के पुरोहित को दिखाओ। पुरोहित को तुम्हें जाँचने दो। फिर अपने ठीक होने के लिए बलिदान चढ़ाओ। उसे वैसे ही करो जैसे प्रभु का संदेश लाने वाले मूसा ने सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के कानून में आज्ञा दी थी। यह सबके लिए इस बात का सबूत होगा कि तुम अपनी बीमारी से सच में शुद्ध हो गये हो।”
45 लेकिन वह आदमी गया और यह खबर फैलायी। वह सबसे कह रहा था कि प्रभु यीशु ने उसे ठीक किया। इसलिए प्रभु फिर उस शहर में खुलेआम नहीं जा पाये। उन्हें शहर से बाहर सुनसान जगह पर रुकना पड़ा। लेकिन हर जगह से लोग प्रभु यीशु के पास आये। | Introduction
1 This is the beginning of a true and amazing story about the Lord Jesus. He is the Christ – King Over All Creation. He is the Son of God the Creator.
Isaiah’s Prediction
2 There was a man. He lived hundreds years ago before the birth of the Lord Jesus took place. The name of the man was Isaiah. God the Creator spoke to him many times. Prophet Isaiah wrote down all God’s Words in the Holy Book. God promised through Isaiah: “I will send My messenger ahead of My Son. My messenger will prepare the way for My Son to come.
3 Listen to the voice of My messenger. He is shouting in the desert, ‘People, prepare the way for the coming Lord! Make straight paths for Him!”
John’s Message
4 So the messenger came, just as Isaiah the Prophet predicted many hundreds years ago. His name was John. He lived in a desert. He preached that people should ask God the Creator to forgive their sins. They should stop their sinful lifestyle and begin a new life. After that people should take the Holy Bath in the name of God the Creator.
5 Jerusalem was the capital city of Israel. People from Jerusalem and from the whole Judea region traveled to listen to John’s teaching. There people made decisions to turn away from their sins. After that John gave the people the Holy Bath in the name of God the Creator. It happened in the Jordan River.
6 John’s clothing was very simple. It was made of camel’s hair. He had a leather belt around his waist. His food was very simple too. He ate locust and wild honey.
7 John preached, “After me someone will come who is more powerful than I am. He is so much greater than I! I am not worthy to sit down and untie His sandals like a slave.
8 I give you the Holy Bath in the name of God the Creator with water. But the coming Lord will give you the Holy Bath with the Holy Spirit.”
The Lord Jesus Meets John
9 Nazareth was a city in Galilee region. One day the Lord Jesus came from Nazareth to John. And John gave Him the Holy Bath in the name of God the Creator. It happened in the Jordan River.
10 When the Lord Jesus was coming up out of the water, He saw the heavens opened. And the Holy Spirit of God the Creator came down on Him like a dove.
11 And God’s voice came from heaven, “You are my dear Son. I love you. And I am fully pleased with You.”
12 At once the Holy Spirit of God the Creator sent the Lord Jesus into the desert.
13 And the Lord Jesus was in the desert for forty days. Satan tried to make the Lord to disobey God the Creator. There were wild animals also. But God sent His angels to take care of His Son.
The Lord Jesus Chooses the First Followers
14 At that time Herod was the King of Israel. He arrested John and put him in prison. After that the Lord Jesus went to Galilee. He preached about the Kingdom of God the Creator.
15 He said, “The time has come! The Kingdom of God is near. Stop your sinful lifestyle! Start a new life with God the Creator. Believe that God forgives you and gives you freedom from your sins.”
16 One day the Lord Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee. He saw Simon and his brother Andrew there. They were throwing a net into the Sea, because they were fishermen.
17 The Lord Jesus said, “Follow Me. And I will make you fishers of men.”
18 At once they left their nets and followed the Lord.
19 Then the Lord Jesus walked a little further. He saw the sons of Zebedee - James and his brother John. They were mending their nets in a boat.
20 Right away the Lord called them. They left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men. Then they followed Him.
The Lord Jesus Drives Out an Evil Spirit
21 The Lord Jesus and His followers went to Capernaum. In that city there was a Prayer House of God the Creator. On Saturday the Lord went to the Prayer House. And He taught the people there.
22 The people were amazed at His teaching. There was great power in His words. He did not teach like other teachers of the Law of God. The Lord Jesus taught with real authority.
23 There was a man in the Prayer House. He was completely under the control of an evil spirit. Suddenly the man began shouting,
24 “Leave us alone! Why are You bothering us, Jesus from the city of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are! You are Holy God the Creator!"
25 The Lord Jesus said sharply to the evil spirit, “Be quiet! Come out of this man!”
26 The evil spirit shook the man strongly. Then it came out of him with a scream.
27 All the people were so amazed and terrified. They asked each other, “What is this? Such a powerful new teaching! And with so much authority! This man even gives orders to evil spirits, and they obey Him!”
28 The news about the Lord Jesus spread quickly over the whole Galilee region.
The Lord Jesus Heals Many People
29 The Lord Jesus and His followers left the Prayer House of God the Creator. Then they went with James and John to the home of Simon and Andrew.
30 Simon's mother-in-law was lying in bed. She had a fever. Jesus’ followers told Him about her right away.
31 So the Lord went to her. He took her hand and helped her to sit up. The fever suddenly left her. Then she began to serve the Lord Jesus and His followers.
32 That evening after sunset the people brought to the Lord all who were sick. They also brought all who were under the control of evil spirits.
33 All the people in the town gathered at the door.
34 The people had many different kinds of diseases. But the Lord healed great numbers of them. He also ordered many evil spirits to come out of their victims. The evil spirits knew that the Lord Jesus was the King Over All Creation. But He did not let the evil spirits speak.
The Lord Jesus Prays in a Quiet Place
35 Next morning the Lord Jesus got up very early. It was still dark. He went to a place where He could be completely alone. And He prayed there.
36 Simon and other Jesus’ followers went out to find Him.
37 When they found Him, they said, “Everyone is looking for you!”
38 But the Lord replied, “Let’s go to the nearby villages and cities. I must preach there also. That is why I came.”
39 So the Lord traveled all around Galilee region. He preached in the Prayer Houses of God the Creator. He also drove evil spirits out of many people.
The Lord Jesus Heals a Man with Leprosy
40 There was a man with a terrible skin disease named leprosy. According to the rules for lepers such a man could not live together with healthy people. So he stayed with other lepers separately from the society. That man came to the Lord and begged Him on his knees, “If You want to heal me, You can clean me from this disease.”
41 The Lord Jesus was filled with compassion. Then He reached out His hand and touched the man. He said, “I want to clean you from this disease. Be healed!”
42 Immediately after Jesus’ words the leprosy disappeared. The man got completely healed!
43 Then the Lord sent the man away at once. He gave the man a strong warning,
44 “Do not tell this to anyone. But go and show yourself to the priest of God the Creator. Let the priest examine you. Then offer the sacrifices for your healing. Do it as Moses the Prophet commanded in the Law of God the Creator. It will be a proof to everyone that you are really clean from your disease.”
45 But this man went out and spread the news. He was telling everyone that the Lord Jesus healed him. So the Lord could no longer enter the city openly. He had to stay out in the lonely places. But people from everywhere came to the Lord Jesus there. |

प्रभु यीशु का लकवे के बीमार को ठीक करना
1 कई दिनों के बाद प्रभु यीशु कफरनहूम शहर में वापस आये। लोगों ने सुना कि वे अपने घर आ गये हैं।
2 जल्दी ही उस घर में इतने सारे लोग जमा हो गये कि वहाँ कोई खाली जगह नहीं बची। यहाँ तक कि दरवाज़े के बाहर भी लोग खड़े थे। और प्रभु यीशु ने उनके सामने सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के वचन का प्रचार किया।
3 चार आदमी एक लकवे के बीमार को लेकर आये।
4 लेकिन भीड़ के कारण वे प्रभु यीशु के पास नहीं पहुँच सके। इसलिए उन्होंने उस घर की छत पर चढ़कर एक छेद बनाया। फिर उन्होंने लकवे के बीमार को उसकी चटाई पर प्रभु यीशु के ठीक सामने उतार दिया।
5 प्रभु यीशु ने उनके विश्वास को देखकर लकवे के बीमार से कहा, “मेरे बेटे, मैं तुम्हारे पाप माफ़ करता हूँ।”
6 लेकिन सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के कानून के कुछ शिक्षक वहाँ बैठे हुए थे। उन्होंने अपने दिल में सोचा,
7 “ क्या? उसने सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के खिलाफ़ गलत शब्द कहे! सिर्फ़ सृष्टि के परमेश्वर को ही पाप माफ़ करने का अधिकार है!”
8 उसी समय प्रभु यीशु अपनी आत्मा में जान गये कि वे लोग क्या सोच रहे थे। इसलिए प्रभु यीशु ने उनसे कहा, “तुम अपने दिल में ऐसी बातें क्यों सोच रहे हो?”
9 क्या लकवे के बीमार से यह कहना आसान है, ‘मैं तुम्हारे पाप माफ़ करता हूँ’? या यह कहना, ‘खड़े हो जाओ, अपनी चटाई लो और चलो’?
10 लेकिन मैं चाहता हूँ कि तुम यह जान लो कि मुझे, आदमी के बेटे को धरती पर पाप माफ़ करने का अधिकार है।” और उन्होंने लकवे के बीमार से कहा,
11 “मैं तुम से कहता हूँ, खड़े हो जाओ, अपनी चटाई लो और घर जाओ।”
12 उसी समय वह आदमी खड़ा हो गया। वह अपनी चटाई लेकर भीड़ के सामने से बाहर चला गया। सारे लोग हैरान रह गये। वे सृष्टि के परमेश्वर की बढ़ाई करने लगे। लोगों ने कहा, “हमने कभी ऐसा कुछ नहीं देखा!”
लेवी का बुलाया जाना
13 तब प्रभु यीशु फिर से झील के किनारे चले गये। लोगों की भीड़ उनके चारों ओर इकट्ठी हो गयी और प्रभु ने उन्हें शिक्षा दी।
14 जब प्रभु यीशु चल रहे थे तब उन्होंने हलफई के बेटे लेवी को देखा। लेवी टेक्स वसूल करने वाला था और अपने आँफ़िस में बैठा था। प्रभु ने उससे कहा, “मेरे पीछे चलो।” लेवी उठकर प्रभु यीशु के पीछे चला गया।
15 प्रभु यीशु और उनके चेलों ने लेवी के घर पर खाना खाया। बहुत से टेक्स वसूल करने वाले और बुरे रुतबे के लोग भी उनके साथ खाना खा रहे थे। वहाँ उनकी तरह बहुत से ऐसे लोग थे जो प्रभु यीशु के पीछे चले।
16 सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के कानून के शिक्षकों ने देखा कि प्रभु यीशु बुरे रुतबे के लोगों और टेक्स वसूल करने वालों के साथ खाना खा रहे थे। ये शिक्षक धार्मिक राजनीतिक पार्टी के सदस्य थे जो फरीसी कहलाते थे। वे ऐसे लोगों के साथ कभी नहीं खाते! इसलिए उन्होंने यीशु के चेलों से पूछा, “तुम्हारे गुरु ऐसे बुरे लोगों के साथ क्यों खाते हैं?”
17 जब प्रभु यीशु ने यह सुना तब उन्होंने जवाब दिया, “अगर लोग सोचते हैं कि वे स्वस्थ हैं तो वे कभी डाँक्टर के पास नहीं जायेंगे। लेकिन अगर वे समझते हैं कि वे बीमार हैं तो वे डाँक्टर के पास ज़रूर जायेंगे। उसी तरह से, मैं उन्हें बुलाने आया हूँ जो समझते हैं कि वे पापी हैं ताकि वे पाप से जीने का तरीका छोड़ सकें। लेकिन अगर लोग सोचते हैं कि वे काफ़ी नेक हैं तो वे मेरी बात कभी नहीं सुनेंगे।”
लोगों का प्रभु से उपवास के बारे में पूछना
18 यूहन्ना के चेले और फरीसी लगातार उपवास रखते थे। कुछ लोगों ने आकर प्रभु यीशु से पूछा, “यूहन्ना के चेले और फरीसी तो उपवास रखते हैं लेकिन आपके चेले उपवास क्यों नहीं रखते?”
19 प्रभु ने जवाब दिया, “क्या शादी में दुल्हे के साथ खुशी मनाते समय मेहमान उपवास रखते हैं? बिल्कुल नहीं! जब वे दुल्हे के साथ हो तब वे उपवास नहीं रख सकते।
20 लेकिन वह समय आयेगा जब दुल्हा उन्हें छोड़कर चला जायेगा। तब उन दिनों में वे उपवास रखेंगे।
21 कोई भी पुराने कपड़े में नये कपड़े का टुकड़ा नहीं सिलता हैं। अगर वह ऐसा करे तो नये कपड़े का टुकड़ा पुराने कपड़े से खिचकर पहले से भी बड़ा छेद बना देगा।
22 और कोई भी नयी वाइन चमड़े की पुरानी बोतल में नहीं डालता है क्योंकि वह गैस बनाना जारी रखेगी। और तब वह बोतल को फाड़ देगी क्योंकि बोतल खिच नहीं पायेगी। इसलिए नयी वाइन और पुरानी बोतल दोनों ही बरबाद हो जायेंगी। लोग नयी वाइन नयी बोतल में डालते हैं।”
प्रभु यीशु शनिवार के कानून से ज़्यादा महत्वपूर्ण हैं
23 एक दिन प्रभु यीशु और उनके चेले खेतों से होकर जा रहे थे। यह शनिवार का दिन था। यहूदी लोगों के लिए यह आराम और आराधना का खास दिन होता था। चलते समय यीशु के चेले अनाज की कुछ बालियाँ तोड़ने लगे।
24 फरीसियों ने प्रभु यीशु से कहा, “आज शनिवार है। इस दिन काम करना मना है! फिर आपके चेले अनाज क्यों तोड़ रहे हैं?! वे सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के कानून को तोड़ते हैं।”
25 लेकिन प्रभु यीशु ने जवाब दिया, “बेशक, तुम पवित्र किताब में पढ़ चुके हो कि राजा दाऊद ने क्या किया था! क्या तुमने नहीं पढ़ा? वह और उसके लोग भूखे थे। उन्हें मदद की ज़रूरत थी।
26 यह तब हुआ जब अबियातार सृष्टि के परमेश्वर का महापुजारी था। राजा दाऊद परमेश्वर के घर में गया। वहाँ खास रोटियाँ थीं। पुरोहित परमेश्वर के सामने उसे भेट में लाये थे। जैसा कि तुम जानते हो कि नियम के अनुसार सिर्फ़ पुरोहितों को ही उन खास रोटियों को खाने का अधिकार है। लेकिन राजा दाऊद ने वे रोटियाँ खायीं और अपने लोगों को भी दीं।”
27 तब प्रभु यीशु ने फरीसियों से कहा, “सृष्टि के परमेश्वर ने हमारे फ़ायदे के लिए शनिवार के बारे में यह कानून दिया। उन्होंने शनिवार आदमी के लिए बनाया न कि आदमी को शनिवार के लिए।
28 मैं आदमी का बेटा हूँ। और मैं सब चीज़ों का प्रभु हूँ यहाँ तक कि शनिवार का भी!” | The Lord Jesus Heals a Paralyzed Man
1 Several days later the Lord Jesus came back to Capernaum town. The people heard that He came home.
2 Soon so many people gathered in the house that there was no space left. People stood even outside the door. And the Lord Jesus preached the Word of God the Creator to them.
3 Four men arrived carrying a paralyzed man.
4 But they could not get to the Lord Jesus because of the crowd. So they climbed up the roof of the house and made a hole. Then they lowered the paralyzed man on his mat, right down in front of the Lord Jesus.
5 The Lord Jesus saw their faith, and He said to the paralyzed man, “My son, I forgive your sins.”
6 But some teachers of the Law of God the Creator were sitting there. They thought in their hearts,
7 “What? He said a curse against God the Creator! Only God the Creator has authority to forgive sins!”
8 Immediately the Lord Jesus knew in His spirit what they were thinking. So He said to them, “Why are you thinking these things in your hearts?
9 Is it easier to say to the paralyzed man, 'I forgive your sins'? Or to say, 'Get up, take your mat and walk'?
10 But I want you to know that I, the Son of Man, have authority on earth to forgive sins.” And He said to the paralyzed man,
11 “I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.”
12 Immediately the man got up. He took his mat and walked out in front of the crowd. The whole crowd was amazed. They started praising God the Creator. The people said, “We have never seen anything like this!”
The Calling of Levi
13 Then the Lord Jesus went out to the lakeshore again. Crowds of people gathered around Him, and He taught them.
14 When the Lord Jesus walked along, He saw Levi son of Alphaeus. Levi was a tax collector and was sitting at his office. The Lord told him, “Follow Me”. Levi got up and followed Him.
15 The Lord Jesus and His followers had dinner at Levi’s house. Many tax collectors and people of bad reputation were eating with them also. There were many people like them who followed the Lord Jesus.
16 The teachers of the Law of God the Creator saw that the Lord Jesus was eating with the people of bad reputation and tax collectors. These teachers were members of a religious political party called the Pharisees. They would never eat with such kind of people! So they asked Jesus’ disciples, “Why does your Teacher eat with such bad people?”
17 When the Lord Jesus heard it, He replied, “If people think that they are healthy, they will never go to doctor. But if they understand that they are sick, they will go to doctor for sure. In the same way, I came to call those who understand that they are sinners, so that they could stop their sinful lifestyle. But if people think that they are righteous enough, they will never listen to Me.”
People Ask the Lord about Fasting
18 John’s followers and the Pharisees fasted regularly. Some people came and asked the Lord Jesus, “Why do John’s followers and the Pharisees fast, but your disciples do not fast?”
19 The Lord replied, “Do wedding guests fast while celebrating with the bridegroom? Of course not! They cannot fast while they are with the bridegroom.
20 But the time will come when the bridegroom will leave them. Then in those days they will fast.
21 Nobody stitches a piece of new cloth on old clothes. If he does, the new piece will pull away from the old clothes. It will make the hole bigger than before.
22 And no one pours new wine into old leather bottle, because the new wine will continue to ferment. And then the new wine will burst the bottle, because the bottle cannot stretch itself. So both the new wine, and the old bottle will be wasted. People pour new wine into a new bottle.”
The Lord Jesus is More Important than the Law about Saturday
23 One day the Lord Jesus and His followers were going through the grainfields. It was on Saturday – a special day of rest and worship for Jewish people. While walking Jesus’ followers began to pick some heads of grain.
24 The Pharisees said to the Lord Jesus, “Today is the Saturday. On this day it is prohibited to work! Why then your followers are picking up the grain?! They break the Law of God the Creator.”
25 But the Lord Jesus replied, “Of course, you have read in the Holy Book what King David did, haven’t you? He and his people were hungry. They were in need.
26 It happened when Abiathar was a High Priest of God the Creator. King David went to the House of God. There were the special chapattis. Priests brought it before God as an offering. As you know according to the Law only priests have the right to eat this special chapattis. But King David ate the chapattis, and he also gave it to his people.”
27 Then the Lord Jesus said to the Pharisees, “God the Creator gave us this Law about the Saturday to benefit us. He made the Saturday for man. He did not make man for the Saturday.
28 I am the Son of Man. And I am the Lord of everything and even the Saturday!” |
अध्याय 3 | Chapter 3 |
1 फिर से प्रभु यीशु सृष्टी के परमेश्वर के प्रार्थना घर में गये। वहाँ पर एक आदमी था जिसका हाथ सिकुड़ा हुआ था।
2 क्योंकि यह शनिवार का दिन था इसलिए प्रभु यीशु के दुश्मन उन्हें ध्यान से देख रहे थे। क्या वे शनिवार के दिन उस आदमी को ठीक करेंगे? उन्होंने योजना बनायी कि अगर प्रभु यीशु ने ऐसा किया तो वे उन पर दोष लगाएंगे।
3 प्रभु ने उस सिकुड़े हुए हाथ वाले आदमी से कहा, “सबके सामने खड़े हो जाओ।”
4 तब उन्होंने लोगों से पूछा, “सृष्टी के परमेश्वर का कानून हमें शनिवार को क्या करने की आज्ञा देता है? क्या हमें अच्छा काम करना चाहिए या बुरा? क्या हमें जीवन बचाना चाहिए या मार डालना चाहिए? लेकिन वे चुप रहे।”
5 प्रभु यीशु ने चारों ओर नज़र घुमाकर उन्हें गुस्से से देखा। वे उनके ज़िद्दी दिलों के कारण बहुत दुखी थे। तब उन्होंने उस आदमी से कहा, “अपना हाथ फैलाओ।” उसने अपना हाथ फैलाया, और उसका हाथ ठीक हो गया, बिल्कुल दूसरे हाथ की तरह!
6 उसी समय फरीसी चले गये और राजा हेरोदेस के लोगों से मिले। वे प्रभु यीशु को मारने की योजना बनाने लगे।
प्रभु यीशु के पीछे भीड़ का चलना
7 प्रभु यीशु और उनके चेले झील की ओर गये। एक बड़ी भीड़ उनके पीछे चली। लोग सारे गलील, यहूदिया,
8 यरूशलेम, इदूमिया, यरदन नदी के पूर्वी ओर से और सूर और सैदा के जितनी दूर से भी आये। लोग बड़ी संख्या में प्रभु यीशु के पास आये क्योंकि उन्होंने प्रभु यीशु के काम के बारे में सुना था।
9 वहाँ इतनी भीड़ थी कि प्रभु ने अपने चेलों से अपने लिए एक नाव तैयार करने को कहा।
10 प्रभु ने बहुतों को ठीक किया, इसलिए बीमार लोग उन्हें छूने के लिए आगे को धक्का दे रहे थे।
11 जब उन लोगों ने जिनके अन्दर बुरी आत्माएँ थीं प्रभु यीशु को देखा तब वे उनके सामने गिर गये। आत्माएँ चिल्ला उठी, “तू सृष्टी के परमेश्वर का बेटा है!”
12 लेकिन प्रभु ने उन्हें कड़ी चेतावनी दी कि वे किसी को यह न बतायें कि वे कौन थे।
प्रभु यीशु का बारह दूतों को चुनना
13 तब प्रभु यीशु पहाड़ पर गये। उन्होंने उन चेलों को बुलाया जिन्हें वे बुलाना चाहते थे। और वे प्रभु के पास आये।
14 प्रभु यीशु ने उनमें से बारह चेलों को चुना और उन्हें दूत कहकर बुलाया। ताकि वे प्रभु के साथ रहें और प्रभु उन्हें प्रचार करने के लिए भेज सकें।
15 और उनके पास बीमारियों को ठीक करने और बुरी आत्माओं को निकालने का अधिकार हो।
16 इसलिए प्रभु यीशु ने बारह दूतों को चुना। शमौन उनमें से एक था। प्रभु ने उसका नाम पतरस रखा।
17 दूसरे जब्दी के बेटे, याकूब और यूहन्ना थे। प्रभु ने उनका नाम गरज के बेटे रखा।
18 अन्द्रियास,फिलिप्पुस,बरतुल्मै,मत्ती,थोमा, हलफई का बेटा याकूब, तद्दै, शमौन कनानी भी वहाँ थे।
19 और यहूदा इस्करियोति भी उनमें से एक था जिसने बाद में प्रभु यीशु को धोखा दिया।
कानून के शिक्षकों का यह कहना कि प्रभु यीशु में बुरी आत्मा है
20 फिर प्रभु यीशु एक घर में आये। भीड़ फिर से जमा होने लगी। प्रभु और उनके चेले लोगों के साथ इतने बिज़ी थे कि उनके पास खाने के लिए भी समय नहीं था।
21 यीशु के परिवार ने सुना कि क्या हो रहा था। इसलिए उन्होंने आकर प्रभु यीशु को ले जाने की कोशिश की क्योंकि कुछ लोगों ने कहा, “उनका दिमाग खराब हो गया है!”
22 कुछ सृष्टी के परमेश्वर के कानून के शिक्षक यरूशलेम से आये। उन्होंने प्रभु के बारे में कहा, “वह शैतान के वश में है जो बुरी आत्माओं का राजा है! शैतान उसे बुरी आत्माओं को निकालने की शक्ति देता है !”
23 इसलिए प्रभु यीशु ने उन्हें बुलाया। उन्होंने उनसे कहानियों का इस्तेमाल करके बात की, “शैतान कैसे शैतान को निकाल सकता है?”
24 अगर एक राज्य अपने ही खिलाफ़ लड़े तो वह बरबाद हो जाएगा।
25 अगर एक घर को उसी के खिलाफ़ बाँट दिया जाए तो वह टूट जाएगा।
26 अगर शैतान अपने ही खिलाफ़ लड़े और बँट जाए तो वह खत्म हो जाएगा। वह उसका अन्त है।
27 क्या कोई किसी शक्तिशाली आदमी के घर में ऐसे ही घुसकर उसे लूट लेता है? बिलकुल नहीं! पहले शक्तिशाली आदमी को बाँधना ज़रूरी है। तब चोर उसका घर लूट सकता है।
28 सच यह है कि सृष्टी के परमेश्वर लोगों को उनके सारे पाप और यहाँ तक कि अपने खिलाफ़ सबसे भयानक श्राप भी माफ़ कर देंगे।
29 लेकिन सृष्टी के परमेश्वर उस व्यक्ति को कभी माफ़ नहीं करेंगे जो पवित्र आत्मा के खिलाफ़ श्राप देता है। ऐसा व्यक्ति हमेशा के लिए दोषी ठहराया जाएगा।
30 प्रभु यीशु ने ऐसा इसलिए कहा क्योंकि कानून के शिक्षकों ने कहा था कि उनके अन्दर बुरी आत्मा है।
यीशु की माँ और भाई
31 यीशु की माँ और भाई उस घर में आये जहाँ प्रभु यीशु शिक्षा दे रहे थे। वे बाहर खड़े रहे और उन्होंने किसी को प्रभु यीशु को बुलाने के लिए अन्दर भेजा।
32 प्रभु के चारों ओर भीड़ बैठी हुई थी। और किसी ने उनसे कहा, “आपकी माँ और भाई बाहर हैं। वे आपको ढूँढ़ रहे हैं।”
33 प्रभु यीशु ने जवाब दिया, “मेरी माँ कौन हैं? मेरे भाई कौन हैं?”
34 तब उन्होंने अपने चारों ओर बैठे हुए लोगों को देखकर कहा, “ये मेरी माँ और मेरे भाई हैं!
35 कोई भी जो सृष्टी के परमेश्वर की इच्छानुसार काम करता है वह मेरा भाई, बहन और माँ है।” | 1 Again the Lord Jesus went to the Prayer House of God the Creator. There was a man with a deformed hand.
2 Since it was Saturday, Jesus’ enemies watched Him closely. Would He heal the man on the Saturday? If He did, they planned to accuse Him.
3 The Lord said to the man with the deformed hand, “Stand up in front of everyone.”
4 Then He asked the people, “What does the Law of God the Creator command us to do on the Saturday? Should we do good or evil? Should we save life or kill?” But they kept silent.
5 The Lord Jesus looked around at them in anger. He was deeply upset because of their stubborn hearts. Then He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand became normal, just like the other hand!
6 At once the Pharisees went away and met with King Herod’s people. They began to make plans how to kill the Lord Jesus.
Crowds Follow the Lord Jesus
7 The Lord Jesus and His disciples went out to the lake. A huge crowd followed Him. People came from all over Galilee, Judea,
8 Jerusalem, Idumea, from east of the Jordan River, and even from as far away as Tyre and Sidon. Great numbers of people came to the Lord Jesus, because they heard about what He was doing.
9 It was so crowded that the Lord asked His followers to get a boat ready for Him.
10 The Lord healed many, so the sick people were pushing forward to touch Him.
11 When people with evil spirits saw the Lord Jesus, they fell down in front of Him. The spirits cried out, “You are the Son of God the Creator!”
12 But the Lord gave them strict orders not to tell who He was.
The Lord Jesus Chooses the Twelve Apostles
13 Then the Lord Jesus went up on a mountain. He called those followers whom He wanted. And they came to Him.
14 The Lord Jesus selected twelve of them and called them Apostles. So that they might be with Him, and He might send them out to preach.
15 And they would have authority to heal sicknesses and drive out evil spirits.
16 So the Lord Jesus chose the Twelve Apostles. Simon was one of them. The Lord called him Peter.
17 The others were James and John, the sons of Zebedee. The Lord called them “Sons of Thunder”.
18 There were also Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Zealot.
19 And Judas Iscariot was also one of them who later betrayed the Lord Jesus.
The Teachers of the Law Say that the Lord Jesus Has an Evil Spirit
20 Then the Lord Jesus came to a house. Crowds began to gather again. The Lord and His followers were so busy with the people that they even did not have time to eat.
21 Jesus’ family heard what was happening. So they came and tried to take Him away, because some people said, “He is out of His mind!”
22 Some teachers of the Law of God the Creator came all the way from Jerusalem. They said about the Lord, “He is under the control of Satan, the ruler of the evil spirits! Satan gives Him power to drive out evil spirits!”
23 So the Lord Jesus called them. He spoke to them using stories, “How can Satan drive out Satan?
24 If a kingdom fights against itself, it cannot stand.
25 If a home is divided against itself, it cannot stand.
26 And if Satan fights against himself and is divided, he cannot stand. That is the end of him.
27 Can anyone just enter a house of a strong man and rob him? Of course not! First, the strong man must be tied up. Then the thief can rob his house.
28 The truth is God the Creator will forgive people all their sins and even the most terrible curses against Him.
29 But God the Creator will never forgive a person who speaks curses against the Holy Spirit. Such a person will be guilty forever.
30 The Lord Jesus told this, because the teachers of the Law said that He had an evil spirit.
Jesus’ Mother and Brothers
31 Jesus’ mother and brothers arrived at the house where the Lord Jesus was teaching. They stood outside and sent someone in to call Him.
32 A crowd was sitting around the Lord. And someone said to Him, “Your mother and Your brothers are outside. They are looking for You.”
33 The Lord Jesus replied, “Who is My mother? Who are My brothers?”
34 Then He looked at the people sitting around Him and said, “These are My mother and My brothers!
35 Anyone who does the will of God the Creator is My brother and sister and mother.” |
अध्याय 4 | Chapter 4 |
एक किसान की कहानी
1 प्रभु यीशु फिर से झील के किनारे शिक्षा देने लगे। भीड़ जो उनके चारों ओर इकट्ठा हुई थी वह बहुत बड़ी थी। इसलिए प्रभु नाव में चढ़कर बैठ गये। सारे लोग किनारे पर थे।
2 और प्रभु ने कहानियों का इस्तेमाल करके उन्हें कई बातें सिखाई। उन्होंने अपनी शिक्षाओं में कहा,
3 “सुनो! एक किसान कुछ बीज बोने गया।
4 उसने बीजों को खेत में बिखेरा। कुछ बीज रास्ते में गिरे। और पक्षियों ने आकर उन्हें खा लिया।
5 कुछ बीज पथरीली जगह पर गिरे। वहाँ ज़्यादा मिट्टी नहीं थी। पौधे बहुत जल्दी उग गये क्योंकि मिट्टी गहरी नहीं थी।
6 लेकिन जब सूरज उगा तब उसने पौधों को जला दिया। वे सूख गये क्योंकि उनकी जड़े नहीं थीं।
7 कुछ बीज काँटों में गिरे। पौधों के चारों ओर काँटे बड़े हो गये। इसलिए पौधों में फल नहीं आये।
8 कुछ बीज अच्छी मिट्टी पर गिरे। वे बड़े होकर फ़सल लाये। उनमें से कुछ किसान के बीज से 30, कुछ 60 और यहाँ तक कि कुछ 100 गुना ज़्यादा फल लाये।”
9 तब प्रभु यीशु ने कहा, “कोई भी जो सुनना चाहता है उसे सुनना और समझना चाहिए!”
10 बाद में ज़्यादातर लोग उस जगह से चले गये जहाँ प्रभु यीशु थे। उनके बारह दूतों और चारों ओर के दूसरे लोगों ने प्रभु से कहानी के बारे में पूछा।
11 उन्होंने जवाब दिया, “सृष्टि के परमेश्वर ने अपने राज्य के राज़ तुम्हारे लिए खोले हैं। लेकिन बाहर वालों के लिए मैं कहानी का इस्तेमाल करके बात करता हूँ।
12 जैसे प्रभु का संदेश लाने वाले यशायाह ने कहा था, “वे देखेंगे लेकिन कभी नहीं जानेंगे कि वे क्या देख रहे हैं। वे सुनेंगे लेकिन कभी नहीं समझेंगे। इसलिए वे अपने पापों से नहीं मुड़ेंगे और सृष्टि के परमेश्वर उन्हें माफ़ नहीं करेंगे।”
13 फिर प्रभु यीशु ने उनसे पूछा, “क्या तुम इस कहानी को नहीं समझते? फिर तुम दूसरी कहानियों को कैसे समझोगे?”
14 किसान सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के वचन को बोता है।
15 जो रास्ते में गिरे वे बीज क्या थे? जब लोग सन्देश सुनते हैं तब वचन बोया जाता है। लेकिन उसी समय शैतान आता है। वह उस वचन को ले जाता है जो उनके दिलों में बोया गया था।
16 और जो पथरीली जगह पर गिरे वे बीज क्या थे? लोग सृष्टि के परमेश्वर का वचन सुनते हैं। और उसी समय वे उसे आनन्द के साथ स्वीकार करते हैं।
17 लेकिन उनकी जड़ें नहीं होती हैं। इसलिए वे थोड़े समय के लिए ही विश्वास करते हैं। जब परमेश्वर के वचन की वजह से परेशानी या दुख आता है तब ऐसे लोग जल्दी ही विश्वास करना छोड़ देते हैं।
18 और जो काँटों में गिरे वे बीज क्या थे? लोग सृष्टि के परमेश्वर का वचन सुनते हैं।
19 लेकिन फिर उनके पास जीवन की परेशानियाँ आती हैं। धन अपने झूठे वादों के साथ आता है। और दूसरी चीज़ों के लिए इच्छाएँ आती हैं। ये सब चीज़ें ऐसे लोगों के अन्दर आती हैं। यह सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के वचन के विकास को रोक देती है। इसलिए उनके जीवन में कोई फल नहीं होता है।
20 और जो अच्छी मिट्टी पर गिरे वे बीज क्या थे? लोग सृष्टि के परमेश्वर का वचन सुनकर उसे स्वीकार करते हैं। वे फ़सल पैदा करते हैं - किसान के बीज से कुछ 30, कुछ 60 और यहाँ तक कि कुछ 100 गुना ज़्यादा फल लाते हैं।”
दीपक की जगह
21 फिर प्रभु यीशु ने उनसे पूछा, “क्या तुम दीपक अन्दर लाकर उसे कटोरे के नीचे या बिस्तर के नीचे रखते हो? बिल्कुल नहीं! तुम उसे किसी ऊँची जगह पर रखते हो।
22 हर चीज़ जो अभी छिपी हुई या गुप्त में रखी हुई है अन्त में खोल दी जायेगी।
23 कोई भी जो सुनना चाहता है उसे सुनना और समझना चाहिए!”
24 फिर प्रभु यीशु ने कहा, “जो तुम सुनते हो उसके बारे में ध्यान से सोचो। जिस नाप से तुम देते हो उसी नाप से तुम्हें भी मिलेगा। वास्तव में, तुम जो ध्यान से सुनते हो तुम्हें और भी ज़्यादा मिलेगा।
25 अगर तुम्हारे पास कुछ है तो तुम्हें और ज़्यादा मिलेगा। अगर तुम्हारे पास कुछ नहीं है तो तुम उसे भी खो दोगे जो तुम्हारे पास है।”
बढ़ते हुए बीज की कहानी
26 फिर प्रभु यीशु ने कहा, “परमेश्वर का राज्य इस तरह का है। एक किसान खेत में बीज बोता है।
27 बीज दिन-रात बढ़ते रहते हैं। यह होते रहता है चाहे किसान सो रहा हो या जाग रहा हो। वह नहीं जानता कि बीज कैसे बढ़ते हैं।
28 धरती खुद ही फ़सल उगाती है। पहले पत्तियाँ आती हैं। फिर गेहूँ की बालियाँ बनती हैं। और आखिर में अनाज आता है।
29 और जैसे ही अनाज पकता है किसान उसे काट देता है क्योंकि फ़सल तैयार हो जाती है।”
सरसों के बीज की कहानी
30 फिर प्रभु यीशु ने कहा, “हम परमेश्वर के राज्य को किसकी तरह कह सकते हैं? हम उसे समझाने के लिए कौनसी कहानी का इस्तेमाल कर सकते हैं?
31 यह सरसों के छोटे बीज की तरह है। यह धरती पर सबसे छोटे बीजों में से एक है।
32 लेकिन जब इसे बोया जाता है तब यह सबसे बड़े पौधों में से एक बनता है। यह बढ़ा होकर अपनी शाखाओं को फैलाता है ताकि पक्षी इसकी छाया में आराम कर सकें।”
33 प्रभु यीशु ने लोगों को सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के वचन की शिक्षा देने के लिए ऐसी कई कहानियों का इस्तेमाल किया। उन्होंने उतना ही प्रचार किया जितना कि लोग समझ सकते थे।
34 उनहोंने लोगों को कहानी का इस्तेमाल किए बिना कुछ भी नहीं सिखाया। लेकिन जब प्रभु यीशु अपने चेलों के साथ अकेले थे तब उन्होंने सब कुछ समझाया।
प्रभु यीशु का तूफ़ान को शान्त करना
35 जब शाम हुई तो प्रभु यीशु ने अपने चेलों से कहा, “चलो, झील के उस पार चलते हैं।”
36 इसलिए वे भीड़ को पीछे छोड़कर प्रभु यीशु के साथ नाव में चले गये। लेकिन दूसरी नावों ने उनका पीछा किया।
37 थोड़ी देर बाद बहुत बड़ा तूफ़ान शुरू हो गया। ऊँची लहरें नाव में आने लगीं। इसलिए वह पानी से लगभग भर गयी थी।
38 प्रभु यीशु पीछे तकिये पर सो रहे थे। उनके चेलों ने उन्हें चिल्लाकर उठाया, “गुरु जी! हम डूब रहे हैं! क्या आपको कोई चिन्ता नहीं है?!”
39 प्रभु ने उठकर हवा को रुकने की आज्ञा दी। उन्होंने लहरों से कहा, “शान्त हो जाओ! ठहर जाओ! अचानक हवा रुक गयी और वहाँ बहुत शान्ति थी।”
40 उन्होंने अपने चेलों से पूछा, “तुम इतने डरे हुए क्यों हो? क्या तुम्हें अब भी विश्वास नहीं है?”
41 चेले पूरी तरह से डर गये थे। उन्होंने एक दूसरे से पूछा, “ये आदमी कौन हैं? यहाँ तक कि हवा और लहरें भी उनकी बात मानती हैं!” | The Story about the Farmer
1 Again the Lord Jesus began to teach by the lakeshore. The crowd that gathered around Him was very large. So He got into a boat and sat down there. All the people were along the edge of the shore.
2 And the Lord taught them many things by using stories. He said in His teaching,
3 “Listen! A farmer went out to plant some seeds.
4 He scattered the seeds on the field. Some seeds fell on the path. And the birds came and ate it.
5 Some seeds fell on rocky places. There was not much soil. The plants came up quickly, because the soil was not deep.
6 But when the sun came up, it burned the plants. They dried up, because they had no roots.
7 Some seeds fell among thorns. The thorns grew up around the plants. So the plants did not bear fruit.
8 Some seeds fell on good soil. It grew up and produced a crop. Some of them produced 30, some 60, and some even 100 times more than the farmer planted.”
9 Then the Lord Jesus said, “Anyone who is willing to hear should listen and understand!”
10 Later most of the people left the place where the Lord Jesus was. The Twelve Apostles and the others around Him asked the Lord about the story.
11 He replied, “God the Creator opened the secrets of His Kingdom to you. But to outsiders I speak using stories.
12 As Prophet Isaiah said, “They will see, but never know what they are seeing. They will hear, but never understand. So they will not turn from their sins, and God the Creator will not forgive them.”
13 Then the Lord Jesus asked them, “Don’t you understand this story? How then will you understand all the other stories?”
14 The farmer plants the word of God the Creator.
15 What were the seeds which fell on the path? When people hear the message, the word is planted. But immediately Satan comes. He takes away the word that was planted in their hearts.
16 And what were the seeds which fell on rocky places? The people hear the word of God the Creator. And immediately they receive it with joy.
17 But they have no roots. So they believe only for a short time. When trouble or suffering comes because of the word of God, such people quickly fall away from the faith.
18 And what were the seeds which fell among thorns? The people hear the word of God the Creator.
19 But then the worries of this life come to them. Wealth comes with its false promises. And the desires for other things come. All of those come inside of such people. It stops the growth of the word of God the Creator. So there is no fruit in their lives.
20 And what were the seeds which fell on good soil? The people hear the word of God the Creator and accept it. They produce crop – some 30, some 60, and some even 100 times more than the farmer planted.”
A Lamp on a Stand
21 Then the Lord Jesus asked them, “Do you bring in a lamp and then put it under a bowl or under a bed? Of course not! You put it on its stand.
22 Everything what is now hidden or kept in secret finally will be opened.
23 Anyone who is willing to hear should listen and understand!”
24 Then the Lord said, “Think carefully about what you hear. In the same measure as you give so you will receive. In fact, you who listen carefully will receive even more.
25 If you have something, you will get more. If you have nothing, you will lose even what you have.”
The Story of the Growing Seed
26 Then the Lord Jesus said, “This is what the Kingdom of God is like. A farmer plants seeds on a field.
27 Night and day the seeds grow. It happens whether the farmer sleeps or gets up. He does not know how the seeds grow.
28 The earth produces crops by itself. First leaves push through. Then the heads of wheat are formed. And finally the grain comes.
29 And as soon as the grain is ripe, the farmer cuts it down, because the harvest is ready.”
The Story of the Mustard Seed
30 Then the Lord Jesus said, “What can we say the Kingdom of God is like? What story can we use to explain it?
31 It is like a small mustard seed. This is one of the smallest seeds on earth.
32 But when it is planted, it becomes one of the largest plants. It grows and spreads its branches so that birds can rest in its shade.”
33 The Lord Jesus used many such stories to teach people the word of God the Creator. He preached as much as people were able to understand.
34 He did not teach anything to people without using a story. But when the Lord Jesus was alone with His followers, He explained everything.
The Lord Jesus Calms the Storm
35 When evening came, the Lord Jesus said to His followers, “Let’s cross to the other side of the lake.”
36 So they left the crowd behind and took the Lord in the boat. But other boats followed them.
37 Soon a wild storm started. High waves began to come into the boat. So it was almost full of water.
38 The Lord Jesus was in the back, sleeping on a cushion. His followers woke Him up, shouting, “Teacher! We are drowning! Don’t you care?!”
39 The Lord got up and ordered the wind to stop. He said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm.
40 He asked His followers, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”
41 They were absolutely terrified. They asked each other, “Who is this Man? Even the wind and the waves obey Him!” |

प्रभु यीशु का एक आदमी को बुरी आत्माओं के वश से छुड़ाना
1 प्रभु यीशु और उनके दूत झील की दूसरी ओर गिरासेनियों के प्रदेश में पहुँचे।
2 प्रभु नाव से उतरे। उसी समय एक आदमी कब्रस्तान से भागकर उनसे मिलने आया। वह आदमी पूरी तरह से बुरी आत्मा के वश में था।
3 वह आदमी कब्रस्तान में रहता था। कोई भी उसे बाँध नहीं सकता था। ज़ंजीर भी उसे नहीं रोक सकती थी।
4 लोगों ने कई बार उसके हाथ और पैर ज़ंजीर से बाँधे। लेकिन उसने ज़ंजीरों और पैर की बेड़ियों को तोड़कर टुकड़े-टुकड़े कर दिया। कोई भी इतना शक्तिशाली नहीं था कि उसे वश में कर सके।
5 वह दिन-रात कब्रों के बीच और पहाड़ों पर चींखता-चिल्लाता रहता था। वह खुद को पत्थरों से काटता था।
6 लेकिन जब उसने प्रभु यीशु को दूर से देखा तो वह उनके पास भागा। और वह प्रभु के सामने अपने घुटनों पर गिर गया।
7 वह ज़ोर से चिल्लाया, “यीशु, सबसे ऊँचे परमेश्वर के बेटे, तू मुझ से क्या चाहता है? मैं तुझ से विनती करता हूँ, भगवान के लिए, मुझे मत सता!”
8 बुरी आत्मा इस तरह इसलिए चिल्लायी क्योंकि प्रभु यीशु ने उससे पहले ही कह दिया था, “बुरी आत्मा, उस आदमी से बाहर निकल!”
9 फिर प्रभु ने पूछा, “तेरा नाम क्या है?” बुरी आत्मा ने जवाब दिया,“मेरा नाम सेना है क्योंकि हम बहुत सारे हैं।”
10 और बुरी आत्माओं ने प्रभु यीशु से बार–बार विनती की कि वे उन्हें उस इलाके से बाहर न भेजें।
11 सूअर का एक बड़ा झुंड नज़दीक के पहाड़ी इलाके पर चर रहा था।
12 बुरी आत्माओं ने प्रभु से विनती की, “हमें उन सूअरों में भेज दे। हमें उनमें जाने दे।”
13 और प्रभु ने इसकी आज्ञा दे दी। बुरी आत्माएँ उस आदमी से निकलकर सूअरों में चली गयीं। उस झुंड में लगभग 2,000 सूअर थे। और पूरा झुंड झील की ओर एक गहरी ढलान पर से दौड़कर डूब गया।
14 सूअरों के रखवाले भाग गये। उन्होंने शहर और गाँवों में लोगों को इस बारे में बताया। और हर कोई यह देखने के लिए गया कि क्या हुआ था।
15 जल्दी ही प्रभु यीशु के चारों ओर भीड़ जमा हो गयी। उन्होंने उस आदमी को देखा जिसमें बहुत सी बुरी आत्माएँ थीं। वह वहाँ बैठा था। वह कपड़ों में और सही दिमागी हालत में था। इससे लोग डर गये।
16 वे लोग जिन्होंने देखा कि क्या हुआ था उन्होंने हर किसी को उस आदमी और सूअरों के बारे में बताया।
17 तब लोग प्रभु यीशु से उनकी जगह से चले जाने के लिए विनती करने लगे।
18 इसलिए प्रभु वापस नाव में चले गये। जो आदमी अब बुरी आत्माओं से आज़ाद था उसने प्रभु के साथ जाने के लिए विनती की।
19 प्रभु ने उसे अपने साथ नहीं जाने दिया लेकिन कहा, “अपने परिवार के पास अपने घर जाओ। उन्हें बताओ कि प्रभु ने तुम्हारे लिए कितना कुछ किया है और प्रभु ने कैसे तुम्हारे ऊपर दया की है।”
20 इसलिए वह आदमी उस इलाके में चला गया जो दस शहर कहलाता था। वहाँ वह बताने लगा कि प्रभु यीशु ने उसके लिए कितना कुछ किया है। और सब लोग हैरान हो गए।
एक मरती हुई लड़की और एक पीड़ित औरत
21 प्रभु यीशु वापस झील के पार दूसरे किनारे पर चले गये। वहाँ उनके चारों ओर बड़ी भीड़ इकट्ठी हो गयी।
22 फिर एक आदमी आया, उसका नाम याईर था। वह सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के प्रार्थना घर के मुखियाओं में से एक था। और जब उसने प्रभु यीशु को देखा तो वह उनके पैरों पर गिर गया।
23 वह प्रभु के सामने गिड़गिड़ाया, “मेरी छोटी बेटी मर रही है। कृपया आकर उसे ठीक करने के लिए अपने हाथ उसके ऊपर रख दीजिए। तब वह जी पायेगी।”
24 इसलिए प्रभु यीशु याईर के साथ गये। लोगों का बहुत बड़ा समुह उनके पीछे चला। वे प्रभु के चारों ओर जमा हो गये।
25 भीड़ में एक औरत थी। उसे बारह साल से खून बहने की बीमारी थी।
26 वह इलाज के लिए बहुत से डॉक्टरों के पास गयी और बहुत पीड़ित रही। उसने अपना सारा पैसा इलाज में खर्च कर दिया। लेकिन उसकी हालत ठीक होने के बजाय बिगड़ती जा रही थी।
27 फिर उसने प्रभु यीशु के बारे में सुना। उसने भीड़ में उनके पीछे आकर उनके कपड़ों को छुआ।
28 उसने ऐसा इसलिए किया क्योंकि वह कहती थी, “अगर मैं सिर्फ़ उनके कपड़ों को छू लूँ तो मैं ठीक हो जाऊँगी।”
29 फ़ौरन खून बहना बन्द हो गया। और उसे महसूस हुआ कि वह ठीक हो गयी थी।
30 उसी समय प्रभु यीशु को पता चला कि उनमें से शक्ति निकली थी। इसलिए उन्होंने भीड़ में चारों ओर घूमकर पूछा, “मेरे कपड़ों को किसने छुआ?”
31 उनके चेलों ने उनसे कहा, “देखो, सारी भीड़ आपके चारों ओर धक्का दे रही है। आप कैसे पूछ सकते हैं, मुझे किसने छुआ?”
32 लेकिन प्रभु यीशु चारों ओर देखते रहे। वे देखना चाहते थे कि उन्हें किसने छुआ।
33 वह औरत डर से काँप रही थी। वह जानती थी कि उसके साथ क्या हुआ। इसलिए वह आकर प्रभु यीशु के पैरों पर गिर गयी। और उसने उन्हें सारी सच्चाई बता दी।
34 प्रभु यीशु ने उससे कहा, “बेटी, तुम्हारे विश्वास ने तुम्हें बचाया है। शान्ति से जाओ और अपनी बीमारी से आज़ाद रहो।”
35 जब प्रभु बात कर ही रहे थे, कुछ लोग याईर के घर से आये। उन्होंने कहा, “तुम्हारी बेटी मर गयी है। तुम अब भी गुरु को क्यों परेशान कर रहे हो?”
36 लेकिन प्रभु ने उनके शब्दों पर ध्यान नहीं दिया। उन्होंने याईर से कहा, “डरो मत। सिर्फ़ विश्वास करो।”
37 और उन्होंने पतरस, याकूब और याकूब के भाई यूहन्ना के अलावा किसी को भी अपने पीछे नहीं आने दिया।
38 वे याईर के घर आये। वहाँ लोग मातम मना रहे थे। वे ज़ोर से रो रहे थे और शोक कर रहे थे।
39 प्रभु यीशु अन्दर गये। तब प्रभु ने उन से कहा, “तुम लोग इतना मातम और शोक क्यों मना रहे हो? बच्ची मरी नहीं है। वह सिर्फ़ सो रही है।”
40 लेकिन वे प्रभु पर हँसने लगे। इसलिए प्रभु ने उन सब को बाहर जाने को कहा। फिर वे लड़की के माता-पिता और अपने तीन चेलों को अन्दर उस कमरे में ले गये जहाँ वह लड़की लेटी हुई थी।
41 प्रभु ने उसका हाथ पकड़ा। फिर उन्होंने उससे कहा, “छोटी लड़की, मैं तुम से कहता हूँ, उठ जाओ!”
42 उसी समय वह लड़की, जो बारह साल की थी, उठ गयी। वह चारों ओर घूमने लगी। लोग बिल्कुल हैरान रह गये।
43 प्रभु यीशु ने कड़ी आज्ञा दी कि जो कुछ हुआ उसे किसी को न बतायें। और प्रभु ने उनसे कहा कि लड़की को कुछ खाने को दें। | The Lord Jesus Heals a Man Controlled by Evil Spirits
1 The Lord Jesus and His Apostles arrived at the other side of the lake, to the region of Gerasenes.
2 The Lord got out of the boat. At that very moment a man ran out from a graveyard to meet Him. That man was completely under the control of an evil spirit.
3 The man lived in the tombs. No one could keep him tied up anymore. Not even a chain could hold him.
4 People often chained his hands and feet. But he tore the chains apart and the irons on his feet. No one was strong enough to control him.
5 Each night and every day he screamed among the tombs and in the hills. He cut himself with stones.
6 But when he saw the Lord Jesus from a distance, he ran to Him. And he fell on his knees in front of the Lord.
7 He shouted at the top of his voice, “Jesus, Son of the Most High God, what do You want with me? I beg You, for God’s sake, don’t torture me!”
8 The evil spirit shouted like this, because the Lord Jesus already said to him, “Come out of this man, you evil spirit!”
9 Then the Lord asked, “What is your name?” The evil spirit replied, “My name is Legion, because there are many of us.”
10 And the evil spirits begged the Lord Jesus again and again not to send them out of the region.
11 A large herd of pigs was feeding on the nearby hillside.
12 The evil spirits begged the Lord, “Send us into those pigs. Allow us to go into them.”
13 And the Lord allowed it. The evil spirits came out of the man and went into the pigs. There were about 2,000 pigs in the herd. And the whole herd rushed down a sharp slope into the lake, and they were drowned.
14 Pig’s keepers ran off. They told the people in the town and in the villages about it. And everyone went out to see what happened.
15 Soon a crowd gathered around the Lord Jesus. They saw the man who had many evil spirits. He was sitting there. He was dressed and in his right mind. This frightened the people.
16 Those people who saw what happened told everyone about the man and the pigs.
17 Then the people began to beg the Lord Jesus to leave their place.
18 So the Lord got back into the boat. The man who was now free from the evil spirits begged to go with Him.
19 The Lord did not let him, but said, “Go home to your family. Tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how the Lord had mercy on you.”
20 So the man went away to the region called the Ten Cities. There he began to tell how much the Lord Jesus did for him. And all the people were amazed.
A Dying Girl and a Suffering Woman
21 The Lord Jesus went back across to the other side of the lake. There a large crowd gathered around Him.
22 Then a man came, his name was Jairus. He was one of the leaders of the Prayer House of God the Creator. And when he saw the Lord Jesus, he fell at His feet.
23 He begged the Lord, “My little daughter is dying. Please come and place your hands on her to heal her. Then she will live.”
24 So the Lord Jesus went with Jairus. A large group of people followed them. They crowded around the Lord.
25 There was a woman in the crowd. She had a sickness that made her bleed for the past twelve years.
26 She visited many doctors and suffered a lot. She spent all her money to pay them. But she was getting worse, not better.
27 Then she heard about the Lord Jesus. She came up behind Him in the crowd and touched His clothes.
28 She did it, because she said, “If I just touch His clothes, I will be healed.”
29 Immediately the bleeding stopped. And she could feel that she was healed!
30 At that very moment the Lord Jesus realized that power went out from Him. So He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched My clothes?”
31 His followers said to Him, “Look, all this crowd is pressing around You. How can you ask, ‘Who touched Me?”
32 But the Lord Jesus kept looking around. He wanted to see who touched Him.
33 The woman was shaking with fear. She knew what happened to her. So she came and fell at Jesus’ feet. And she told Him the whole truth.
34 The Lord Jesus said to her, “Daughter, your faith has saved you. Go in peace and be free from your sickness.”
35 While the Lord was still speaking, some people came from the house of Jairus. They said, “Your daughter is dead. Why are you still troubling the Teacher?”
36 But the Lord did not pay attention to their words. He said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid. Just believe.”
37 And He did not let anyone follow Him except Peter, James and John the brother of James.
38 They came to Jairus’ home. People were deeply distressed there. They were weeping and mourning loudly.
39 The Lord Jesus went inside. Then He said to them, “Why are you so distressed and mourning? The child is not dead. She is only sleeping.”
40 But they laughed at Him. So the Lord told them all to go outside. Then He took the girl’s father and mother and His three followers to the room where the girl was lying.
41 The Lord took her by the hand. Then He said to her, “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”
42 Immediately the girl, who was twelve years old, stood up. She started walking around. People were absolutely amazed!
43 The Lord Jesus gave a strict order not to tell anyone what happened. And He told them to give her something to eat. |
अध्याय 6 | Chapter 6 |
प्रभु का संदेश लाने वाले का असम्मान
1 प्रभु यीशु देश के उस हिस्से से चले गये। वे अपने शहर, नासरत को लौटे। उनके चेले उनके साथ गये।
2 जब शनिवार आया तो वे सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के प्रार्थना घर में शिक्षा देने लगे। बहुत लोग जिन्होंने उनकी बात सुनी वे हैरान हो गये। उन्होंने पूछा, “इस आदमी ने ये बातें कहाँ से सीखीं? इसे इतनी बुद्धि कहाँ से मिली? यहाँ तक कि वह ऐसे चमत्कार भी करता है!
3 वह तो सिर्फ़ कार्पेन्टर है, मरियम का बेटा। और उसके भाई याकूब, योसेस, यहूदा और शमौन हैं। उसकी बहनें हमारे बीच में रहती हैं।” लोगों ने प्रभु को स्वीकार नहीं किया और उन पर विश्वास करने से मना कर दिया।
4 तब प्रभु यीशु ने उन्हें बताया, “प्रभु का संदेश लाने वाले को अपने शहर के अलावा हर जगह सम्मान मिलता है। वह अपने रिश्तेदारों और अपने परिवार के बीच कोई सम्मान नहीं पाता है।”
5 प्रभु ने कुछ बीमार लोगों पर हाथ रखकर उन्हें ठीक किया। लेकिन वे वहाँ पर और कोई चमत्कार नहीं कर सके।
6 और उन्हें हैरानी हुई क्योंकि उनके शहर के लोगों में विश्वास नहीं था। फिर प्रभु यीशु लोगों को शिक्षा देते हुए गाँव-गाँव गये।
प्रभु यीशु का बारह दूतों को भेजना
7 प्रभु यीशु ने बारह दूतों को अपने पास बुलाकर उन्हें दो-दो करके भेज दिया। प्रभु ने उन्हें बुरी आत्माओं को निकालने का अधिकार दिया।
8 प्रभु के आदेश ये थे, “अपनी यात्रा के लिए सिर्फ़ एक छड़ी लेना। अपने साथ खाना, झोला और पैसे मत लेना।
9 चप्पल पहनना और दूसरे कपड़े मत लेना।”
10 और प्रभु ने उनसे कहा, “अगर कोई तुम्हें अपने घर में ठरहने के लिए बुलाये तो उस शहर को छोड़ने तक तुम वहीं रहना।
11 हो सकता है कि कुछ जगहों पर तुम्हारा स्वागत न हो या वे तुम्हें न सुने। इसलिए जब तुम उस जगह को छोड़ो तो अपने पैरों की धूल झाड़ लेना। वह वहाँ पर रहने वाले लोगों के खिलाफ़ एक गवाही होगी।”
12 इसलिए बारह दूत चले गये। और उन्होंने प्रचार किया कि लोगों को सृष्टि के परमेश्वर से अपने पापों के लिए माफ़ी माँगनी चाहिए। उन्हें अपने पापों से जीने का तरीका छोड़कर नया जीवन शुरू करना चाहिए।
13 उन्होंने बहुत सी बुरी आत्माओं को निकाला। उन्होंने बहुत से बीमार लोगों पर तेल मलकर उन्हें ठीक किया।
राजा हेरोदेस का यूहन्ना को मारना
14 राजा हेरोदेस ने प्रभु यीशु के बारे में सुना क्योंकि उनका नाम प्रसिद्ध हो गया था। कुछ लोग कह रहे थे, “यह यूहन्ना ही हो सकता है जिसने सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के नाम से लोगों को पवित्र स्नान दिया था। वह फिर से जीवित हो गया है। इसीलिए उसके पास ऐसे चमत्कार करने की शक्ति है।”
15 दूसरे लोगों ने प्रभु यीशु के बारे में कहा, “वह प्रभु का संदेश लाने वाला एलिय्याह है जो बहुत साल पहले रहता था।” लेकिन दूसरों ने कहा, “वह प्रभु का संदेश लाने वाला है। वह पुराने समय में प्रभु का संदेश लाने वालों की तरह एक है।”
16 लेकिन जब हेरोदेस ने यह सुना तो उसने कहा, “मैंने यूहन्ना का सिर कटवाने की आज्ञा दी थी। और अब वह फिर से जीवित हो गया है!”
17 वास्तव में, हेरोदेस ने ही यूहन्ना को गिरफ़्तार करने के लिए सिपाही भेजे थे। उन्होंने यूहन्ना को बाँधकर जेल में डाल दिया। हेरोदेस ने ऐसा हेरोदियास के कारण किया। वह हेरोदेस के भाई फिलिप्पुस की पत्नि थी। लेकिन अब हेरोदेस ने उससे शादी कर ली थी।
18 यूहन्ना हेरोदेस से कहता रहा, “तुम्हारा अपने भाई की पत्नि से शादी करना परमेश्वर के कानून के खिलाफ़ है।”
19 हेरोदियास युहन्ना से बहुत गुस्सा हुई। वह उसे मारना चाहती थी लेकिन वह ऐसा नहीं कर सकी।
20 हेरोदेस यूहन्ना से डरता था। वह जानता था कि यूहन्ना एक अच्छा और पवित्र आदमी है। इसलिए उसने यूहन्ना को सुरक्षित रखा। जब हेरोदेस ने उसकी बात सुनी तो वह परेशान हो गया। लेकिन फिर भी वह यूहन्ना की बातें सुनना पसन्द करता था।
21 आखिर में हेरोदियास को मौका मिल ही गया। हेरोदेस ने अपने जन्म-दिन पर बड़ी दावत दी। उसने अपने बड़े अधिकारियों और सेनापतियों को बुलाया। उसने गलील प्रदेश के सबसे खास लोगों को भी बुलाया।
22 फिर हेरोदियास की बेटी ने अन्दर आकर नाच दिखाया। उसने हेरोदेस और उसके मेहमानों को खुश कर दिया। राजा ने उस लड़की से कहा, “तुम जो चाहे माँगो, मैं तुम्हें दूँगा।”
23 और उसने कसम खाकर कहा, “तुम मेरे राज्य के आधे हिस्से तक जो भी माँगो मैं तुम्हें दूँगा!”
24 उसने जाकर अपनी माँ से पूछा, “मुझे क्या माँगना चाहिए?” उसकी माँ ने उससे कहा, “यूहन्ना का सिर माँगो!”
25 लड़की ने जल्दी से राजा के पास आकर कहा, “मैं चाहती हूँ कि आप मुझे अभी एक बड़े थाल में यूहन्ना का सिर दें।”
26 राजा बहुत दुखी हुआ। लेकिन वह अपने मेहमानों के सामने अपनी कसम नहीं तोड़ना चाहता था।
27 उसी समय उसने एक सिपाही को यूहन्ना का सिर लाने के लिए भेजा। वह सिपाही जेल में गया और यूहन्ना का सिर काट दिया।
28 फिर वह उसे एक बड़े थाल में लेकर वापस आया। उसने उसे लड़की को दिया। और लड़की ने उसे अपनी माँ को दिया।
29 यूहन्ना के चेलों ने इसके बारे में सुना। इसलिए वे आकर उसका शव ले गये। फिर उन्होंने उसे एक कब्र में दफ़ना दिया।
प्रभु यीशु का पाँच हज़ार को खिलाना
30 प्रभु यीशु के चारों ओर बारह दूत जमा हो गये। उन्होंने जो कुछ किया और सिखाया उसके बारे में प्रभु को बताया।
31 तब प्रभु ने कहा, “कुछ समय भीड़ से दूर जाकर आराम करते हैं।” उन्होंने ऐसा इसलिए कहा क्योंकि वहाँ बहुत से लोग आ-जा रहे थे। प्रभु यीशु और उनके दूतों के पास खाने के लिए भी समय नहीं था।
32 इसलिए वे नाव में एक शान्त जगह पर चले गये।
33 लेकिन बहुत से लोगों ने उन्हें जाते हुए देखा। उन्होंने प्रभु और उनके दूतों को पहचान लिया। इसलिए लोग सारे शहरों से भागकर उनसे पहले वहाँ पहुँच गये।
34 प्रभु यीशु ने नाव से उतरकर बहुत बड़ी भीड़ देखी। प्रभु ने उन पर तरस खाया क्योंकि वे बिना चरवाहे की भेड़ों की तरह थे। इसलिए प्रभु उन्हें बहुत सी बातें सिखाने लगे।
35 शाम को यीशु के चेलों ने उनके पास आकर कहा, “यह एक सुनसान जगह है, और देर हो रही है।
36 लोगों को भेज दीजिए। ताकि वे नज़दीक के खेतों और गाँवों में जाकर कुछ खाना खरीद सकें।”
37 लेकिन प्रभु यीशु ने जवाब दिया, “तुम ही उन्हें कुछ खाने को दो।” उन्होंने प्रभु से कहा, “उसका खर्चा एक आदमी की आठ महीने की सेलरी के बराबर होगा! क्या हम जाकर इतना पैसा खाने में खर्च करें?!”
38 प्रभु ने पूछा, “तुम्हारे पास कितना खाना है? जाओ और देखो।” जब उन्होंने देखा तो कहा, “पाँच रोटियाँ और दो मछलियाँ।”
39 फिर प्रभु यीशु ने अपने दूतों से उनकी मदद करने के लिए कहा। उन्होंने सब लोगों को मैदान में हरी घास पर झुण्डों में बिठा दिया।
40 इसलिए वे सौ-सौ और पचास-पचास लोगों के झुंड में बैठ गये।
41 प्रभु ने पाँच रोटियों और दो मछलियों को लिया। उन्होंने ऊपर स्वर्ग की ओर देखकर सृष्टि के परमेश्वर को धन्यवाद दिया। उन्होंने रोटियों के टुकड़े-टुकड़े किए। फिर वे रोटियाँ और मछलियाँ अपने चेलों को देते रहे। और चेले उन्हें लोगों को दे रहे थे।
42 उन सब ने जितना चाहा उतना खाया।
43 उसके बाद यीशु के चेलों ने रोटियों के टुकड़ों और मछलियों की बारह टोकरियाँ उठायीं।
44 कुल 5,000 आदमियों ने उन पाँच रोटियों और दो मछलियों से खाया।
प्रभु यीशु का पानी पर चलना
45 इसके बाद फ़ौरन प्रभु यीशु ने अपने चेलों को नाव में चढ़ने की आज्ञा दी। उन्होंने चेलों को उनसे पहले झील के दूसरे किनारे पर बैतसैदा जाने को कहा। फिर उन्होंने भीड़ को भेज दिया।
46 उसके बाद प्रभु ने एक पहाड़ी पर जाकर अकेले प्रार्थना की।
47 जब शाम हुई तब नाव झील के बीच में थी। प्रभु यीशु ज़मीन पर अकेले थे।
48 उन्होंने देखा कि उनके चेले बहुत बड़ी मुसीबत में थे क्योंकि वे हवा के खिलाफ़ लड़ रहे थे। सुबह के करीब तीन बजे प्रभु पानी पर चलते हुए उनके पास आये। वे उनके पास से गुज़रने वाले थे।
49 अचानक उनके चेलों ने उन्हें पानी पर चलते हुए देखा। उन्होंने सोचा वह भूत है और वे डर के मारे चिल्लाने लगे।
50 जब उन्होंने प्रभु को देखा तो वे सब डर गए। उसी समय प्रभु अपने चलों से बोले, “साहसी बनो। यह मैं हूँ। डरो मत!”
51 फिर प्रभु नाव में चढ़े और हवा रुक गयी। उनके चेले पूरी तरह से हैरान हो गये।
52 वे अभी तक रोटियों के बढ़ने के चमत्कार का मतलब नहीं समझ पाये थे। उनके दिल कठोर थे और उन्होंने विश्वास नहीं किया।
53 वे झील की दूसरी ओर गन्नेसरत में पहुँचे। वहाँ उन्होंने नाव बाँधी।
54 जैसे ही वे नाव से उतरे लोगों ने प्रभु यीशु को पहचान लिया।
55 वे बीमार लोगों को प्रभु के पास लाने के लिए पूरे इलाके में भागे। उन्होंने जहाँ पर भी प्रभु यीशु के होने की खबर सुनी वे बीमार लोगों को चटाई पर वहीं ले आए।
56 प्रभु छोटे-बड़े शहरों और गाँवों में गये। वे जहाँ भी गये लोग बीमार लोगों को सड़कों पर ले आये। बीमार लोगों ने प्रभु से विनती की कि प्रभु उन्हें अपने कपड़ों का किनारा छूने दें। और सारे लोग जिन्होंने उन्हें छुआ वे ठीक हो गये। | A Prophet without Honor
1 The Lord Jesus left that part of the country. He returned to His hometown, Nazareth. His followers went with Him.
2 When the Saturday came, He began to teach in the Prayer House of God the Creator. Many who heard Him were amazed. They asked, “Where did this Man get these things? Where did He get all His wisdom? He even does such miracles!
3 He is just a carpenter, the son of Mary. And His brothers are James, Joseph, Judas, and Simon. His sisters live among us.” The people did not accept the Lord and refused to believe in Him.
4 Then the Lord Jesus told them, “A prophet is honored everywhere except in his own hometown. He does not receive any honor among his relatives and his own family.”
5 The Lord laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. But He could not do any other miracles there.
6 And He was amazed, because the people from His hometown had no faith. Then the Lord Jesus went from village to village teaching the people.
The Lord Jesus Sends Out the Twelve Apostles
7 The Lord Jesus called the Twelve Apostles to Him and sent them out two by two. He gave them authority to drive out evil spirits.
8 These were His instructions, “Take only a walking stick for your trip. Do not take food or a bag with you. Take no money.
9 Wear sandals and do not take extra clothes.”
10 And the Lord said to them, “If somebody invites you to stay in his house, stay there until you leave town.
11 Some places may not welcome you or listen to you. Then shake the dust off your feet when you leave. That will be a witness against the people living there.”
12 So the Twelve Apostles went out. And they preached that people should ask God the Creator to forgive their sins. They should stop their sinful lifestyle and begin a new life.
13 They drove out many evil spirits. They put oil on many sick people and healed them.
King Herod Kills John
14 King Herod heard about the Lord Jesus, because His name became well known. Some people were saying, “This must be John who gave people the Holy Bath in the name of God the Creator. He came back to life again. That is why he has the power to do such miracles.”
15 Other people said about the Lord Jesus, “He is Prophet Elijiah who lived long ago.” But others said, “He is a Prophet. He is like one of the Prophets of the past.”
16 But when Herod heard this, he said, “I ordered to cut off John’s head. And now he came back to life again!”
17 In fact, Herod sent soldiers to arrest John. They tied John up and put him in prison. Herod did this because of Herodias. She was the wife of Herod’s brother Philip. But now Herod was married to her.
18 John kept telling Herod, “It is against God’s Law for you to marry your brother’s wife.”
19 Herodias was very angry at John. She wanted to kill him, but she could not.
20 Herod feared John. He knew that John was a good and holy man. So he kept John safe. When Herod heard him, he was disturbed. But still he liked to listen to John.
21 Herodias’ chance finally came. Herod gave a big dinner on his birthday. He invited his high officials and military leaders. He also invited the most important men from Galilee region.
22 Then the daughter of Herodias came in and danced. She pleased Herod and his guests. The king said to the girl, “Ask me for anything you want, and I will give it to you.”
23 And he promised her with an oath, “I will give you whatever you ask, even up to half of my kingdom!”
24 She went out and asked her mother, “What should I ask for?” Her mother told her, “Ask for John’s head!”
25 The girl came in quickly to the king and said, “I want you to give me John’s head on a big plate right now.”
26 The king was very upset. But he did not want to break his oath in front of his guests.
27 Immediately he sent a soldier to bring John’s head. The soldier went to the prison and cut off John’s head.
28 Then he brought it back on a big plate. He gave it to the girl. And she gave it to her mother.
29 John’s followers heard about this. So they came and took his body. Then they buried it in a tomb.
The Lord Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand
30 The Twelve Apostles gathered around the Lord Jesus. They reported to Him all they did and taught.
31 Then the Lord said, “Let’s get away from the crowds for some time and rest.” He said it, because there were so many people coming and going. The Lord Jesus and His Apostles didn’t even have time to eat.
32 So they went away in a boat to a quiet place.
33 But many people saw them leaving. They recognized the Lord and His Apostles. So people ran from all the towns and got there before them.
34 The Lord Jesus got out of the boat and saw a large crowd. He had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So the Lord began teaching them many things.
35 At the end of the day Jesus’ followers came to Him and said, “This is a lonely place, and it is getting late.
36 Send the people away. So they can go to the nearby farms and villages and buy some food.”
37 But the Lord Jesus answered, “You give them something to eat.” They said to Him, “That would cost eight months of a man's salary! Should we go and spend that much on food?!”
38 The Lord asked, “How much food do you have? Go and see.” When they found out, they said, “Five chapattis and two fishes.”
39 Then the Lord Jesus directed His Apostles to help Him. They made all the people sit down in groups on the green grass.
40 So they sat down in groups of 100s and 50s.
41 The Lord took the five chapattis and the two fishes. He looked up to heaven and gave thanks to God the Creator. He broke the chapattis into pieces. Then He kept giving the chapattis and fishes to His followers. And they were giving it to the people.
42 All of them ate as much as they wanted.
43 The followers of Jesus picked up twelve baskets of broken pieces of chapattis and fishes.
44 Totally 5,000 men ate those five chapattis and two fishes!
The Lord Jesus Walks on Water
45 Immediately after this the Lord Jesus ordered His followers to get into the boat. He sent them to go before Him to the other side of the lake to Bethsaida. Then He sent the crowd away.
46 After that the Lord went up on a hillside and prayed alone.
47 When evening came, the boat was in the middle of the lake. The Lord Jesus was alone on land.
48 He saw that His followers were in serious trouble, because they were struggling against the wind. About three o’clock in the morning the Lord came to them, walking on the water. He was about to pass by them.
49 Suddenly His followers saw Him walking on the water. They thought it was a ghost, and they screamed out of fear.
50 They were all terrified when they saw the Lord. Immediately He spoke to His followers, “Be brave. It is Me. Don’t be afraid!”
51 Then the Lord climbed into the boat, and the wind stopped. His followers were completely amazed.
52 They still didn’t understand the meaning of the miracle of the multiplied chapattis. Their hearts were hard, and they did not believe.
53 They arrived at Gennesaret on the other side of the lake. There they tied up the boat.
54 As soon as they got out of the boat, people recognized the Lord Jesus.
55 They ran through the whole region to bring to Him those who were sick. They carried them on mats to where they heard He was.
56 The Lord went to big and small towns and the villages. Everywhere He went, the people brought the sick on the streets. The sick begged the Lord to let them touch just the edge of His clothes. And all the people who touched Him were healed. |

कौन सी चीज़ लोगों को “अशुद्ध” बनाती है?
1 एक दिन सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के कानून के शिक्षक और कुछ फरीसी यरूशलेम से आये। वे प्रभु यीशु के चारों ओर इकट्ठे हो गये।
2 उन्होंने प्रभु के कुछ चेलों को “अशुद्ध” हाथों से खाना खाते देखा। इसका मतलब यह है कि यीशु के चेलों ने सामान्य यहूदी परंपरा के अनुसार हाथ नहीं धोये थे।
3 सारे यहूदी और फरीसी रिवाज के अनुसार हाथ धोने के बाद ही खाना खाते हैं। यह बुज़ुर्ग लोग सिखाते हैं।
4 जब वे बाज़ार से आते हैं तो वे तब तक खाना नहीं खाते जब तक कि वे परंपरा के अनुसार शुद्ध न हो लें। और वे बहुत सी दूसरी परंपराओं को भी मानते हैं जैसे कप, हँड़ियाँ, बरतन और टेबल को पारंपरिक तरीके से धोना।
5 इसलिए फरीसी और कानून के शिक्षकों ने प्रभु यीशु से पूछा, “आपके चेले बुज़ुर्गों की परंपरा के अनुसार क्यों नहीं रहते? वे अपना खाना ‘अशुद्ध’ हाथों से क्यों खाते हैं?”
6 प्रभु ने जवाब दिया, “प्रभु का संदेश लाने वाला यशायाह सही था। बहुत साल पहले सृष्टि के परमेश्वर ने उसके द्वारा तुम ढोंगियों के बारे में कहा था जो सिर्फ़ दिखाते हैं कि वे अच्छे हैं। परमेश्वर ने कहा, ‘ये लोग अपनी बातों से तो मेरा सम्मान करते हैं। लेकिन इनके दिल मुझ से बहुत दूर हैं।
7 इनकी आराधना मेरे लिए कोई मायने नहीं रखती। वे आदमी के बनाये गये नियमों के अलावा और कुछ नहीं सिखाते हैं।’
8 इसलिए तुम सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के कानून से मुड़ गये हो। लेकिन तुम लोगों के नियमों को मानते हो।”
9 प्रभु यीशु ने उनसे आगे कहा, “तुम परमेश्वर के कानूनों को कितनी चतुराई से अस्वीकार करते हो ताकि तुम अपनी खुद की परंपराओं को मानते रहो।
10 उदाहरण के लिए सृष्टि के परमेश्वर ने तुम्हें प्रभु का संदेश लाने वाले मूसा के द्वारा यह कानून दिया: ‘अपने माता और पिता का आदर करो। कोई भी जो अपने माता या पिता के बारे में बुरा बोलता है उसे मार डाला जाये।’
11 लेकिन तुम लोगों को उनके माता-पिता से कहने देते हो, ‘माफ़ कीजिए, मैं आपकी मदद नहीं कर सकता। जो मैं तुम्हें दे सकता था उसे मैंने परमेश्वर को देने का वादा किया है।’
12 इस तरह से तुम उन्हें उनके ज़रूरतमन्द माता-पिता को अनदेखा करने देते हो।
13 इसलिए तुम सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के वचन की जगह पर अपनी शिक्षाएं देते हो। तुम परमेश्वर के वचन को बेकार बनाते हो। और यह तो सिर्फ़ एक उदाहरण है। तुम ऐसे कई काम करते हो।”
14 फिर से प्रभु यीशु ने भीड़ को अपने पास बुलाया। उन्होंने कहा, “सब लोग मेरी बात सुनो और इसे समझो।
15 बाहर की कोई भी चीज़ मनुष्य के अन्दर जाकर उसे ‘अशुद्ध’ नहीं बना सकती। बल्कि जो मनुष्य से बाहर आता है वह उसे ‘अशुद्ध’ बनाता है।
16 जो कोई सुनना चाहता है उसे सुनना और समझना चाहिए!”
17 फिर प्रभु यीशु ने भीड़ को छोड़कर घर में प्रवेश किया। और उनके चेलों ने उनकी बात का मतलब पूछा।
18 प्रभु ने कहा, “क्या तुम भी नहीं समझते? क्या तुम नहीं देखते? कुछ भी जो बाहर से आदमी के अन्दर जाता है उसे ‘अशुद्ध’ नहीं बना सकता।
19 खाना उसके दिल में नहीं जाता। यह उसके पेट में जाता है। फिर शरीर से बाहर निकल जाता है।” ऐसा कहकर प्रभु ने दिखाया कि हर तरह का खाना खाया जा सकता है।
20 और उन्होंने आगे कहा, “जो आदमी से बाहर आता है वह उसे ‘अशुद्ध’ बनाता है।
21 लोगों के दिलों के अन्दर से बुरे विचार, अनैतिक सम्बन्ध, व्यभिचार और हत्या आते हैं।
22 चोरी, लालच, बुरा करने की इच्छा, धोखा, हवस-भरी अभिलाषा की उत्सुकता, जलन, गाली, घमंड और मूर्खता भी लोगों के दिलों से ही आते हैं।
23 ये सारी बुरी चीज़ें अन्दर से आती हैं और आदमी को ‘अशुद्ध’ बनाती है।
यूनानी औरत का विश्वास
24 फिर प्रभु यीशु गलील से सूर के प्रदेश को चले गये। जब वे घर पहुँचे तो वे नहीं चाहते थे कि कोई जाने कि वे कहाँ हैं। लेकिन वे इसे राज़ नहीं रख सके।
25 जल्दी ही एक औरत ने उनके बारे में सुना। उसकी छोटी बेटी एक बुरी आत्मा के वश में थी। वह औरत प्रभु यीशु के पास आकर उनके पैरों पर गिर गयी।
26 उसने प्रभु से विनती की कि वे उसकी बेटी से बुरी आत्मा को निकाल दें। वह यहूदी नहीं थी लेकिन यूनानी थी जिसका जन्म सुरूफिनीकी में हुआ था।
27 इसलिए प्रभु यीशु ने उससे कहा, “पहले मुझे यहूदियों की मदद करनी चाहिए। बच्चे जो खाना चाहते हैं उन्हें खाने दो। बच्चों की रोटियाँ लेकर कुत्तों के सामने डालना ठीक नहीं है।”
28 उसने जवाब दिया, “हाँ प्रभु, लेकिन कुत्ते भी टेबल के नीचे से बच्चों के छोड़े हुए टुकड़ों को खाते हैं।”
29 फिर प्रभु ने उससे कहा, “तुमने जो कहा उसके कारण बुरी आत्मा ने तुम्हारी बेटी को छोड़ दिया है। तुम अब जा सकती हो।”
30 और जब वह घर पहुँची तो उसने अपनी बेटी को शान्ति से बिस्तर पर लेटा हुआ पाया। बुरी आत्मा जा चुकी थी।
प्रभु यीशु का एक आदमी को ठीक करना जो न सुन सकता था और न बोल सकता था
31 फिर प्रभु यीशु सूर के प्रदेश से निकलकर सैदा से होते हुए गये। वे गलील के समुद्र और दस शहर के इलाके में आये।
32 वहाँ कुछ लोग एक आदमी को उनके पास लाये। वह आदमी बहरा था और मुश्किल से बोलता था। उन्होंने प्रभु यीशु से विनती की कि प्रभु उस आदमी की चंगाई के लिए अपना हाथ उसके ऊपर रखें।
33 प्रभु उस आदमी को भीड़ से दूर एक अलग जगह पर ले गये। उन्होंने अपनी उँगलियाँ उस आदमी के कान में डाली। फिर उन्होंने थूका और उस आदमी की जीभ को छुआ।
34 प्रभु ने स्वर्ग की ओर देखा। उन्होंने गहरी साँस लेकर आज्ञा दी, “खुल जा!”
35 उसी समय वह आदमी एकदम साफ़ सुनने लगा। उसकी जीभ खुल गयी और वह साफ़ बोलने लगा।
36 प्रभु यीशु ने भीड़ को यह बात किसी को न बताने का आदेश दिया। लेकिन जितना ही उन्होंने मना किया लोगों ने उतनी ही ज़्यादा खबर फैलाई।
37 हर कोई पूरी तरह से हैरान था। लोग प्रभु यीशु के बारे में बात करते रहे, “उन्होंने हर काम बहुत बढ़िया किया है! यहाँ तक कि वे बहरों को सुनने वाला और गूँगों को बोलने वाला बनाते हैं।” | What Makes People "Unclean"?
1 One day teachers of the Law of God the Creator and some Pharisees arrived from Jerusalem. They gathered around the Lord Jesus.
2 They saw some of His followers eating food with “unclean” hands. That means that Jesus’ followers did not wash their hands according to the usual Jewish ritual.
3 All the Jews and the Pharisees eat only after they do ceremonial washing of their hands. That’s what the elders teach.
4 When they come from the market, they do not eat unless they do ritual washing. And they observe many other traditions such as ritual washing cups, pots, vessels, and tables.
5 So the Pharisees and the teachers of the Law asked the Lord Jesus, “Why don’t Your followers live according to the tradition of the elders? Why do they eat their food with ‘unclean’ hands?”
6 The Lord replied, “Prophet Isaiah was right. Long ago God the Creator spoke through him about you hypocrites, who only pretend to be good. God said, ‘These people honor Me by what they say. But their hearts are far away from Me.
7 Their worship doesn’t mean anything to Me. They teach nothing but man-made rules.’
8 So you turned away from the Law of God the Creator. But you keep the rules of men.”
9 Then the Lord Jesus said to them, “How skillfully you reject God’s Laws so that you may hold on to your own traditions!
10 For example, God the Creator gave you this law through Prophet Moses: ‘Honor your father and mother. Anyone who speaks evil of father or mother must be put to death.’
11 But you allow people to say to their parents, ‘Sorry, I can’t help you. I have promised to give to God what I could have given to you.’
12 In this way, you allow them to ignore their needy parents.
13 So you put your own teachings in the place of the word of God the Creator. You make the word of God useless. And this is only one example. You do many things like that.”
14 Again the Lord Jesus called the crowd to Him. He said, “Everyone, listen to Me and understand this.
15 Nothing outside of a man can make him ‘unclean’ by going into him. Rather, it is what comes out of a man that makes him ‘unclean.’
16 Anyone who is willing to hear should listen and understand!”
17 Then the Lord Jesus left the crowd and entered the house. And His followers asked Him about what He just said.
18 The Lord asked, “Don’t you understand either? Don’t you see? Nothing that enters a man from the outside can make him ‘unclean.’
19 Food doesn’t go into his heart. It goes into his stomach. Then it comes out of the body.” By saying this, the Lord showed that every kind of food is acceptable to eat.
20 And then He added, “It is what comes out of a man that makes him ‘unclean’.
21 Evil thoughts, sexual immorality, adultery, and murder come from the inside, from people’s hearts.
22 Theft, greed, desire to do evil, cheating, eagerness for lustful pleasure, envy, abusive language, pride, and foolishness come from people’s hearts also.
23 All these evil things come from the inside and make the man ‘unclean’.
The Faith of a Greek Woman
24 Then the Lord Jesus left Galilee and went to the region of Tyre. When He arrived at a house, He did not want anyone to know where He was. But He could not keep it a secret.
25 Soon a woman heard about Him. Her little daughter was under the control of an evil spirit. The woman came to the Lord Jesus and fell at His feet.
26 She begged Him to drive the evil spirit out of her daughter. She was not a Jew, but a Greek born in Syrian Phoenicia.
27 That is why the Lord Jesus told her, “First I should help the Jews. Let the children eat all they want. It is not right to take from the children their chapattis and throw it to the dogs.”
28 She replied, “Yes, Lord, but even the dogs under the table eat the pieces dropped by the children.”
29 Then the Lord told her, “Because of what you said, the evil spirit has left your daughter. You may go now.”
30 And when she arrived home, she found her daughter lying quietly in bed. The evil spirit was gone.
The Lord Jesus Heals a Man Who Could Neither Hear Nor Speak
31 Then the Lord Jesus left the region of Tyre and went through Sidon. He came to the Sea of Galilee and to the region of the Ten Cities.
32 There some people brought a man to Him. The man was deaf and could hardly speak. They begged the Lord Jesus to place His hand on the man to heal him.
33 The Lord took the man aside, away from the crowd. He put His fingers into the man’s ears. Then He spit and touched the man’s tongue.
34 The Lord looked up to heaven. He took a deep breath and commanded, “Be opened!”
35 Immediately the man could hear perfectly. His tongue was freed up, and he began to speak clearly.
36 The Lord Jesus ordered the crowd not to tell anyone. But the more He prohibited them, the more people spread the news.
37 Everyone was completely amazed. People kept saying about the Lord Jesus, “He has done everything well! He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak." |

प्रभु यीशु का चार हज़ार लोगों को खिलाना
1 उन दिनों के दौरान दूसरी बड़ी भीड़ इकट्ठा हुई। उनके पास खाने के लिए कुछ भी नहीं था। इसलिए प्रभु यीशु ने अपने चेलों को बुलाकर कहा,
2 “मुझे इन लोगों पर तरस आता है। ये मेरे साथ तीन दिन से हैं और इनके पास खाने के लिए कुछ भी नहीं है।
3 अगर मैं उन्हें भूखा भेजता हूँ तो वे घर जाते हुए रास्ते में बहुत कमज़ोर हो जायेंगे। उनमें से कुछ बहुत दूर से आये हैं।”
4 यीशु के चेलों ने जवाब दिया, “यह सुनसान जगह है। किसी को इतनी रोटियाँ कहाँ मिल सकती हैं कि उनके लिए काफ़ी हो?”
5 फिर प्रभु ने पूछा, “तुम्हारे पास कितनी रोटियाँ हैं?” उन्होंने जवाब दिया, “सात।”
6 प्रभु ने भीड़ को नीचे ज़मीन पर बैठने के लिए कहा। उन्होंने सात रोटियाँ ली और परमेश्वर को धन्यवाद दिया। फिर उन्होंने रोटियों के टुकड़े करके अपने चेलों को दिये। और चेलों ने रोटियाँ भीड़ में बाँट दीं।
7 यीशु के चेलों के पास कुछ छोटी मछलियाँ भी थीं। प्रभु यीशु ने उन्हें भी आशीष दी। फिर उन्होंने अपने चेलों से मछलियाँ बाँटने को भी कहा।
8 लोगों ने पेट भरकर खाया। उसके बाद यीशु के चेलों ने बचे हुए टुकड़ों के सात टोकरे उठाये।
9 उस दिन भीड़ में लगभग 4,000 लोग थे। खाना खाने के बाद प्रभु यीशु ने उन्हें घर भेज दिया।
10 ठीक उसके बाद प्रभु अपने चेलों के साथ नाव में चढ़ गये। वे दलमनूता इलाके में गये।
11 फिर फरीसी आकर प्रभु से बहस करने लगे। वे उनकी परीक्षा लेना चाहते थे। इसलिए उन्होंने प्रभु से स्वर्ग से चमत्कार के चिन्ह दिखाने को कहा।
12 प्रभु ने गहरी साँस लेकर कहा, “यह पीढ़ी चमत्कारी चिन्ह की माँग क्यों करते रहती है? सच यह है कि इस पीढ़ी को कोई चिन्ह नहीं दिया जायेगा।”
13 इसलिए प्रभु उन्हें छोड़कर वापस नाव में चढ़ गये। वे झील के दूसरे किनारे पर चले गये।
फरीसियों और हेरोदेस का खमीर
14 यीशु के चेले रोटियाँ लाना भूल गये थे। उनके पास नाव में सिर्फ़ एक ही रोटी थी।
15 प्रभु यीशु ने उन्हें चेतावनी दी, “सावधान रहो। फरीसियों और हेरोदेस के खमीर से सावधान रहो।”
16 यीशु के चेलों ने एक दूसरे से इस बारे में बात की, “वे ऐसा इसलिए कह रहे हैं क्योंकि हमारे पास रोटियाँ नहीं हैं।”
17 प्रभु यीशु जानते थे कि वे क्या कह रहे थे। इसलिए प्रभु ने उनसे पूछा, “तुम रोटियाँ न होने के बारे में क्यों बात कर रहे हो? क्या तुम अब भी नहीं समझते? क्या यह अब भी तुम्हारे लिए स्पष्ट नहीं है? क्या तुम्हारे दिल इतने कठोर हैं?”
18 आँखें होते हुए भी क्या तुम नहीं देख सकते? कान होते हुए भी क्या तुम नहीं सुन सकते? और क्या तुम्हें कुछ भी याद नहीं?
19 जब मैंने 5,000 लोगों के लिए पाँच रोटियाँ तोड़ी थीं तो तुमने बचे हुए टुकड़ों के कितने टोकरे उठाये थे?” यीशु के चेलों ने जवाब दिया, “बारह।”
20 प्रभु यीशु ने आगे पूछा, “जब मैंने 4,000 लोगों के लिए सात रोटियाँ तोड़ी थीं तो तुमने बचे हुए टुकड़ों के कितने टोकरे उठाये थे?” उन्होंने जवाब दिया, “सात।”
21 और प्रभु ने उनसे कहा, “क्या तुम अब भी नहीं समझ सकते?”
प्रभु यीशु का एक अन्धे आदमी को ठीक करना
22 प्रभु यीशु और उनके चेले बैतसैदा आये। कुछ लोग एक अन्धे आदमी को लाये। उन्होंने प्रभु से उसे छूने के लिए विनती की।
23 प्रभु यीशु अन्धे आदमी का हाथ पकड़कर उसे गाँव से बाहर ले गये। उन्होंने आदमी की आँखों पर थूका और अपने हाथ उसके ऊपर रखे।
24 उस आदमी ने चारों ओर देखकर कहा, “मैं लोगों को देखता हूँ, लेकिन मैं उन्हें बहुत साफ़ नहीं देख सकता। वे चारों ओर घूमते हुए पेड़ों की तरह दिखाई देते हैं।”
25 फिर से प्रभु यीशु ने उस आदमी की आँखों पर अपने हाथ रखे और उसे ध्यान से देखने की आज्ञा दी। और उसकी आँखें बिल्कुल ठीक हो गयीं। उसे सब कुछ साफ़ दिखाई दिया।
26 प्रभु यीशु ने उसे घर भेजा और कहा, “गाँव में मत जाना और किसी को मत बताना।”
पतरस का प्रभु यीशु को मसीह कहना और प्रभु यीशु का अपनी आने वाली मौत के बारे में बताना
27 प्रभु यीशु और उनके चेले कैसरिया फिलिप्पी के आस पास के गाँवों में गये। रास्ते में प्रभु ने उनसे पूछा, “लोग क्या कहते हैं कि मैं कौन हूँ?”
28 उन्होंने जवाब दिया, “कुछ लोग कहते हैं कि आप यूहन्ना हैं जिसने लोगों को सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के नाम से पवित्र स्नान दिया। दूसरे लोग कहते हैं कि आप प्रभु का संदेश लाने वाले एलिय्याह हैं। लेकिन कुछ और लोग कहते हैं कि आप प्रभु का संदेश लाने वालों में से एक हैं।”
29 फिर प्रभु ने पूछा, “तुम क्या कहते हो कि मैं कौन हूँ?” पतरस ने जवाब दिया, “आप मसीह हैं - सारी सृष्टि के राजा!”
30 और प्रभु यीशु ने उन्हें चेतावनी दी कि वे उनके बारे में किसी को न बतायें।
31 फिर प्रभु यीशु उन्हें शिक्षा देने लगे कि वे, आदमी के बेटे, बहुत भयानक दुख उठाएंगे। नेता, मुख्य पुरोहित और कानून के शिक्षक उन्हें ठुकरायेंगे। वे उन्हें मार डालेंगे। और तीन दिन के बाद वे फिर से जीवित हो जायेंगे।
32 और प्रभु ने इस बारे में अपने चेलों से खुलकर बात की। लेकिन पतरस ने उन्हें अलग ले जाकर उनसे कहा कि उन्हें ऐसी बातें नहीं कहनी चाहिए।
33 प्रभु यीशु ने मुड़कर अपने चेलों को देखा। फिर उन्होंने पतरस को डांटकर कहा, “शैतान, मेरे सामने से चला जा! पतरस, तुम परमेश्वर की चीज़ों के बारे में नहीं सोच रहे हो। तुम चीज़ों को सिर्फ़ मनुष्य के नज़रिये से देख रहे हो।”
34 फिर प्रभु ने भीड़ और अपने चेलों को बुलाकर कहा, “अगर कोई मेरा चेला बनना चाहता है तो उसे खुद को त्यागना होगा। उसे अपनी स्वार्थी महत्वाकांक्षाओं को छोड़ना होगा। उसे अपना क्रूस उठाकर मेरे पीछे चलना होगा।
35 जो कोई अपना जीवन अपने लिए रखना चाहता है वह उसे खोयेगा। लेकिन जो कोई अपना जीवन मेरे लिए या पापों से माफ़ी के बारे में मेरे संदेश के लिए त्याग देता है वह आदमी अपने जीवन को बचायेगा।
36 अगर कोई सारी दुनियाँ को पाए लेकिन अपने प्राण को खो दे तो उस आदमी को क्या लाभ है?
37 या आदमी अपने प्राण के बदले में क्या दे सकता है?
38 इन व्यभिचारी और पापी लोगों में से ऐसे व्यक्ति के बारे में सोचो जो मुझ से या मेरे संदेश से शर्मिन्दा है। मैं, आदमी का बेटा, जब पवित्र स्वर्गदूतों के साथ अपने पिता की महिमा में आऊँगा तब उस व्यक्ति से शर्मिन्दा हूँगा।" | The Lord Jesus Feeds the Four Thousand
1 During those days another large crowd gathered. They had nothing to eat. So the Lord Jesus called His followers and told them,
2 “I am concerned about these people. They have been with Me for three days, and they have nothing to eat.
3 If I send them away hungry, they will become too weak on their way home. Some of them have come from far away.”
4 Jesus’ followers answered, “It is a remote place. Where can anyone get enough chapattis to feed them?”
5 Then the Lord asked, “How many chapattis do you have?” They replied, “Seven.”
6 The Lord told the crowd to sit down on the ground. He took the seven chapattis and gave thanks to God. Then He broke them into pieces and gave them to His followers. And they distributed chapattis to the crowd.
7 Jesus’ followers also had some small fishes. The Lord Jesus blessed them too. Then He told His followers to distribute the fishes also.
8 The people ate and were full. After that Jesus’ followers picked up seven baskets of leftover pieces.
9 There were about 4,000 people in the crowd that day. After they finished their food the Lord Jesus sent them home.
10 Immediately after this, the Lord got into a boat with His followers. They went to the region of Dalmanutha.
11 Then the Pharisees came and began to argue with the Lord. They wanted to put Him to the test. So they asked Him for a miraculous sign from heaven.
12 The Lord sighed deeply and said, “Why does this generation keep demanding a miraculous sign? The truth is no sign will be given to this generation.”
13 So the Lord got back into the boat and left them. He crossed to the other side of the lake.
The Yeast of the Pharisees and Herod
14 Jesus’ followers forgot to bring chapattis. They had only one chapatti with them in the boat.
15 The Lord Jesus warned them, “Be careful. Beware of the yeast of Pharisees and the yeast of Herod.”
16 Jesus’ followers talked about this with each other, “He must be saying this, because we have no chapattis.”
17 The Lord Jesus knew what they were saying. So He asked them, “Why are you talking about having no chapattis? Don’t you still understand? Is it still not clear to you? Are your hearts so hard?
18 You have eyes – can’t you see? You have ears - can’t you hear? And don’t you remember anything?
19 When I broke the five chapattis for the 5,000, how many baskets of leftover pieces did you pick up?” Jesus’ followers replied, “Twelve.”
20 The Lord Jesus continued, “And when I broke the seven chapattis for the 4,000, how many baskets of leftover pieces did you pick up?” They answered, “Seven.”
21 And the Lord said to them, “Can’t you understand yet?”
The Lord Jesus Heals a Blind Man
22 The Lord Jesus and His followers came to Bethsaida. Some people brought a blind man. They begged the Lord to touch him.
23 The Lord Jesus took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. He spit on the man’s eyes and put His hands on him. Then the Lord asked, “Do you see anything?”
24 The man looked around and said, “I see people, but I can’t see them very clearly. They look like trees walking around.”
25 Again the Lord Jesus put His hands on the man’s eyes and commanded him to stare attentively. And his sight was completely restored. He saw everything clearly.
26 The Lord Jesus sent him home and said, “Don’t go to the village. And don’t tell anyone in the village.”
Peter Says That the Lord Jesus Is the Christ. The Lord Jesus Tells About His Coming Death.
27 The Lord Jesus and His followers went to the villages around Caesarea Philippi. On the way the Lord asked them, “Who do people say I am?”
28 They replied, “Some say You are John who gave people the Holy Bath in the name of God the Creator. Others say You are Prophet Elijah. But others say You are one of the Prophets.”
29 Then the Lord asked, “Who do you say I am?” Peter replied, “You are the Christ - King Over All Creation!”
30 And the Lord Jesus warned them not to tell anyone about Him.
31 Then the Lord Jesus began to teach them that He, the Son of Man, would suffer many terrible things. The leaders, the chief priests, and the teachers of the Law would reject Him. They would kill Him. And three days later He would come back to life again.
32 And the Lord talked about this openly with His followers. But Peter took Him aside and told Him that He shouldn’t say such things.
33 The Lord Jesus turned and looked at His followers. Then He said to Peter very sharply, “Get away from Me, Satan! Peter, you are not thinking about the things of God. You are seeing things from a human point of view only.”
34 Then the Lord called the crowd and His followers and said, “If anyone wants to be My follower, he must say no to himself. He must put aside his selfish ambitions. He must pick up his cross and follow Me.
35 Whoever wants to keep his life for himself, will lose it. But whoever gives up his life for My sake and for the sake of My message about forgiveness of sins, that man will save his life.
36 What profit does a man have if he gets all the world but loses his own soul?
37 Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?
38 Think about a person who is ashamed of Me and My message among these adulterous and sinful people. I, the Son of Man, will be ashamed of that person when I come in the glory of My Father with the holy angels." |

1 प्रभु यीशु ने कहा, “सच यह है कि तुम में से कुछ जो यहाँ पर खड़े हैं वे परमेश्वर के राज्य को शक्ति के साथ आते हुए देखने से पहले नहीं मरेंगे।”
प्रभु यीशु का रूप बदलना
2 छः दिन के बाद प्रभु यीशु पतरस, याकूब और यूहन्ना को अपने साथ ले गये। वे उन्हें एक ऊँचे पहाड़ पर ले गये। वहाँ और कोई नहीं था। उनके सामने प्रभु यीशु ने अपना रूप बदला।
3 उनके कपड़े चमकीले और बर्फ़ की तरह सफ़ेद हो गये। इस दुनियाँ में कोई भी उन कपड़ों को इतना सफ़ेद नहीं बना सकता था।
4 तब प्रभु का संदेश लाने वाले एलिय्याह और मूसा प्रकट हुए और प्रभु यीशु से बात करने लगे।
5 पतरस ने प्रभु से कहा, “गुरु जी, हमारे लिए यहाँ पर रहना बहुत अच्छा है। चलिए, हम तीन टेन्ट बनाते हैं। एक आपके लिए होगा, एक मूसा के लिए और एक एलिय्याह के लिए।”
6 पतरस वास्तव में नहीं जानता था कि वह क्या कहे क्योंकि यीशु के चेले बहुत डर गये थे।
7 फिर एक बादल उनके ऊपर आया। बादल में से एक आवाज़ ने कहा, “यह मेरा बेटा है और मैं इससे प्यार करता हूँ। इसकी बात सुनो!”
8 पतरस,याकूब और यूहन्ना ने चारों ओर देखा। अचानक उन्होंने अपने साथ प्रभु यीशु के अलावा और किसी को नहीं देखा।
9 वे पहाड़ से नीचे आये। रास्ते में आते हुए, प्रभु ने उन्हें आज्ञा दी कि जो कुछ उन्होंने देखा वे किसी को न बतायें। प्रभु ने उन्हें तब तक इन्तज़ार करने को कहा जब तक वे, आदमी के बेटे, मरे हुओं में से जीवित न हो जायें।
10 इसलिए उन्होंने ये बात अपने तक ही रखी। लेकिन वे एक दूसरे से पूछ रहे थे, “‘मरे हुओं में से जी उठने’ का क्या मतलब है?”
11 फिर उन्होंने प्रभु यीशु से पूछा, “कानून के शिक्षक ऐसा क्यों कहते हैं कि प्रभु का संदेश लाने वाले एलिय्याह को मसीह के आने से पहले लौटना है?”
12 प्रभु ने जवाब दिया, “यह सही है। प्रभु का संदेश लाने वाले एलिय्याह को हर चीज़ की व्यवस्था करने के लिए पहले ही आना है। तो सृष्टि के परमेश्वर की पवित्र किताब में ऐसा क्यों लिखा है कि मुझे, आदमी के बेटे को, बहुत दुख उठाना होगा और मैं शून्य की तरह बनाया जाऊँगा?
13 लेकिन मैं तुम से कहता हूँ कि प्रभु का संदेश लाने वाला एलिय्याह पहले ही आ चुका है। और लोगों ने उसके साथ वह सब कुछ किया जो वे करना चाहते थे। सृष्टि के परमेश्वर की पवित्र किताब में जैसी भविष्यवाणी की गयी थी लोगों ने बिल्कुल वैसा ही किया।”
प्रभु यीशु का एक लड़के को ठीक करना जिसमें बुरी आत्मा है
14 जब प्रभु यीशु अपने चेलों के पास आये तब उन्होंने चेलों के चारों ओर बहुत बड़ी भीड़ देखी। और सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के कानून के शिक्षक उनके साथ बहस कर रहे थे।
15 प्रभु को देखकर लोग बहुत हैरान हुए। और वे उन्हें नमस्कार करने के लिए दौड़े।
16 प्रभु ने पूछा, “तुम उनके साथ किस बारे में बहस कर रहे हो?”
17 भीड़ में से एक आदमी ने जवाब दिया, “गुरु जी, मैं अपने बेटे को आपके पास लाया था। वह एक गूँगी आत्मा के वश में है।
18 जब वह आत्मा उसे पकड़ती है तो उसे ज़मीन पर गिरा देती है। वह अपने मुँह से झाग निकालता है और अपने दाँत पीसता है। और उसका शरीर अकड़ जाता है। मैंने आपके चेलों से उस आत्मा को निकालने के लिए कहा। लेकिन वे नहीं कर सके।”
19 प्रभु ने कहा, “हे अविश्वासी पीढ़ी! मुझे तुम्हारे साथ कितने समय तक रहना है? मुझे तुम्हारे साथ और कितना सहन करना है? लड़के को मेरे पास लाओ।”
20 इसलिए वे लड़के को लाये। जैसे ही बुरी आत्मा ने प्रभु को देखा, उसने बच्चे को बहुत तेज़ी से हिलाया। लड़का ज़मीन पर गिया गया। वह चारों ओर लोटने लगा और मुँह से झाग निकाला।
21 प्रभु यीशु ने लड़के के पिता से पूछा, “उसके साथ ऐसा कब से हो रहा है?” पिता ने जवाब दिया, “बचपन से।
22 बुरी आत्मा ने उसे मारने के लिए कई बार आग या पानी में फेंका है। लेकिन अगर आप कुछ कर सकते हैं तो हम पर दया करके हमारी मदद करें।”
23 प्रभु ने पूछा, “‘अगर मैं कर सकता हूँ’ से तुम्हारा क्या मतलब है? जो विश्वास करता है उसके लिए सब कुछ मुमकिन है।”
24 उसी समय लड़के का पिता रोकर चिल्लाया, “प्रभु, मैं विश्वास करता हूँ! मुझे अविश्वास से उबरने के लिए मेरी मदद कीजिए!”
25 प्रभु यीशु ने देखा कि भीड़ उनकी तरफ़ दौड़ रही थी। तब उन्होंने बुरी आत्मा को लड़के को छोड़ने की आज्ञा दी, “तू बहरी और गूँगी आत्मा, मैं तुझे आज्ञा देता हूँ कि इस लड़के से बाहर निकल जा और फिर कभी इसमें प्रवेश न करना!”
26 बुरी आत्मा चिल्लाई। उसने लड़के को तेज़ी से हिलाया। फिर बुरी आत्मा उसमें से निकल गयी। लड़का बहुत कमज़ोर और मरा हुआ सा लग रहा था। भीड़ में से कई लोगों ने कहा, “वह मर गया है।”
27 लेकिन प्रभु यीशु ने लड़के का हाथ पकड़कर उसे उठाया। उन्होंने उसे उसके पैरों पर खड़ा किया और लड़का खड़ा हो गया।
28 बाद में प्रभु अपने चेलों के साथ घर पर थे। चेलों ने उनसे अकेले में पूछा, “हम बुरी आत्मा को क्यों नहीं निकाल पाये?”
29 उन्होंने जवाब दिया, “इस तरह की आत्मा सिर्फ़ प्रार्थना और उपवास से ही निकल सकती हैं।”
30 फिर वे उस जगह से निकलकर गलील प्रदेश से होकर गुज़रे। प्रभु यीशु नहीं चाहते थे कि कोई भी जाने कि वे कहाँ हैं।
31 ऐसा इसलिए था क्योंकि प्रभु अपने चेलों को शिक्षा दे रहे थे। उन्होंने अपने चेलों से कहा, “आदमी के बेटे को धोखा दिया जायेगा। लोग उसे मार डालेंगे लेकिन तीन दिन के बाद वह मरे हुओं में से जीवित हो जायेगा।”
32 लेकिन यीशु के चेले उनका मतलब नहीं समझ पाये। और वे प्रभु से इसके बारे में पूछने से डरते थे।
सबसे महत्वपूर्ण व्यक्ति कौन है?
33 प्रभु यीशु और उनके चेले कफरनहूम में एक घर में आये। वहाँ प्रभु ने उनसे पूछा, “तुम सड़क पर किस बारे में बहस कर रहे थे?”
34 लेकिन वे चुप रहे। रास्ते में उन्होंने इस बारे में बहस की थी कि उनमें सबसे बड़ा कौन है।
35 प्रभु बैठे और बारह दूतों को अपने पास बुलाया। प्रभु ने कहा, “अगर कोई पहली जगह लेना चाहता है तो वह आखिरी जगह ले और सब का सेवक बने।”
36 फिर प्रभु ने एक बच्चे को उनके बीच में खड़ा किया। उन्होंने उस बच्चे को गोद में उठाकर अपने चेलों से कहा,
37 “जो कोई मेरे नाम से इन छोटे बच्चों में से किसी एक का स्वागत करता है वह मेरा स्वागत करता है। और जो कोई मेरा स्वागत करता है वह सिर्फ़ मेरा ही नहीं लेकिन मेरे पिता का भी स्वागत करता है जिन्होंने मुझे भेजा है।”
जो कोई हमारे खिलाफ़ नहीं वह हमारे लिए है
38 यूहन्ना ने प्रभु यीशु से कहा, “गुरु जी, हमने एक आदमी को देखा जो बुरी आत्माओं को निकालने के लिए आपके नाम का इस्तेमाल कर रहा था। लेकिन वह हमारे पीछे नहीं चला। और हमने उसे रोकने के लिए कहा क्योंकि वह हम में से एक नहीं है।”
39 प्रभु ने जवाब दिया, “उसे मत रोको! कोई भी जो मेरे नाम से चमत्कार करता है वह उसके अगले पल मेरे बारे में बुरा नहीं बोल सकता।
40 जो कोई हमारे खिलाफ़ नहीं है वह हमारे लिए है।
41 सोचो, अगर कोई मेरे नाम से तुम्हें एक कप पानी देता है क्योंकि तुम मेरे, मसीह के हो। मैं तुम से सच कहता हूँ कि वह व्यक्ति अपना इनाम पाकर रहेगा।”
लोगों को पाप की ओर ले जाना
42 प्रभु यीशु ने आगे कहा, “अगर कोई इन छोटों में से एक को जो मुझ पर विश्वास करता है पाप की ओर ले जाये तो क्या होगा? अगर वह ऐसा करता है तो उसके लिए यह ज़्यादा अच्छा होगा कि उसके गले में चक्की का पत्थर बाँधकर उसे समुद्र में फेंक दिया जाये।”
43 अगर तुम्हारा हाथ तुमसे पाप करवाये तो उसे काट दो। तुम्हारे लिए नरक की अनन्त आग में दो हाथों के साथ जाने से ज़्यादा अच्छा है कि तुम सिर्फ़ एक हाथ के साथ अनन्त जीवन में प्रवेश करो।
44 नरक में कीड़ा कभी नहीं मरता और आग कभी नहीं बुझती।
45 अगर तुम्हारा पैर तुमसे पाप करवाये तो उसे काट दो। तुम्हारे लिए नरक की अनन्त आग में दो पैरों के साथ फेंके जाने से ज़्यादा अच्छा है कि तुम सिर्फ़ एक पैर के साथ अनन्त जीवन में प्रवेश करो।
46 नरक में कीड़ा कभी नहीं मरता और आग कभी नहीं बुझती।
47 और अगर तुम्हारी आँख तुमसे पाप करवाये तो उसे निकाल दो। तुम्हारे लिए नरक की आग में दो आँखों के साथ फेंके जाने से ज़्यादा अच्छा है कि तुम सिर्फ़ एक आँख के साथ अनन्त जीवन में प्रवेश करो।
48 नरक में कीड़ा कभी नहीं मरता और आग कभी नहीं बुझती।
49 हर किसी को आग से शुद्ध किया जायेगा। और हर बलिदान नमक से नमकीन किया जायेगा।
50 नमक अच्छा है। लेकिन अगर यह अपना स्वाद खो दे तो तुम इसे फिर से कैसे नमकीन बना सकते हो? अपने अन्दर नमक के गुण लाओ। और एक दूसरे के साथ शान्ति से रहो।” | 1 The Lord Jesus said, “The truth is that some of you who are standing here will not die before they see the Kingdom of God coming with power.”
Jesus’ Appearance Is Changed
2 After six days the Lord Jesus took Peter, James and John with Him. He led them up a high mountain. No one else was there. There in front of them the Lord Jesus changed His appearance.
3 His clothes became shining and as white as snow. Nobody in the world could bleach them as white as they were.
4 Then the Prophets Elijah and Moses appeared and began talking with the Lord Jesus.
5 Peter said to the Lord, “Teacher, it is so good for us to be here. Let’s make three tents. One will be for You, one for Moses and one for Elijah.”
6 Peter didn’t really know what to say, because Jesus’ followers were terribly afraid.
7 Then a cloud came over them. A voice from the cloud said, “This is My Son, and I love Him. Listen to Him!”
8 Peter, James and John looked around. Suddenly they no longer saw anyone with them except the Lord Jesus.
9 They came down the mountain. On the way down, the Lord ordered them not to tell anyone what they had seen. He told them to wait until He, the Son of Man, came back from the dead.
10 So they kept this word to themselves. But they were asking each other, “What does ‘coming back from the dead’ mean?”
11 Then they asked the Lord Jesus, “Why do the teachers of the Law say that Prophet Elijah must return before Christ comes?”
12 The Lord replied, “That’s right. Prophet Elijah must come first to set everything in order. So why is it written in the Holy Book of God the Creator that I, the Son of Man, must suffer much and be made as nothing?
13 But I tell you, Prophet Elijah has already come. And people have done to him everything they wanted to do. They did it, just as the Holy Book of God the Creator predicted.”
The Lord Jesus Heals a Boy Who Has an Evil Spirit
14 When the Lord Jesus came to His followers, He saw a large crowd around them. And the teachers of the Law of God the Creator were arguing with them.
15 The people saw the Lord and they were greatly amazed. And they ran to greet Him.
16 The Lord asked, “What are you arguing with them about?”
17 One of the men in the crowd answered, “Teacher, I brought my son to You. He is under the control of a mute spirit.
18 When the spirit takes hold of him, it throws him to the ground. He foams at the mouth and grinds his teeth. And his body becomes stiff. I asked Your followers to drive out the spirit. But they couldn’t do it.”
19 The Lord said, “O generation without faith! How long do I have to stay with you? How long do I have to bear with you? Bring the boy to Me.”
20 So they brought the boy. As soon as the evil spirit saw the Lord, it shook the child violently. The boy fell to the ground. He rolled around and foamed at the mouth.
21 The Lord Jesus asked the boy’s father, “How long has this been happening to him?” The father answered, “From childhood.
22 The evil spirit has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if You can do anything, have mercy on us and help us.”
23 The Lord asked, “What do you mean, ‘If I can’? Everything is possible for the one who believes.”
24 Immediately the boy’s father cried out with tears, “Lord, I believe! Help me overcome my unbelief!”
25 The Lord Jesus saw that a crowd was running to Him. Then He ordered the evil spirit to leave the boy, “You deaf and mute spirit, I command you to come out of this child and never enter him again!”
26 The evil spirit screamed. It shook the boy violently. Then the evil spirit came out of him. The boy looked so lifeless and appeared to be dead. Many people in the crowd said, “He is dead.”
27 But the Lord Jesus took the boy by his hand. He lifted him to his feet, and the boy stood up.
28 Later the Lord was in the house with His followers. They asked Him privately, “Why couldn’t we drive out the evil spirit?”
29 He replied, “This kind can come out only by prayer and fasting.”
30 Then they left that place and passed through Galilee region. The Lord Jesus did not want anyone to know where they were.
31 That was because the Lord was teaching His followers. He said to them, “The Son of Man is going to be betrayed. People will kill Him, but three days later He will come back from the dead.”
32 But Jesus’ followers didn’t understand what He meant. And they were afraid to ask Him about it.
Who Is the Most Important Person?
33 The Lord Jesus and His followers came to a house in Capernaum. There He asked them, “What were you arguing about on the road?”
34 But they kept quiet. On the way, they had argued about which of them was the greatest.
35 The Lord sat down and called the Twelve Apostles to Him. He said, “If anyone wants to be the first, he must take last place and be the servant of everyone else.”
36 Then the Lord put a little child among them. He took the child in His arms and said to them,
37 “Anyone who welcomes one of these little children in My name welcomes Me. And anyone who welcomes Me doesn’t welcome only Me, but also the Father who sent Me.”
Anyone Who Is Not Against Us Is for Us
38 John said to the Lord Jesus, “Teacher, we saw a man who was using Your name to drive out evil spirits. But he did not follow us. And we told him to stop, because he is not one of our group.”
39 The Lord replied, “Don’t stop him! No one who does miracles in My name can speak evil of Me in the next moment.
40 Anyone who is not against us is for us.
41 Suppose someone gives you a cup of water in My name, because you belong to Me, the Christ. I tell you the truth, that person will certainly not lose his reward.”
Leading People to Sin
42 The Lord Jesus continued, “What if someone leads one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin? If he does, it would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a large grinding stone tied around his neck.
43 If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life with only one hand than to go into the endless fire of hell with two hands.
44 In hell the worm never dies, and the fire never goes out.
45 If your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life with only one foot than to be thrown into the endless fire of hell with two feet.
46 In hell the worm never dies, and the fire never goes out.
47 And if your eye causes you to sin, take it out. It is better for you to enter the Kingdom of God with only one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell.
48 In hell the worm never dies, and the fire never goes out.
49 Everyone will be purified with fire. And every sacrifice will be salted with salt.
50 Salt is good. But if it loses its saltiness, how can you make it salty again? Have the qualities of salt in yourselves. And live in peace with each other.” |

प्रभु यीशु का तलाक के बारे में बोलना
1 प्रभु यीशु उस जगह से निकलकर यरदन नदी के पार यहूदिया प्रदेश में चले गये। फिर से लोगों की भीड़ उनके पास आयी। हर बार की तरह प्रभु ने उन्हें शिक्षा दी।
2 कुछ फरीसियों ने आकर प्रभु को इस सवाल से फँसाने की कोशिश की, “क्या कानून आदमी को अपनी पत्नी को तलाक देने की अनुमति देता है?”
3 प्रभु यीशु ने जवाब दिया, “प्रभु का संदेश लाने वाले मूसा ने तुम्हें क्या आज्ञा दी थी?”
4 फरीसियों ने कहा, “मूसा ने आदमी को तलाक पत्र लिखकर अपनी पत्नी को निकालने की आज्ञा दी थी।”
5 प्रभु यीशु ने जवाब दिया, “उसने वे आदेश सिर्फ़ तुम्हारे कठोर दिलों के कारण लिखे।
6 सृष्टि के परमेश्वर की पवित्र किताब कहती है कि शुरुआत में परमेश्वर ने सब कुछ बनाया। उन्होंने आदमी और औरत को बनाया।
7 इस कारण आदमी अपने माता-पिता को छोड़ेगा। और वह अपनी पत्नि के साथ एक होगा।
8 पति और पत्नि एक शरीर बनेंगे। इसलिए अब वे दो नहीं लेकिन एक शरीर हैं।
9 इसलिए जिसे परमेश्वर ने जोड़ा है उसे मनुष्य अलग न करे।”
10 बाद में जब प्रभु यीशु अपने चेलों के साथ घर पर थे तब चेलों ने प्रभु से इसके बारे में फिर से पूछा।
11 उन्होंने जवाब दिया, “अगर एक आदमी अपनी पत्नि को तलाक देकर किसी दूसरी औरत से शादी कर ले तो क्या होता है? वह उसके खिलाफ़ व्यभिचार करता है।
12 और अगर एक औरत अपने पति को तलाक देकर किसी दूसरे आदमी से शादी कर ले तो क्या होता है? वह व्यभिचार करती है।
लोगों का छोटे बच्चों को प्रभु यीशु के पास लाना
13 लोग छोटे बच्चों को प्रभु यीशु के पास ला रहे थे। वे चाहते थे कि प्रभु उनके बच्चों को छुएं। लेकिन यीशु के चेलों ने लोगों को रोका।
14 जब प्रभु ने यह देखा तो वे गुस्सा हो गये। उन्होंने अपने चेलों से कहा, “बच्चों को मेरे पास आने दो। उन्हें मत रोको क्योंकि परमेश्वर का राज्य इन्ही जैसे लोगों का है।
15 सच यह है कि आदमी को परमेश्वर का राज्य छोटे बच्चे की तरह स्वीकार करना चाहिए। नहीं तो वह उसमें कभी प्रवेश नहीं करेगा।”
16 तब प्रभु ने बच्चों को अपनी गोद में लिया। उन्होंने अपने हाथ बच्चों के ऊपर रखकर उन्हें आशीष दी।
प्रभु यीशु और एक अमीर जवान आदमी
17 प्रभु यीशु अपनी यात्रा पर निकल गये। एक आदमी दौड़कर उनके पास आया और घुटनों पर बैठकर पूछा, “अच्छे गुरु जी, अनन्त जीवन पाने के लिए मुझे क्या करना होगा?”
18 प्रभु ने उसे जवाब दिया, “तुम मुझे अच्छा क्यों कहते हो? परमेश्वर के अलावा कोई भी अच्छा नहीं है।”
19 तुम जानते हो कि सृष्टि के परमेश्वर का कानून क्या कहता है: हत्या मत करो। व्यभिचार मत करो। चोरी मत करो। झूठ मत बोलो। धोखा मत दो। अपने माता-पिता को सम्मान दो।”
20 उस आदमी ने जवाब दिया, “गुरु जी, मैंने बचपन से ही परमेश्वर के इन सब कानूनों का पालन किया है।”
21 जब प्रभु ने उस आदमी को देखा तो उन्हें उस पर बहुत प्यार आया। उन्होंने कहा, “तुम में सिर्फ़ एक बात की कमी है। जाओ और जो कुछ तुम्हारे पास है सब बेच दो। गरीबों को पैसे दो और तुम्हें स्वर्ग में खज़ाना मिलेगा। तब आओ और क्रूस उठाकर मेरे पीछे चलो।”
22 जब उस आदमी ने प्रभु की बात सुनी तो उसका चेहरा उतर गया। वह दुखी होकर चला गया क्योंकि वह बहुत अमीर था।
23 प्रभु यीशु ने चारों ओर देखकर अपने चेलों से कहा, “अमीर लोगों के लिए परमेश्वर के राज्य में प्रवेश करना कितना मुश्किल है!”
24 यीशु के चेले उनकी बात सुनकर हैरान हो गये। लेकिन प्रभु ने फिर से कहा, “बच्चों, जो आपना विश्वास पैसों पर रखते हैं उनके लिए परमेश्वर के राज्य में प्रवेश करना कितना मुश्किल है!”
25 एक ऊँट का सुई की आँख में से निकलना एक अमीर आदमी के परमेश्वर के राज्य में प्रवेश करने से ज़्यादा आसान है!”
26 यीशु के चेले और ज़्यादा हैरान हो गये। उन्होंने एक दूसरे से कहा, “फिर कौन बचाया जा सकता है?”
27 प्रभु यीशु ने उन्हें देखकर कहा, “आदमी के साथ यह नामुमकिन है लेकिन परमेश्वर के साथ नहीं। परमेश्वर के साथ सब कुछ मुमकिन है।”
28 तब पतरस ने प्रभु यीशु से कहा, “हमने आपके पीछे चलने के लिए सब कुछ छोड़ दिया!”
29 प्रभु ने जवाब दिया, “जो मैं तुम्हें बताने वाला हूँ वह सच है। एक ऐसे आदमी के बारे में सोचो जिसने इनमें से कुछ भी घर, भाई, बहनें, पिता, माता, पत्नि, बच्चे या ज़मीन छोड़ दी। उसने ऐसा बलिदान मेरे और पापों से माफ़ी के बारे में मेरे संदेश के लिए किया।
30 उस आदमी ने जो कुछ छोड़ दिया वह उसके बदले में अपने जीवन काल में 100 गुना ज़्यादा पायेगा। उसके पास इस दुनियाँ में घर, भाई, बहनें, माता, बच्चे और ज़मीन होगी। लेकिन उसे तैयार रहना चाहिए कि अविश्वासी लोग मुझ पर उसके विश्वास के कारण उसे बहुत सताएंगे। अन्त में आने वाली दुनियाँ में वह अनन्त जीवन पायेगा।
31 लेकिन बहुत से लोग जो पहले हैं वे आखिरी होंगे। और जो आखिरी हैं वे पहले होंगे।”
प्रभु यीशु का फिर से अपनी आने वाली मौत के बारे में बताना
32 यरूशलेम जाते हुए रास्ते में प्रभु यीशु अपने चेलों के आगे चल रहे थे। यीशु के चेले और पीछे चलने वाले लोग बहुत डरे हुए थे। प्रभु यीशु फिर से बारह दूतों को अलग ले गये। उन्होंने चेलों को बताया कि उनके साथ क्या होने वाला था।
33 उन्होंने कहा, “हम यरूशलेम जा रहे हैं। मुझे, आदमी के बेटे को वहाँ धोखा दिया जायेगा। मुझे मुख्य पुरोहितों और कानून के शिक्षकों के हवाले कर दिया जायेगा। वे मुझे मौत की सज़ा देंगे। फिर वे मुझे उन लोगों के हवाले कर देंगे जो यहूदी नहीं हैं।
34 लोग मेरा मज़ाक बनायेंगे और मुझ पर थूकेंगे। वे मुझे मारेंगे और मेरी हत्या कर देंगे। लेकिन तीन दिन के बाद मैं मरे हुओं में से जीवित हो जाऊँगा!”
याकूब और यूहन्ना का प्रभु यीशु से माँगना
35 याकूब और यूहन्ना प्रभु यीशु के पास आये। वे जब्दी के बेटे थे। उन्होंने कहा, “गुरु जी, हम चाहेंगे कि हम आप से जो माँगें आप हमारे लिए वही करें।”
36 प्रभु ने पूछा, “तुम क्या चाहते हो कि मैं तुम्हारे लिए करूँ?”
37 उन्होंने जवाब दिया, “अपनी महिमा में हम में से एक को अपनी दाईं और दूसरे को बाईं ओर बैठने दें।”
38 लेकिन प्रभु यीशु ने जवाब दिया, “तुम नहीं जानते कि तुम क्या माँग रहे हो! क्या तुम उस दुख के प्याले को पी सकते हो जो मुझे पीना है? क्या तुम उस दुख से स्नान कर सकते हो जिससे मुझे करना है?”
39 उन्होंने जवाब दिया, “हम कर सकते हैं।” प्रभु ने उनसे कहा, “तुम उस प्याले से पियोगे जिससे मैं पीता हूँ। और तुम वह स्नान लोगे जो मैं लेता हूँ।
40 लेकिन मुझे यह कहने का कोई अधिकार नहीं है कि मेरी दाईं या बाईं ओर कौन बैठेगा। सृष्टि के परमेश्वर ने ऐसा सम्मान उनके लिए तैयार किया है जिन्हें उन्होंने चुना है।”
41 दूसरे दस दूतों ने याकूब और यूहन्ना की माँग के बारे में सुना। वे याकूब और यूहन्ना पर गुस्सा हुए।
42 प्रभु यीशु ने अपने चेलों को एक साथ बुलाकर कहा, “तुम उनके बारे में जानते हो जो राष्ट्रों के राजा हैं। वे अपने लोगों के ऊपर अधिकार रखते हैं। और उनके बड़े अधिकारियों को अपने से छोटों पर अधिकार है।
43 लेकिन तुम उनकी तरह मत बनो। इसके बजाय तुममें से जो कोई महत्वपूर्ण बनना चाहता है वह तुम्हारा सेवक बने।
44 और जो कोई पहला बनना चाहता है वह सबका गुलाम बने।
45 मैं, आदमी का बेटा भी खुद की सेवा करवाने के लिए नहीं आया। बल्कि मैं दूसरों की सेवा करने और बहुत से लोगों की आज़ादी के लिए अपने जीवन का बलिदान देने आया।
अन्धे बरतिमाई का आँखों की रोशनी पाना
46 प्रभु यीशु और उनके चेले यरीहो आये। जब वे शहर से जा रहे थे तो एक बड़ी भीड़ उनके साथ थी। एक अन्धा भिखारी सड़क के किनारे बैठा हुआ था। उसका नाम बरतिमाई था। बरतिमाई का मतलब है तिमाई का बेटा।
47 उसने सुना कि नासरत के यीशु वहाँ से गुज़र रहे थे। इसलिए वह चिल्लाने लगा, “प्रभु यीशु! दाऊद के बेटे! मुझ पर दया करो!”
48 बहुत से लोगों ने उसे रोकने की कोशिश की, “चुप रहो!” लेकिन वह और ज़ोर से चिल्लाया, “दाऊद के बेटे! मुझ पर दया करो!”
49 प्रभु यीशु ने रुककर कहा, “उसे बुलाओ।” इसलिए लोगों ने अन्धे आदमी को बुलाया, “खुश हो जाओ! खड़े उठो, प्रभु तुम्हें बुला रहे हैं!”
50 बरतिमाई ने अपना कोट एक तरफ़ फेंका और जल्दी से उठकर प्रभु के पास आया।
51 प्रभु ने उससे पूछा, “तुम क्या चाहते हो कि मैं तुम्हारे लिए करूँ?” अन्धे आदमी ने कहा, “गुरु जी, मैं देखना चाहता हूँ।”
52 प्रभु ने कहा, “जाओ। तुम्हारे विश्वास ने तुम्हें बचा लिया है।” उसी समय अन्धा आदमी देखने लगा! फिर वह सड़क पर प्रभु यीशु के पीछे चला। | The Lord Jesus Speaks About Divorce
1 The Lord Jesus left that place and went to Judea region across the Jordan River. Again crowds of people came to Him. And as usual, He taught them.
2 Some Pharisees came and tried to trap the Lord with this question, “Does the Law allow a man to divorce his wife?”
3 The Lord Jesus replied, “What did Prophet Moses command you?”
4 The Pharisees said, “Moses allowed a man to write his wife an official letter of divorce and then send her away.”
5 The Lord Jesus replied, “He wrote those instructions only because of your hard hearts.
6 The Holy Book of God the Creator says that at the beginning God created everything. He made man and woman.
7 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother. And he will be united to his wife.
8 Husband and wife become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one flesh.
9 So a man must not separate what God has joined together.”
10 Later, when the Lord Jesus was with His followers in the house, they asked the Lord about this again.
11 He answered, “What if a man divorces his wife and gets married to another woman? He commits adultery against her.
12 And what if a woman divorces her husband and gets married to another man? She commits adultery.”
People Bring Little Children to the Lord Jesus
13 People were bringing little children to the Lord Jesus. They wanted Him to touch their children. But Jesus’ followers stopped the people.
14 When the Lord saw this, He was angry. He said to His followers, “Let the children come to Me. Don’t stop them, because the Kingdom of God belongs to people like them.
15 The truth is a man should receive the Kingdom of God like a little child. Otherwise he will never enter it.”
16 Then the Lord took the children in His arms. He put His hands on them and blessed them.
The Lord Jesus and the Rich Young Man
17 The Lord Jesus started on His way. A man ran up to Him, knelt down, and asked, “Good Teacher, what must I do to get everlasting life?”
18 The Lord answered him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God.”
19 You know what the Law of God the Creator says: Do not murder. Do not commit adultery. Do not steal. Do not lie. Do not cheat. Honor your father and mother.”
20 The man replied, “Teacher, I have obeyed all those God’s Laws since I was a boy.”
21 The Lord felt deep love for this man when He looked at him. He said, “You are missing only one thing. Go and sell all you have. Give the money to the poor, and you will have riches in heaven. Then come, take up the cross and follow Me.”
22 When the man heard what the Lord said, his face fell. He went away sad, because he was very rich.
23 The Lord Jesus looked around and said to His followers, “How hard it is for rich people to enter the Kingdom of God!”
24 Jesus’ followers were amazed at His words. But the Lord said again, “Children, how hard it is to come into the Kingdom of God for those who put their faith in riches!
25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!”
26 Jesus’ followers were even more amazed. They said to each other, “Then who can be saved?”
27 The Lord Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God. Everything is possible with God.”
28 Then Peter said to the Lord Jesus, “We have left everything to follow You!”
29 The Lord replied, “What I am about to tell you is true. Think about a man who has left any of these: house, brothers, sisters, father, mother, wife, children or land. He made such a sacrifice because of Me and My message about forgiveness of sins.
30 During his life this man will receive in return 100 times more of what he has left behind. He will have houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and land in this world. But he should be ready that unbelievers will give him serious troubles because of his faith in Me. Finally he will have everlasting life in the coming world.
31 But many who are first will be last. And the last will be first.”
The Lord Jesus Again Tells About His Coming Death
32 The Lord Jesus was walking ahead of His followers when they were on their way to Jerusalem. Jesus’ followers were very afraid, and the people following behind were filled with fear. Again the Lord Jesus took the Twelve Apostles aside. He told them what was going to happen to Him.
33 He said, “We are going up to Jerusalem. I, the Son of Man, will be betrayed there. I will be handed over to the chief priests and the teachers of the Law. They will sentence Me to death. Then they will hand Me over to people who are not Jews.
34 The people will make fun of Me and spit on Me. They will beat Me and kill Me. But after three days I will come back from the dead!”
James and John Ask the Lord Jesus
35 James and John came to the Lord Jesus. They were the sons of Zebedee. They said, “Teacher, we would like You to do for us what we ask.”
36 The Lord asked, “What do you want Me to do for you?”
37 They replied, “Let one of us sit at Your right and the other at Your left hand in Your glory.”
38 But the Lord Jesus answered, “You don’t know what you are asking! Are you able to drink the cup of suffering I must drink? Are you able to take the bath of suffering I must take?”
39 They answered, “We are able.” The Lord said to them, “You will drink the cup I drink. And you will take the bath I take.
40 But I have no right to say who will sit at My right or left hand. God the Creator has prepared such an honor for the ones He has chosen.”
41 The other ten Apostles heard about what James and John had asked. They became angry at James and John.
42 The Lord Jesus called His followers together and said, “You know about those who are rulers of the nations. They hold power over their people. And their high officials have authority over people beneath them.
43 But you don’t be like that. Instead, anyone who wants to be important among you must be your servant.
44 And anyone who wants to be first must be the slave of everyone.
45 Even I, the Son of Man, didn’t come to be served. Instead, I came to serve others and give My life as the sacrifice for setting many people free.”
Blind Bartimaeus Receives His Sight
46 The Lord Jesus and His followers came to Jericho. When they were leaving the city, a large crowd was with them. A blind beggar was sitting by the side of the road. His name was Bartimaeus. Bartimaeus means the son of Timaeus.
47 He heard that Jesus from Nazareth was passing by. So he began to shout, “Lord Jesus! Son of David! Have mercy on me!”
48 Many people tried to stop him, “Be quiet!” But he shouted even louder, “Son of David! Have mercy on me!”
49 The Lord Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called the blind man, “Cheer up! Get up, the Lord is calling you!”
50 Bartimaeus threw aside his coat, got up quickly, and came to the Lord.
51 The Lord asked him, “What do you want Me to do for you?” The blind man said, “Teacher, I want to see.”
52 The Lord said, “Go. Your faith has saved you.” Immediately the blind man could see! Then he followed the Lord Jesus on the road. |

प्रभु यीशु का यरूशलेम में प्रवेश करना
1 प्रभु यीशु और उनके चेले यरूशलेम के नज़दीक पहुँचे। वे जैतून पर्वत पर बैतफगे और बैतनिय्याह के शहर में आये। तब प्रभु ने अपने दो चेलों को भेजा।
2 प्रभु ने उनसे कहा, “आगे के गाँव में जाओ। जैसे ही तुम वहाँ प्रवेश करोगे तुम्हें एक गधे का बच्चा बँधा हुआ मिलेगा। उस पर अभी तक कोई भी सवार नहीं हुआ है। उसे खोलकर यहाँ ले आओ।
3 अगर कोई पूछे कि तुम क्या कर रहे हो, तो कहना, ‘प्रभु को गधे की ज़रूरत है, और वे इसे जल्दी ही वापस कर देंगे।’
4 दो चेले गये और उन्होंने गधे के बच्चे को बाहर सड़क पर पाया। वह एक द्वार पर बँधा हुआ था। उन्होंने उसे खोला।
5 वहाँ पर खड़े कुछ लोगों ने उनसे पूछा, “तुम क्या कर रहे हो? तुम उस गधे को क्यों खोल रहे हो?”
6 यीशु के चेलों ने उनसे वही कहा जो प्रभु ने उनसे कहने को कहा था। इसलिए लोगों ने उन्हें जाने दिया।
7 दो चेले गधे को प्रभु के पास लाये। फिर उन्होंने अपने कपड़े गधे के ऊपर डाले और प्रभु उस पर बैठ गये।
8 भीड़ में से कई लोगों ने अपने कपड़े प्रभु यीशु के आगे सड़क पर बिछाये। दूसरे लोगों ने पेड़ की शाखाओं को काटकर सड़क पर बिछाया।
9 प्रभु यीशु बीच में थे और उनके चारों ओर के लोग चिल्ला रहे थे, “परमेश्वर की प्रशंसा हो! जो प्रभु के नाम से आते हैं वे आशीषित हैं!
10 हमारे पिता दाऊद का आने वाला राज्य आशीषित है! सबसे ऊँचे स्वर्ग में परमेश्वर की प्रशंसा हो!”
11 प्रभु यीशु यरूशलेम में प्रवेश करके सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के मन्दिर में गये। प्रभु ने चारों ओर सब कुछ देखा। लेकिन शाम हो चुकी थी। इसलिए वे अपने बारह चेलों के साथ बैतनिय्याह को चले गये।
प्रभु यीशु का सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के मन्दिर में आना
12 दूसरी सुबह जब वे बैतनिय्याह से जा रहे थे तो प्रभु यीशु को भूख लगी।
13 प्रभु ने दूर से एक अंजीर का पेड़ देखा। वह पत्तों से भरा हुआ था। वे उस पर फल ढूँढ़ने के लिए गये। जब प्रभु उसके पास आये तो उन्हें पत्तों के सिवाय कुछ नहीं मिला। यह फल का मौसम नहीं था।
14 तब प्रभु ने पेड़ से कहा, “तुझ में से अब कोई भी फल न खाये!” और उनके चेलों ने यह सुना।
15 प्रभु यीशु और उनके चेले यरूशलेम में वापस आये। प्रभु ने सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के मन्दिर में प्रवेश किया। प्रभु उन लोगों को वहाँ से निकालने लगे जो सामान खरीद और बेच रहे थे। उन्होंने पैसों की अदला-बदली करने वालों की टेबल को पलट दिया। उन्होंने उन लोगों के बेंच को भी पलट दिया जो कबूतर बेच रहे थे।
16 और प्रभु ने किसी को भी मन्दिर में सामान बेचने के लिए नहीं ले जाने दिया।
17 प्रभु ने उन्हें सिखाया, “सृष्टि के परमेश्वर ने अपना संदेश लाने वाले यशायाह द्वारा अपनी किताब में यह लिखा था, ‘मेरा घर सभी राष्ट्रों के लिए प्रार्थना का घर कहलायेगा।’ लेकिन तुमने मेरे घर को ‘चोरों का घर’ बना दिया है, जैसे प्रभु का संदेश लाने वाले यिर्मयाह ने भविष्यवाणी की थी।”
18 मुख्य पुरोहितों और कानून के शिक्षकों ने इस बारे में सुना। वे प्रभु यीशु को मारने की योजना बनाने लगे। वे प्रभु से डरते थे क्योंकि सभी लोग उनकी शिक्षाओं से हैरान थे।
19 जब शाम हुई तो प्रभु यीशु उस शहर से चले गये।
अंजीर के पेड़ का सूखना
20 अगली सुबह जब प्रभु और उनके चेले जा रहे थे तब उन्होंने देखा कि अंजीर का पेड़ जड़ तक सूख गया था।
21 पतरस को जो प्रभु ने कल किया था याद आया। उसने कहा, “गुरु जी, देखिए! जिस पेड़ को आपने श्राप दिया था वह सूख चुका है!”
22 तब प्रभु यीशु ने अपने चेलों से कहा, “परमेश्वर के जैसा विश्वास रखो।
23 अभी जो मैं तुम्हें बताने वाला हूँ वह सच है। अगर कोई इस पहाड़ से कहे, ‘जा और खुद को समुद्र में गिरा दे।’ उसे अपने दिल में शक नहीं करना है। लेकिन विश्वास करना है कि जो वह कहता है हो जायेगा। तब वह जो कुछ कहता है वह उसके पास होगा।
24 इसलिए मैं तुम से कहता हूँ जो कुछ तुम प्रार्थना में माँगते हो विश्वास करो कि वह तुम्हें मिल गया है और वह तुम्हारा होगा।
25 और जब तुम प्रार्थना करते हो तब अगर तुम्हारे दिल में किसी के खिलाफ़ कुछ है तो तुम उसे माफ़ कर दो। ताकि तुम्हारे स्वर्गीय पिता तुम्हारे पाप माफ़ कर दें।
26 लेकिन अगर तुम माफ़ नहीं करते तो तुम्हारे स्वर्गीय पिता भी तुम्हारे पाप माफ़ नही करेंगे।”
प्रभु यीशु के अधिकार के बारे में सवाल
27 प्रभु यीशु और उनके चेले फिर से यरूशलेम में पहुँचे। प्रभु सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के मन्दिर में टहल रहे थे। मुख्य पुरोहित, कानून के शिक्षक और बुज़ुर्ग लोग उनके पास आये।
28 उन्होंने पूछा, “तुम यह सब किस अधिकार से कर रहे हो? और तुम्हें ऐसा करने का अधिकार किसने दिया?”
29 प्रभु ने जवाब दिया, “मैं तुम से एक सवाल पूछूँगा। मुझे जवाब दो, और मैं तुम्हें बताऊँगा कि मैं यह सब किस अधिकार से कर रहा हूँ।
30 क्या यूहन्ना को परमेश्वर ने भेजा था कि वह लोगों को सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के नाम से पवित्र स्नान दे? क्या यह स्वर्ग से था या लोगों से? मुझे बताओ!”
31 उन्होंने इस बारे में एक-दूसरे से बात की, “अगर हम कहें, ‘परमेश्वर ने यूहन्ना को भेजा’ तो यीशु पूछेगा, ‘फिर तुमने यूहन्ना पर विश्वास क्यों नहीं किया?”
32 और हम यह नहीं कह सकते, ‘यह लोगों से था,’ क्योंकि हर कोई विश्वास करता है कि यूहन्ना सच में प्रभु का संदेश लाने वाला था।” वे लोगों से डरते थे।
33 इसलिए उन्होंने जवाब दिया, “हम नहीं जानते।” प्रभु ने कहा, “फिर मैं भी तुम्हें नहीं बताऊँगा कि मैं यह सब किस अधिकार से करता हूँ।” | The Lord Jesus Enters Jerusalem
1 The Lord Jesus and His followers arrived near to Jerusalem. They came to the towns of Bethphage and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives. Then the Lord sent two of His followers.
2 He said to them, “Go to the village ahead of you. As soon as you enter it, you will find a young donkey tied there. No one has ever ridden it. Untie it and bring it here.
3 If anyone asks what you are doing, just say, ‘The Lord needs the donkey, and He will return it soon.’
4 The two followers went and found a young donkey out in the street. It was tied at the gate. They untied it.
5 Some people standing there asked them, “What are you doing? Why are you untying that donkey?”
6 Jesus’ followers said what the Lord had told them to say. So the people let them go.
7 The two followers brought the donkey to the Lord. Then they threw their clothes over the donkey, and the Lord sat on it.
8 Many people in the crowd spread their clothes on the road ahead of the Lord Jesus. Others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road.
9 The Lord was in the center, and the crowd around Him was shouting, “Praise God! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!
10 Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! Praise God in highest heaven!”
11 The Lord Jesus entered Jerusalem and went to the Temple of God the Creator. The Lord looked around at everything. But it was already evening. So He went out to Bethany with His Twelve Apostles.
The Lord Jesus Comes to the Temple of God the Creator
12 The next morning when they were leaving Bethany, the Lord Jesus felt hungry.
13 The Lord saw a fig tree in the distance. It was covered with leaves. He went to find out if it had any fruit. When the Lord came to it, He found nothing but leaves. It was not the time for the fruit yet.
14 Then the Lord said to the tree, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again!” And His followers heard it.
15 The Lord Jesus and His followers came back to Jerusalem. The Lord entered the Temple of God the Creator. He began chasing out those who were buying and selling there. He turned over the tables of the people who were exchanging money. He also turned over the benches of those who were selling doves.
16 And the Lord did not allow anyone to carry anything for sale through the Temple.
17 He taught them, “God the Creator wrote in His Book through Prophet Isaiah, ‘My House will be called a House of Prayer for all nations.’ But you have made My House a ‘house of thieves,’ as Prophet Jeremiah predicted.”
18 The chief priests and the teachers of the Law heard about this. They began planning how to kill the Lord. They were afraid of Him, because all the people were amazed at His teaching.
19 When evening came, the Lord Jesus left the city.
The Fig Tree Dried Up
20 The next morning when the Lord and His followers were passing by, they saw the fig tree dried up all the way down to the roots.
21 Peter remembered what the Lord did yesterday. He said, “Teacher, look! The tree which You cursed is dried up!”
22 Then the Lord said to His followers, “Have God’s kind of faith.
23 What I’m about to tell you is true. Suppose anyone says to this mountain, 'Go and throw yourself into the sea.' He must not doubt in his heart, but believe that what he says will happen. Then he will have whatever he says.
24 So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
25 And when you pray, if you have anything against anyone, you must forgive. So that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins.
26 But if you do not forgive, then your Heavenly Father will not forgive your sins either.”
Questions about the Authority of the Lord Jesus
27 The Lord Jesus and His followers arrived in Jerusalem again. The Lord was walking in the Temple of God the Creator. The chief priests, the teachers of the Law and the elders came to Him.
28 They asked, “By what authority are You doing these things? And who gave You authority to do this?”
29 The Lord replied, “I will ask you one question. Answer Me, and I will tell you by what authority I am doing these things.
30 Did God send John to give people the Holy Bath in the name of God the Creator? Was it from heaven or from men? Tell me!”
31 They talked to each other about it, “If we say, ‘God sent John,’ Jesus will ask, ‘Then why didn't you believe John?’
32 And we can’t say, ‘It was from men,’ because everyone believes that John really was a Prophet.” They were afraid of the people.
33 So they answered, “We don't know.” The Lord said, “Then I will not tell you either by what authority I do these things.” |
अध्याय 12 | Chapter 12 |
किरायेदारों की कहानी
1 प्रभु यीशु लोगों को कहानी सुनाने लगे। उन्होंने कहा, “एक आदमी ने अंगूर का बगीचा लगाया। उसने उसके चारों ओर दीवार बनायी। उसने अंगूर का रस निकालने के लिए एक गड्ढा बनाया। उसने एक मीनार भी बनायी। फिर उसने अंगूर का बगीचा कुछ किसानों को किराये पर दे दिया। और वह यात्रा पर चला गया।”
2 फ़सल के समय मालिक ने एक नौकर को किरायेदारों के पास भेजा। उसने नौकर को अंगूर के बगीचे से उनके लिए कुछ फल लाने को कहा।
3 लेकिन किरायेदारों ने नौकर को पकड़कर पीट दिया। फिर उन्होंने उसे खाली हाथ भेज दिया।
4 इसलिए मालिक ने दूसरे नौकर को किरायेदारों के पास भेजा। लेकिन उन्होंने पत्थर से उसके सिर पर मारा और उसके साथ शर्मनाक व्यवहार किया।
5 तब मालिक ने दूसरे नौकर को भेजा। लेकिन किरायेदारों ने उसे भी मार डाला। मालिक ने बहुत से दूसरे नौकरों को भेजा। लेकिन उनमें से कुछ को किरायेदारों ने पीट दिया और दूसरों को मार डाला।
6 अब मालिक के पास भेजने के लिए एक ही आदमी बचा था। वह उसका बेटा था और वह उससे प्यार करता था। उसने उसे सबसे अन्त में भेजा। उसने कहा, ‘वे मेरे बेटे का आदर करेंगे।’
7 लेकिन किरायेदारों ने एक दूसरे से कहा, ‘यह वही है जो मालिक की सारी जायदाद का वारिस बनेगा।’ इसे मार देते हैं फिर सब कुछ हमारा हो जायेगा।
8 इसलिए उन्होंने उसे पकड़कर मार डाला। फिर उन्होंने उसे अंगूर के बगीचे के बाहर फेंक दिया।
9 अंगूर के बगीचे का मालिक क्या करेगा? वह आकर उन सब किरायेदारों को मार देगा। और वह अंगूर का बगीचा दूसरे लोगों को दे देगा।
10 क्या तुमने सृष्टि के परमेश्वर की पवित्र किताब में यह कभी नहीं पढ़ा? ‘जिस पत्थर को मिस्त्रियों ने ठुकरा दिया वह मकान की नीव का सबसे महत्वपूर्ण पत्थर बना।
11 यह प्रभु ने किया है। यह देखने में बहुत हैरान करने वाला है!’
12 तब धार्मिक नेता प्रभु यीशु को पकड़ने का रास्ता ढूँढ़ने लगे। वे जानते थे कि प्रभु ने यह कहानी उनके खिलाफ़ सुनायी थी। लेकिन वे भीड़ से डर गये। इसलिए वे प्रभु को छोड़कर चले गये।
क्या सरकार को टैक्स देना ठीक है?
13 बाद में धार्मिक नेताओं ने कुछ फरीसियों और राजा हेरोदेस के सहायकों को प्रभु यीशु के पास भेजा। वे प्रभु को उन्हीं के शब्दों में फँसाना चाहते थे।
14 उन्होंने प्रभु के पास आकर कहा, “गुरु जी, हम जानते हैं कि आप कितने इमानदार हैं। आप दूसरों को यह नहीं बोलने देते कि आपको क्या करना या कहना है। आप लोगों के पद पर ध्यान नहीं देते। लेकिन आप सच्चाई से परमेश्वर के रास्ते के बारे में शिक्षा देते हैं। क्या सरकार को टैक्स देना ठीक है या नहीं?
15 क्या हमें यह देना चाहिए या नहीं?” लेकिन प्रभु यीशु जानते थे कि वे पाखण्डी थे। प्रभु उनके झूठे दिल देख सकते थे। इसलिए प्रभु यीशु ने पूछा, “तुम मुझे फँसाने की कोशिश क्यों कर रहे हो? एक चाँदी का सिक्का मेरे पास लाओ। मुझे उसे देखने दो।”
16 वे सिक्का लाये। फिर प्रभु ने उनसे पूछा, “इस सिक्के पर किसकी तसवीर और किसके शब्द हैं?” उन्होंने जवाब दिया, “यह सरकार के मुखिया, कैसर की तसवीर है।”
17 तब प्रभु ने उनसे कहा, “जो सरकार का है उसे सरकार को दो। और जो परमेश्वर का है उसे परमेश्वर को दो। यीशु के जवाब ने उन्हें पूरी तरह से हैरान कर दिया।”
क्या मरे हुए लोग शादी करेंगे?
18 यहूदियों का एक समूह सदूकी कहलाता था। वे विश्वास नहीं करते थे कि मरे हुए लोग फिर से जीवित होंगे। उन्होंने प्रभु यीशु के पास आकर उनसे पूछा,
19 “गुरु जी, प्रभु का संदेश लाने वाले मूसा ने हमें एक कानून दिया था। अगर एक आदमी अपनी पत्नि को बच्चे दिये बिना मर जाता है तो उस आदमी के भाई को उसकी विधवा से शादी करनी चाहिए। उसे अपने मरे हुए भाई का वंश चलाने के लिए बच्चा पैदा करना होगा।
20 एक परिवार में सात भाई थे। पहले की शादी हो गई। वह किसी बच्चे को जन्म दिए बिना ही मर गया।
21 दूसरे भाई ने अपने भाई की विधवा से शादी कर ली। वह भी किसी बच्चे को जन्म दिए बिना मर गया। तीसरे भाई के साथ भी ऐसा ही हुआ।
22 इस तरह सातों भाइयों में से किसी का कोई बच्चा नहीं हुआ। अन्त में वह औरत भी मर गयी।
23 अब हमें बताइए जब मरे हुए फिर से जीवित होंगे तब वह किसकी पत्नि होगी? सातों ने उससे शादी की थी।”
24 प्रभु ने जवाब दिया, “तुम्हारी गलती यह है कि तुम नहीं जानते कि सृष्टि के परमेश्वर की पवित्र किताब में क्या लिखा है। और तुम परमेश्वर की शक्ति को नहीं जानते।
25 जब मरे हुए फिर से जीवित होंगे तब वे शादी नहीं करेंगे। और उनके माता-पिता उनकी शादी नहीं करवायेंगे। वे स्वर्ग में दूतों की तरह होंगे।
26 क्या तुमने सृष्टि के परमेश्वर की पवित्र किताब में मरे हुओं के जीवित होने के बारे में नहीं पढ़ा? उस में प्रभु का संदेश लाने वाले मूसा और जलती हुई झाड़ी के बारे में यह लिखा है। सृष्टि के परमेश्वर ने मूसा से कहा, ‘मैं इब्राहीम का परमेश्वर, इसहाक का परमेश्वर और याकूब का परमेश्वर हूँ।’
27 वे मरे हुओं के परमेश्वर नहीं हैं। वे जीवितों के परमेश्वर हैं। तुम बहुत बड़ी गलतफ़हमी में हो!”
सबसे महत्वपूर्ण कानून
28 सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के कानून का एक शिक्षक आया। उसने सदूकियों को प्रभु यीशु से बहस करते हुए सुना। उसने ध्यान दिया कि प्रभु ने सदूकियों को अच्छा जवाब दिया। इसलिए उसने प्रभु से पूछा, “सृष्टि के परमेश्वर ने हमें प्रभु का संदेश लाने वाले मूसा द्वारा कई कानून दिये। उनमें से सबसे महत्वपूर्ण कौन सा है?”
29 प्रभु यीशु ने जवाब दिया, “सबसे महत्वपूर्ण कानून यह है: ‘हे इज्राएल के लोगों, सुनो! सिर्फ़ सृष्टि के परमेश्वर ही हमारे प्रभु हैं।
30 परमेश्वर अपने प्रभु को अपने पूरे दिल, अपने पूरे प्राण, अपने पूरे दिमाग और अपनी पूरी शक्ति से प्यार करो। यह सबसे महत्वपूर्ण कानून है।
31 और दूसरा कानून भी इतना ही महत्वपूर्ण है: ‘अपने पड़ोसी से अपने समान प्यार करो।’ कोई भी कानून इन दो कानूनों से ज़्यादा महत्वपूर्ण नहीं है।”
32 आदमी ने जवाब दिया, “गुरु जी, आपकी बात अच्छी है। यह सच है कि सृष्टि के परमेश्वर सिर्फ़ एक हैं। और दूसरे कोई भगवान नहीं हैं।
33 परमेश्वर को अपने पूरे दिल, अपने पूरे दिमाग, अपने पूरे प्राण और अपनी पूरी शक्ति से प्यार करना ही सबसे महत्वपूर्ण है। और अपने पड़ोसी से अपने समान प्यार करना भी उतना ही महत्वपूर्ण है। यह अग्नि बलि और सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के कानून में माँगे गये बलिदानों से ज़्यादा महत्वपूर्ण है।
34 प्रभु यीशु ने देखा कि उस आदमी ने बुद्धिमानी से जवाब दिया। उन्होंने उससे कहा, “तुम परमेश्वर के राज्य से दूर नहीं हो।” और उसके बाद किसी को प्रभु से और कोई सवाल पूछने की हिम्मत नहीं हुई।
मसीह किसका बेटा है?
35 प्रभु यीशु सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के मन्दिर में शिक्षा दे रहे थे। उन्होंने पूछा, “कानून के शिक्षक क्यों कहते हैं कि मसीह जो सारी सृष्टि के राजा हैं, राजा दाऊद के बेटे हैं?
36 पवित्र आत्मा दाऊद के द्वारा बोली, “प्रभु ने मेरे प्रभु से कहा, ‘जब तक मैं तुम्हारे दुश्मनों को तुम्हारे पैरों के नीचे नहीं डाल देता तब तक मेरी दाईं ओर बैठो।’”
37 अगर दाऊद मसीह को ‘प्रभु’ कहता है तो मसीह दाऊद के बेटे कैसे हो सकते हैं?” बड़ी भीड़ ने प्रभु यीशु को बड़ी रुचि से सुना।
38 फिर प्रभु ने उन्हें शिक्षा दी, “कानून के शिक्षकों से सावधान रहो। वे खास कपड़े पहकर घूमना पसन्द करते हैं। वे पसन्द करते हैं कि लोग बाज़ार में उन्हें नमस्कार करें।
39 वे प्रार्थना घरों में सबसे महत्वपूर्ण जगह और दावतों पर भी सम्मान की जगह पाना पसन्द करते हैं।
40 वे विधवाओं की जायदाद को लूटते हैं। वे दिखावे के लिए लम्बी प्रार्थनाएँ करते हैं। ऐसे लोगों को कड़ी सज़ा मिलेगी।”
विधवा की भेट
41 प्रभु यीशु मन्दिर के खज़ाने के सामने बैठे। उन्होंने देखा कि लोग वहाँ अपना पैसा कैसे डालते हैं। बहुत से अमीर लोगों ने बहुत सा पैसा दिया।
42 फिर एक गरीब विधवा ने आकर दो बहुत छोटे सिक्के उसमें डाले। वास्तव में इन सिक्कों की कीमत ज़्यादा नहीं थी।
43 प्रभु ने अपने चेलों को बुलाकर कहा, “सच यह है कि इस गरीब विधवा ने दूसरे सभी लोगों से ज़्यादा बड़ी भेट दी है।

1 The Lord Jesus began to tell stories to the people. He said, “A man planted a vineyard. He put a wall around it. He dug a pit for a winepress. He also built a tower. Then he gave the vineyard on rent to some farmers. And he went away on a journey.
2 At harvest time the owner sent a servant to the tenants. He told the servant to collect some of the fruits of the vineyard from them.
3 But they grabbed the servant and beat him. Then they sent him away with nothing.
4 So the owner sent another servant to the tenants. But they hit him on his head with stones and treated him shamefully.
5 Then the owner sent another servant. But the tenants killed him too. The owner sent many other servants. But the tenants beat some of them and killed the others.
6 The owner had one person left to send. It was his son, and he loved him. He sent him last of all. He said, ‘They will respect my son.’
7 But the tenants said to each other, ‘This is the one who will inherit all the owner’s property. Let’s kill him, then everything will be ours.’
8 So they grabbed him and killed him. Then they threw him out of the vineyard.
9 What will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and kill those tenants. And he will give the vineyard to others.
10 Didn't you ever read this in the Holy Book of God the Creator? ‘The stone which the builders rejected has become the most important foundation stone of the building.
11 The Lord has done it. It is so amazing to see!’
12 Then the religious leaders looked for a way to arrest the Lord Jesus. They knew that the Lord had told the story against them. But they were afraid of the crowd. So they left Him and went away.
Is It Right to Pay Taxes to the Government?
13 Later the religious leaders sent some Pharisees and supporters of King Herod to the Lord Jesus. They wanted to trap the Lord with His own words.
14 They came to the Lord and said, “Teacher, we know how honest You are. You don’t let others tell You what to do or say. You pay no attention to people’s position. But You teach the way of God truthfully. Is it right to pay taxes to the government or not?
15 Should we pay it or not?” But the Lord Jesus knew they were hypocrites. He could see their false hearts. So He asked, “Why are you trying to trap Me? Bring Me a silver coin. Let Me look at it.”
16 They brought the coin. Then the Lord asked them, “Whose picture and whose words are on the coin?” They answered, “This is a picture of Caesar, the head of the government.”
17 Then the Lord said to them, “Give to the government what belongs to the government. And give to God what belongs to God.” Jesus’ answer completely amazed them.
Will the Dead Marry?
18 There was a group of Jews called Sadducees. They did not believe that the dead would rise back to life. They came to the Lord Jesus and asked Him,
19 “Teacher, Prophet Moses gave us a Law. If a man dies, leaving his wife without children, then the brother of this man should marry the widow. He must have a child to carry on his dead brother's name.
20 There were seven brothers in one family. The first one got married. He died without leaving any children.
21 The second one married the widow. He also died and left no children. It was the same with the third one.
22 So none of the seven brothers left any children. Last of all, the woman died too.
23 Now tell us, when the dead rise back to life, whose wife will she be? All seven were married to her.”
24 The Lord answered, “Your mistake is that you do not know what is written in the Holy Book of God the Creator. And you do not know the power of God.
25 When the dead rise back to life, they will not get married. And their parents will not give them to be married. They will be like the angels in heaven.
26 Didn’t you read in the Holy Book of God the Creator about the dead rising back to life? In that book it is written about Prophet Moses and the burning bush. God the Creator said to Moses, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’
27 He is not the God of the dead. He is the God of the living. You are badly mistaken!”
The Most Important Law
28 One of the teachers of the Law of God the Creator came. He heard how the Sadducees were arguing with the Lord Jesus. He noticed that the Lord had given the Sadducees a good answer. So he asked the Lord, “God the Creator gave us many Laws through Prophet Moses. Which of them is the most important?”
29 The Lord Jesus answered, “The most important Law is this: ‘Hear, O people of Israel! God the Creator is our one and only Lord.
30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength. This is the most important Law.
31 And the second Law is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no law more important than these two Laws.”
32 The man answered, “Teacher, what You have said is good. It is true that there is only one God the Creator. And there are no other gods.
33 To love God with all your heart, with all your mind, with all your soul, and with all your strength is the most important. And to love your neighbor as you love yourself is equally important. This is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices required in the Law of God the Creator."
34 The Lord Jesus saw that the man had answered wisely. He said to him, “You are not far from the Kingdom of God.” And after that, no one dared to ask the Lord any more questions.
Whose Son Is the Christ?
35 The Lord Jesus was teaching in the Temple of God the Creator. He asked, “Why do the teachers of the Law say that the Christ, who is the King over All Creation, is the son of King David?
36 The Holy Spirit spoke through David, “The Lord said to my Lord, ‘Sit at My right hand until I put Your enemies under Your feet.’”
37 If David calls Christ ‘Lord,’ then how can Christ be David’s son?” The large crowd listened to the Lord Jesus with great interest.
38 Then the Lord taught them, “Beware of the teachers of the Law. They like to walk around specially dressed. They like to be greeted in the market places.
39 They love to have the most important seats in the Prayer Houses and also the places of honor at feasts.
40 They cheat widows out of their property. They say long prayers to show off. Such men will be punished most severely.”
The Widow's Donation
41 The Lord Jesus sat opposite the Temple’s treasury. He watched how people put their money there. Many rich people gave a lot of money.
42 Then a poor widow came and put in two very small coins. These coins didn’t have much worth really.
43 The Lord called His followers and said, “The truth is that this poor widow gave a donation much bigger than all the others.
44 They all gave, because they are rich. But the widow gave even though she is so poor. She put in everything she had. She gave all she had for living.” |
अध्याय 13 | Chapter 13 |
अन्त के चिन्ह
1 प्रभु यीशु सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के मन्दिर से जा रहे थे। उनके एक चेले ने उनसे कहा, “गुरु जी, देखिए! कितने बड़े पत्थर हैं! कितनी बढ़िया इमारतें हैं!”
2 प्रभु ने कहा, “क्या तुम इन बड़ी इमारतों को देखते हो? वे पूरी तरह से नष्ट कर दी जायेंगी! यहाँ एक भी पत्थर दूसरे पत्थर के ऊपर नहीं रहेगा। हर पत्थर गिराया जायेगा।”
3 बाद में प्रभु सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के मन्दिर के सामने जैतून पर्वत पर बैठे थे। पतरस, याकूब, यूहन्ना और अन्द्रियास ने उनसे अकेले में एक सवाल पूछा,
4 “हमें बताइये कि यह सब कब होगा? और यह सब पूरा होने से पहले क्या चिन्ह होंगे?”
5 प्रभु ने जवाब दिया, “सावधान रहो कि कोई तुम्हें बहकाने न पाए।
6 बहुत से लोग मेरे नाम से आयेंगे। वे दावा करेंगे, ‘मैं यीशु मसीह हूँ।’ वे बहुत से लोगों को धोखा देंगे।
7 तुम लड़ाइयों के बारे में सुनोगे और भविष्य की लड़ाइयों के बारे में अफ़वाह सुनोगे। डरना मत। ये बातें होनी हैं, लेकिन यह अन्त नहीं है।
8 राष्ट्र राष्ट्र के खिलाफ़ लड़ेंगे और राज्य राज्य के खिलाफ़। दुनियाँ के अलग–अलग भागों में भूकम्प, अकाल और मुसीबतें आएंगी। जैसे जन्म देने का दर्द बढ़ता चला जाता है उसी तरह यह सब भी आने वाले भय की शुरुआत होगी।
9 लेकिन तुम्हें सतर्क रहना है। लोग तुम्हें कोर्ट के हवाले कर देंगे। वे तुम्हें प्रार्थना घरों में मारेंगे। मेरे चेले होने के कारण वे तुम्हें शासकों और राजाओं के सामने लायेंगे। तब तुम्हारे पास यह मौका होगा कि तुम उन्हें मेरे बारे में बताओ।
10 और यह ज़रूरी है कि पापों से माफ़ी के बारे में मेरा संदेश पहले हर राष्ट्र में प्रचार किया जाए।
11 लोग तुम्हें पकड़कर न्याय के लिए ले जायेंगे। लेकिन तुम चिन्ता मत करना और तुम क्या कहोगे इस बारे में मत सोचना। उस समय जो पवित्र आत्मा तुम्हारे दिमाग में लाये तुम वही कहना। वह तुम नहीं बोल रहे होगे लेकिन पवित्र आत्मा बोल रही होगी।
12 भाई भाई को मारने के लिए विश्वास-घात करेगा। पिता अपने बच्चे को धोखा देगा। बच्चे अपने माता–पिता के खिलाफ़ हो जायेंगे और उन्हें मार डालेंगे।
13 हर कोई मेरे नाम के कारण तुम से नफ़रत करेगा। लेकिन परमेश्वर उन्हें बचायेंगे जो अन्त तक स्थिर रहेंगे।
14 प्रभु का संदेश लाने वाले दनिय्येल ने सृष्टि के परमेश्वर की पवित्र किताब में भविष्यवाणी की थी कि तुम ‘उस अशुद्ध चीज़ को देखोगे जो विनाश करती है।’ यह उस जगह पर होगी जहाँ इसे होने का अधिकार नहीं है।” पढ़ने वालों, ध्यान दो! “तब वे जो यहूदिया प्रदेश में हैं उन्हें जल्दी पहाड़ों पर चले जाना होगा।
15 उस समय कुछ लोग अपने घर की छत पर होंगे। उन्हें अपने घर के अन्दर कुछ भी लेने के लिए नहीं जाना चाहिए।
16 उस समय कुछ लोग खेतों में काम कर रहे होंगे। उन्हें अपने कपड़े लेने के लिए वापस नहीं जाना चाहिए।
17 उन दिनों में गर्भवती औरतों और छोटे बच्चों को दूध पिलाने वाली माताओं के लिए यह कितना भयानक होगा।
18 प्रार्थना करो कि यह सर्दियों में न हो।
19 परमेश्वर के दुनियाँ बनाने से अब तक बहुत से भयानक दिन आये। लेकिन अन्त के दिन और भी भयानक होंगे। और वैसे दिन फिर कभी नहीं आएंगे।
20 लेकिन कुछ लोग जीवित रहेंगे क्योंकि प्रभु उन दिनों को कम कर देंगे। नहीं तो हर कोई मर जाएगा। प्रभु अपने चुने हुए लोगों के कारण उन दिनों को कम करेंगे।
21 उस समय अगर कोई तुम से कहे, ‘देखो! मसीह यहाँ है’ या, ‘मसीह वहाँ है’ तो विश्वास मत करना।
22 झूठे मसीह और झूठे भविष्यवक्ता आयेंगे। वे चिन्ह और चमत्कार करेंगे। अगर यह मुमकिन हो तो वे परमेश्वर के चुने हुए लोगों को बहकाने की कोशिश करेंगे।
23 सावधान रहो! मैंने यह सब कुछ होने से पहले ही तुम्हें बता दिया है।
24 इसलिए उन दिनों में भयानक दुख होगा। उसके बाद जैसे सृष्टि के परमेश्वर की पवित्र किताब भविष्यवाणी करती है, ‘सूरज अन्धकारमय हो जायेगा। चाँद रोशनी नहीं देगा।
25 आकाश से तारे गिर जायेंगे। स्वर्ग की शक्ति हिला दी जायेगी।’
26 तब लोग मुझे, आदमी के बेटे को बादलों पर आते देखेंगे। मैं महान शक्ति और महिमा के साथ आऊँगा।
27 मैं अपने स्वर्गदूतों को भेजूँगा। और मैं अपने चुने हुए लोगों को चारों ओर, धरती से लेकर स्वर्ग के छोर तक इकट्ठा करूँगा।
28 अंजीर के पेड़ से उदाहरण लो। जब इसकी शाखाएँ कोमल हो जाती हैं और पत्ते दिखाई देने लगते हैं तो तुम जान लेते हो कि गर्मी नज़दीक है।
29 उसी तरह जब तुम इन बातों को होते हुए देखोगे तो तुम जान लेना कि मैं नज़दीक हूँ। मैं ठीक दरवाज़े पर खड़ा हूँ।
30 सच यह है कि इन सब बातों के होने तक यह पीढ़ी खत्म नहीं होगी।
31 स्वर्ग और धरती मिट जायेंगे। लेकिन मेरे वचन हमेशा रहेंगे।”
उस दिन और उस घड़ी को कोई नहीं जानता
32 “मेरे आने के दिन और घड़ी को कोई नहीं जानता। स्वर्गदूत नहीं जानते। मैं, आदमी का बेटा भी नहीं जानता। सिर्फ़ स्वर्गीय पिता जानते हैं।
33 सतर्क रहो, जागते रहो और प्रार्थना करो क्योंकि तुम नहीं जानते कि यह कब होगा।
34 यह एक आदमी के दूर जाने जैसा है। वह अपने घर से चला जाता है और अपने नौकरों को अधिकार देता है। अभी ज़िम्मेदारी उनकी है। वह उनमें से हर एक को काम देता है। वह चौकीदार को पहरेदारी करने की आज्ञा देता है।
35 इसलिए निगरानी करते रहो क्योंकि तुम नहीं जानते कि घर का मालिक कब लौटेगा। वह शाम को या आधी रात में आ सकता है। वह मुर्गे के बांग देते समय या सुबह आ सकता है।
36 जब वह बिना चेतावनी के आता है तो वह तुम्हें सोता हुआ न पाये।
37 और जो मैं तुम से कहता हूँ वह मैं सब से कहता हूँ। सतर्क रहो!” | Signs of the End
1 The Lord Jesus was leaving the Temple of God the Creator. One of His followers said to Him, “Teacher, look! What huge stones! What wonderful buildings!”
2 The Lord said, “Do you see these huge buildings? They will be completely destroyed! Not one stone here will be left on top of another. Every stone will be thrown down.”
3 Later the Lord was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the Temple of God the Creator. Peter, James, John and Andrew asked Him a question privately,
4 “Tell us, when will all this happen? And what will be the sign before all this will be fulfilled?”
5 The Lord answered, “Be careful that no one misleads you.
6 Many will come in My name. They will claim, ‘I am Jesus Christ.’ They will mislead many people.
7 You will hear about wars and rumors of future wars. Don't be afraid. Those things must happen, but it is still not the end.
8 Nation will fight against nation and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes, famines and troubles in different parts of the world. Birth pains become more and more intensive, in the same way all this will be only the beginning of the coming horrors.
9 But you must be on your guard. People will hand you over to the courts. They will beat you in the Prayer Houses. They will bring you before governors and kings, because you are My followers. This will be your opportunity to tell them about Me.
10 And My message about forgiveness of sins must first be preached to every nation.
11 People will arrest you and bring you to be judged. But don't worry and don’t think about what you will say. Just say what the Holy Spirit brings to your mind at that time. It is not you who will be speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
12 Brother will betray brother to death. Father will betray his own child. Children will go against their parents and put them to death.
13 Everyone will hate you because of My name. But God will save those who will stand firm to the end.
14 Prophet Daniel predicted in the Holy Book of God the Creator that you will see the ‘unclean thing which makes destruction’. It will stand in the place where it has no right to be.” Reader, pay attention! “Then those in Judea region must go quickly to the mountains.
15 There will be people on the roof of their houses at that time. They should not go down to their houses to take anything.
16 There will be people working in the fields at that time. They should not go back to take their clothes.
17 How terrible it will be for pregnant women and for mothers nursing their babies in those days!
18 Pray that this will not happen in winter.
19 There were many terrible days since God created the world till now. But those last days will be even more terrible. And days like those will never happen again.
20 But some people will survive, because the Lord will shorten those days. Otherwise everybody would die. The Lord will shorten those days because of His chosen people.
21 At that time do not believe if anyone says to you, ‘Look! The Christ is here’ or, ‘The Christ is there.’
22 False christs and false prophets will appear. They will do signs and miracles. They will try to mislead God’s chosen people if it is possible.
23 Be careful! I have told you everything before it happens.
24 So there will be terrible suffering in those days. After that, as the Holy Book of God the Creator predicts, ‘The sun will be darkened. The moon will not give light.
25 The stars will fall from the sky. The powers of heaven will be shaken.’
26 Then people will see Me, the Son of Man, coming in clouds. I will come with great power and glory.
27 I will send My angels. And I will gather My chosen people from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heaven.
28 Take an example from the fig tree. When its branches become soft, and its leaves appear, you know that the summer is near.
29 In the same way, when you see those things happening, know that I am near. I am right at the door.
30 The truth is this generation will not disappear until all these things have happened.
31 Heaven and earth will disappear. But My words will remain forever.”
No One Knows the Day and the Hour
32 “No one knows about the day or the hour of My coming. The angels in heaven do not know. I, the Son of Man, do not know. Only the Heavenly Father knows.
33 Be on your guard, stay awake and pray, because you don’t know when it will happen.
34 It is like a man going away. He leaves his house and gives authority to his servants. Now they are in charge. He gives a task to each one of them. He commands the doorkeeper to watch.
35 So keep watch, because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back. He may return in the evening or at midnight. He may come when the rooster crows or in the morning.
36 He must not find you sleeping when he comes without warning.
37 And what I say to you, I say to everyone. Keep watch!” |
अध्याय 14 | Chapter 14 |
एक औरत का प्रभु यीशु पर इत्र उड़ेलना
1 यह मिस्र की गुलामी से छुटकारे और रोटी के त्योहार से दो दिन पहले था। मुख्य पुरोहित और कानून के शिक्षक प्रभु यीशु को गिरफ़्तार करने के लिए शातिर रास्ता ढूँढ़ रहे थे। वे प्रभु यीशु को मार डालना चाहते थे।
2 लेकिन उन्होंने कहा, “हम यीशु को त्योहार के दौरान गिरफ़्तार नहीं करेंगे। अगर हम ऐसा करेंगे तो दंगा हो जायेगा।”
3 प्रभु यीशु बैतनिय्याह में शमौन के घर में थे। शमौन एक कोढ़ी था। रात के खाने के समय एक औरत कीमती इत्र के संगमरमर के जार के साथ अन्दर आयी। वह इत्र शुद्ध गुल-मेहंदी से बना था। उसने जार को तोड़कर इत्र को यीशु के सिर पर उड़ेल दिया।
4 वहाँ पर मौजूद कुछ लोग गुस्सा हो गये। उन्होंने एक दूसरे से कहा, “उसने इतना कीमती इत्र बरबाद क्यों किया?
5 इस इत्र का मूल्य एक साल की मज़दूरी से भी ज़्यादा है! हम इसे बेचकर गरीबों को पैसा दे सकते थे!” वे उससे बहुत गुस्सा थे।
6 लेकिन प्रभु यीशु ने कहा, “उसे अकेला छोड़ दो! तुम उसे क्यों परेशान कर रहे हो? उसने मेरे लिए इतना अच्छा काम किया है।
7 गरीब लोग हमेशा तुम्हारे साथ रहेंगे। तुम जब चाहो उनकी मदद कर सकते हो। लेकिन मैं तुम्हारे साथ हमेशा नहीं रहूँगा।
8 वह जो कर सकती थी उसने किया। उसने मुझे दफ़नाने को तैयार करने के लिए समय से पहले ही मेरे शरीर पर इत्र उड़ेला।
9 मैं तुमसे सच कहता हूँ कि लोग उस औरत के बारे में हमेशा याद रखेंगे। मेरे चेले पापों की माफ़ी के बारे में मेरा संदेश पूरी दुनियाँ में प्रचार करेंगे। और इस औरत ने जो मेरे लिए किया है वे उसे हर जगह बतायेंगे।”
10 यहूदा इस्करियोती बारह दूतों में से एक था। वह प्रभु यीशु के साथ विश्वास-घात करने के लिए मुख्य पुरोहितों के पास गया।
11 मुख्य पुरोहित यह सुनकर बहुत खुश हुए कि यहूदा ऐसा करेगा। उन्होंने उसे पैसे देने का वादा किया। इसलिए यहूदा प्रभु यीशु के साथ विश्वास-घात करने के लिए सही मौका ढूँढ़ने लगा।
प्रभु की दावत
12 वह रोटी के त्योहार का पहला दिन था। वह मिस्र की गुलामी से छुटकारे के त्योहार के लिए मेमने को बलिदान करने का समय था। यीशु के चेलों ने प्रभु से पूछा, “आप कहाँ चाहते हैं कि हम आपके लिए त्योहार का खाना तैयार करें?”
13 इसलिए प्रभु यीशु ने उनमें से दो को यरूशलेम भेजा। प्रभु ने उनसे कहा, “शहर में जाओ। तुम पानी का बरतन लिए हुए एक आदमी से मिलोगे। उसका पीछा करना।
14 वह आदमी एक घर में घुसेगा। तब उस घर के मालिक से कहना, ‘गुरु जी पूछते हैं, “मेरे लिए कमरा कहाँ है? मैं अपने चेलों के साथ त्योहार का खाना कहाँ खा सकता हूँ?”’
15 घर का मालिक तुम्हें ऊपर का बड़ा कमरा दिखायेगा। यह सजा हुआ और तैयार होगा। वहाँ हमारे खाने के लिए तैयारी करना।”
16 इसलिए यीशु के दो चेले उस जगह से निकलकर यरूशलेम चले गये। उन्होंने सब कुछ ऐसा ही पाया जैसा प्रभु ने उन्हें बताया था। और उन्होंने त्योहार का खाना वहाँ तैयार किया।
17 शाम को प्रभु अपने बारह दूतों के साथ आये।
18 वे खाना खा रहे थे और प्रभु यीशु ने कहा, “सच यह है कि तुम में से एक मेरे साथ विश्वास-घात करेगा। तुम में से एक जो अभी यहाँ मेरे साथ खाना खा रहा है।”
19 यीशु के चेले बहुत दुखी हुए। वे एक-एक करके प्रभु से पूछने लगे, “वह मैं नहीं हूँ, है न?”
20 प्रभु ने कहा, “मेरे बारह दूतों, वह तुम में से ही एक है। वह तुम में से एक है जो अपनी रोटी मेरे साथ कटोरे में डूबोता है।
21 सृष्टि के परमेश्वर की पवित्र किताब भविष्यवाणी करती है कि मुझे, आदमी के बेटे को मरना ज़रूरी है। लेकिन मेरे विश्वास-घात करने वाले के लिए यह कितना भयानक होगा। उसके लिए अच्छा होता कि वह पैदा ही न हुआ होता!”
22 वे खाना खा रहे थे और प्रभु यीशु ने रोटी ली। उन्होंने धन्यवाद देकर उसे तोड़ा। फिर प्रभु ने उसे अपने बारह दूतों को दिया और कहा, “इसे लो और खाओ। यह मेरा शरीर है।”
23 इसके बाद प्रभु ने कप लेकर धन्यवाद दिया। फिर उन्होंने अपने बारह दूतों को कप दे दिया। और उन सब ने उसमें से पिया।
24 प्रभु ने कहा, “यह मेरा खून है जो सृष्टि के परमेश्वर और लोगों के बीच में नया वादा है। मैं अपना खून बहुत से लोगों के लिए बहाता हूँ।
25 सच यह है कि मैं फिर से उस दिन तक अंगूर का रस नहीं पियूँगा जब तक परमेश्वर के राज्य में नया न पिऊँ।”
26 उसके बाद उन्होंने सृष्टि के परमेश्वर की प्रशंसा के गीत गाये। फिर वे जैतून पर्वत पर चले गये।
प्रभु यीशु का भविष्यवाणी करना कि पतरस उन्हें ठुकरायेगा
27 फिर प्रभु यीशु ने अपने बारह दूतों से कहा, “आज रात तुम सब मुझे ठुकराओगे। सृष्टि के परमेश्वर की पवित्र किताब भविष्यवाणी करती है, ‘चरवाहे को मार दिया जायेगा और भेड़ें बिखर जायेंगी।’
28 लेकिन मैं मरे हुओं में से वापस आऊँगा। फिर मैं तुमसे पहले गलील जाऊँगा और वहाँ तुमसे मिलूँगा।
29 पतरस ने प्रभु से कहा, “अगर हर कोई तुम्हें ठुकरा देगा तो भी मैं तुम्हारे साथ रहूँगा।”
30 प्रभु ने पतरस से कहा, “सच यह है कि आज रात तुम मुझे तीन बार ठुकराओगे। यह मुर्गे के दो बार बाँग देने से पहले होगा।”
31 लेकिन पतरस लगातार जोश में कहता रहा, “मैं आपको कभी नहीं ठुकराऊँगा! अगर मुझे आपके साथ मरना पड़े तो भी नहीं! और दूसरे दूतों ने भी यही कहा।”
प्रभु यीशु का गतसमनी में प्रार्थना करना
32 फिर प्रभु यीशु और उनके बारह दूत गतसमनी नाम की एक जगह पर गये। प्रभु ने उनसे कहा, “जब तक मैं प्रार्थना करता हूँ तुम यहाँ पर बैठो।”
33 प्रभु पतरस याकूब और यूहन्ना को अपने साथ ले गये। प्रभु बहुत ज़्यादा परेशान और बेचैन हो गये।
34 प्रभु ने उनसे कहा, “मेरा प्राण इतना दुखी है कि मैं मरने पर हूँ। यहाँ पर इन्तज़ार करो और सतर्क रहो।”
35 फिर प्रभु थोड़ा आगे गये। उन्होंने ज़मीन पर गिरकर प्रार्थना की कि अगर हो सके तो यह घड़ी उन पर से टल जाये।
36 प्रभु ने प्रार्थना की, “पिता, आपके लिए सब कुछ मुमकिन है। इस दुख के कप को मुझ से हटा दीजिए। लेकिन आपकी इच्छा पूरी हो न कि मेरी।”
37 फिर वे वापस आये और उन्होंने अपने चेलों को सोता हुआ पाया। प्रभु ने पतरस से कहा, “शमौन, क्या तुम सो गये? क्या तुम एक घण्टा सतर्क नहीं रह सके?
38 सतर्क रहो और प्रार्थना करो। तब परीक्षा तुम पर हावी नहीं होगी। आत्मा मज़बूत है। लेकिन शरीर कमज़ोर है।“
39 एक बार फिर प्रभु ने जाकर वही प्रार्थना की।
40 तब वे अपने चेलों के पास लौटे। और प्रभु ने उन्हें फिर से सोता हुआ पाया। वे अपनी आँखें खुली नहीं रख सके। और वे नहीं जानते थे कि प्रभु से क्या कहें।
41 फिर वे अपने चेलों के पास तीसरी बार वापस गये। प्रभु ने उनसे कहा, “क्या तुम अभी तक सो रहे हो और आराम कर रहे हो? बहुत हो गया! समय आ गया है। देखो! मैं, आदमी का बेटा पापियों के हाथों में पकड़वाया जाता हूँ।
42 उठो! चलो! मेरा विश्वास-घाती नज़दीक है।”
प्रभु यीशु का गिरफ़्तार होना
43 जब प्रभु यीशु बोल ही रहे थे तब यहूदा आया। वह बारह दूतों में से एक था। उसके साथ सीपाहियों की भीड़ थी। वे तलवार और लाठी लिए हुए थे। मुख्य पुरोहितों, कानून के शिक्षकों और बुज़ुर्ग लोगों ने उन्हें भेजा था।
44 यहूदा ने उनसे कहा कि वह यह दिखाने के लिए कि किसे गिरफ़्तार करना है एक खास चिन्ह देगा, “जिसे मैं नमस्कार का चुम्बन दूँगा वह यीशु है। उसे गिरफ़्तार करके पहरेदार की देखरेख में ले जाना।”
45 जब वे पहुँचे, यहूदा सीधे प्रभु के पास गया। उसने कहा, “गुरु जी! गुरु जी! फिर यहूदा ने चुम्बन देकर प्रभु को नमस्कार किया।”
46 उसी समय जो यहूदा के साथ आये थे उन्होंने प्रभु यीशु को पकड़कर गिरफ़्तार कर लिया।
47 तब पास में खड़े लोगों में से किसी एक ने अपनी तलवार निकाली। उसने महापुजारी के सेवक पर हमला किया और उसका कान काट दिया।
48 फिर प्रभु ने कहा, “क्या मैं कोई खतरनाक अपराधी हूँ जो तुम मुझे तलवार और लाठियों के साथ गिरफ़्तार करने आते हो?
49 हर रोज़ मैं तुम्हारे साथ था। मैंने तुम्हें सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के मन्दिर में शिक्षा दी। और तुमने मुझे गिरफ़्तार नहीं किया। लेकिन वह सब सच होना है जिसकी सृष्टि के परमेश्वर की पवित्र किताब में भविष्यवाणी की गयी है।”
50 फिर यीशु के सभी चेले उन्हें छोड़कर भाग गये।
51 एक ही जवान था जो प्रभु के पीछे चलता रहा। उसने लिनन के कपड़े के टुकड़े के सिवाय और कुछ नहीं पहना था। भीड़ ने उसे पकड़ने की कोशिश की।
52 लेकिन वह अपना कपड़ा उनके हाथों में छोड़कर नंगा भाग गया।
प्रभु यीशु का उच्च नयायालय में ले जाया जाना
53 भीड़ प्रभु यीशु को महापुजारी के पास ले गयी। सभी मुख्य पुजारी, बुज़ुर्ग लोग और कानून के शिक्षक वहाँ इकट्ठा हुए।
54 पतरस ने दूर से प्रभु का पीछा किया। वह सीधे महापुजारी के आंगन में गया। वहाँ उसने नौकरों के साथ बैठकर आग सेंकी।
55 मुख्य पुरोहित और पूरा उच्च न्यायालय जो सेनहेडरिन कहलाता था प्रभु यीशु के खिलाफ़ गवाह ढूँढ़ रहे थे। वे प्रभु को मौत की सज़ा दिलाना चाहते थे। लेकिन उन्हें कोई सबूत नहीं मिला।
56 बहुत से झूठे गवाहों ने प्रभु के खिलाफ़ गवाही दी। लेकिन वे एक दूसरे से सहमत नहीं हुए।
57 अन्त में कुछ लोग खड़े उठे। उन्होंने प्रभु के बारे में झूठी गवाही दी,
58 “हमने यीशु को कहते सुना, ‘मैं आदमी के हाथों द्वारा बनाये गये सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के इस मन्दिर को नाश कर दूँगा। और तीन दिन में मैं एक दूसरा मन्दिर बनाऊँगा जो आदमी के हाथों से बना हुआ नहीं होगा।’”
59 लेकिन फिर भी उनकी गवाही एक सी नहीं थी।
60 फिर महापुजारी सबके सामने खड़ा हुआ। उसने प्रभु यीशु से पूछा, “क्या तुम जवाब नहीं दोगे? जो दोष ये लोग तुम पर लगा रहे हैं वे क्या हैं?”
61 लेकिन प्रभु चुप रहे और कुछ नहीं कहा। फिर से महापुजारी ने उनसे पूछा, “क्या तुम मसीह हो, सारी सृष्टि के राजा? क्या तुम सृष्टि के आशीषित परमेश्वर के बेटे हो?”
62 प्रभु ने कहा, “मैं हूँ। और तुम मुझे, आदमी के बेटे को शक्ति के दाईं ओर बैठे हुए और बादलों पर आते हुए देखोगे।”
63 महापुजारी ने गुस्से में आकर अपने कपड़े फाड़ दिए। उसने कहा, “हमें और गवाहों की क्या ज़रूरत है?”
64 तुमने अभी खुद सुना कि उसने सृष्टि के परमेश्वह के खिलाफ़ कैसे बोला। तुम क्या सोचते हो?” उन सब ने प्रभु को दोषी पाया। और उन्होंने कहा कि प्रभु को मौत की सज़ा मिलनी ही चाहिए।
65 फिर उनमें से कुछ प्रभु पर थूकने लगे। उन्होंने प्रभु का चेहरा ढक दिया और उन्हें मारने लगे। उन्होंने कहा, “भविष्यवाणी कर कि आगे क्या होगा!” और पहरेदारों ने उसे ले जाकर मारा।
पतरस का यह कहना कि वह प्रभु यीशु को नहीं जानता
66 इस समय पतसर नीचे आंगन में था। महापुजारी की एक नौकरानी वहाँ आयी।
67 उसने पतरस को आग सेकते हुए देखा। उसने उसे ध्यान से देखकर कहा, “तुम भी नासरी के यीशु के साथ थे।”
68 लेकिन पतरस ने मना किया। उसने कहा, “मैं नहीं जानता, मुझे नहीं पता कि तुम किस बारे में बात कर रही हो।” और वह प्रवेश द्वार की ओर बाहर चला गया। तभी एक मुर्गे ने बाँग दी।
69 नौकरानी ने पतरस को फिर से वहाँ देखा। और वह दूसरों से कहने लगी, “यह आदमी यीशु के चेलों में से एक है।”
70 लेकिन पतरस ने फिर से मना किया। कुछ समय के बाद पतरस के पास खड़े लोग उससे कहने लगे, “तुम ज़रूर यीशु के चेलों में से एक हो। तुम्हारा बोलना भी गलील के लोगों की तरह है।”
71 लेकिन पतरस ने कहा, “मैं परमेश्वर की कसम खाकर कहता हूँ जिस यीशु की तुम बात कर रहे हो मैं उसे नहीं जानता!”
72 उसी समय मुर्गे ने दूसरी बार बाँग दी। अचानक से पतरस को प्रभु यीशु की बात याद आयी, “मुर्गे के दो बार बाँग देने से पहले तुम तीन बार मेरा इनकार करोगे।” और पतरस फूट-फूटकर रोने लगा। | A Woman Pours Perfume on the Lord Jesus
1 It was now two days before the Celebration of Deliverance from Egyptian Slavery and the Festival of Chapatti. The chief priests and the teachers of the Law were looking for a clever way to arrest the Lord Jesus. They wanted to kill Him.
2 But they said, “We will not arrest Jesus during the Festival. If we do it, there will be a riot.”
3 The Lord Jesus was in Bethany in Simon’s home. Simon was a leper. During supper, a woman came in with a marble jar of expensive perfume. The perfume was made out of pure nard. She broke the jar and poured the perfume on Jesus’ head.
4 Some of the people there became angry. They said to one another, “Why did she waste this expensive perfume?
5 The price of this perfume is more than a year’s wages! We could sell it and give money to the poor!” They were very angry with her.
6 But the Lord Jesus said, “Leave her alone! Why are you bothering her? She did such a good thing to Me.
7 You will always have poor people with you. You can help them any time you want. But I will not always be with you.
8 She did what she could. She poured perfume on My Body before time to prepare Me to be buried.
9 I tell you the truth that people will always remember about this woman. My followers will preach My message about forgiveness of sins all over the world. And they will tell everywhere about what this woman did for Me.”
10 Judas Iscariot was one of the Twelve Apostles. He went to the chief priests to betray the Lord Jesus to them.
11 The chief priests were happy to hear that Judas would do this. They promised to give him money. So Judas began looking for the right time to betray the Lord Jesus.
The Lord’s Supper
12 It was the first day of the Festival of Chapatti. That was the time to sacrifice the lamb for the Celebration of Deliverance from Egyptian Slavery. Jesus’ followers asked the Lord, "Where do you want us to go to prepare the festive meal for You?"
13 So the Lord sent two of His followers to Jerusalem. He told them, “Go to the city. You will meet a man carrying a jar of water. Follow him.
14 That man will enter a house. Then say to the owner of the house, ‘The Teacher asks, “Where is the room for Me? Where can I eat the festive meal with My followers?”’
15 The owner of the house will show you a large upstairs room. It will be furnished and ready. Prepare for us to eat there.”
16 So two of Jesus’ followers left that place and went to Jerusalem. They found everything just as the Lord Jesus told them. And they prepared the festive meal there.
17 In the evening the Lord came with His Twelve Apostles.
18 They were eating, and the Lord Jesus said, “The truth is one of you will betray Me. One of you who is here eating with Me.”
19 Jesus’ followers became very sad. One by one they started asking the Lord, “It is not I, is it?”
20 The Lord said, “It is one of you, My Twelve Apostles. It is one of you who dips his chapatti into the bowl with Me.
21 The Holy Book of God the Creator predicts that I, the Son of Man, must die. But how terrible it will be for My betrayer. It would be better for him if he had not been born!”
22 They were eating, and the Lord Jesus took chapatti. He gave thanks and broke it. Then the Lord gave it to His Twelve Apostles and said, “Take it and eat it. This is My Body.”
23 After this the Lord took the cup and gave thanks. Then He gave the cup to His Twelve Apostles. And they all drank from it.
24 The Lord said, “This is My Blood of the New Agreement between God the Creator and people. I pour out My Blood for many people.
25 The truth is I will not drink the fruit of the vine again until the day I drink it new in the Kingdom of God.”
26 After this they sang a song of praise to God the Creator. Then they went to the Mount of Olives.
The Lord Jesus Predicts That Peter Will Reject Him
27 Then the Lord Jesus said to His Twelve Apostles, “All of you will reject Me this night. The Holy Book of God the Creator predicts, ‘The Shepherd will be killed, and the sheep will be scattered.’
28 But I will come back from the dead. Then I will go before you to Galilee and meet you there.”
29 Peter said to the Lord, “I will be with You, even if everyone will reject You.”
30 The Lord said to Peter, “The truth is, you will reject Me three times this night. It will happen before the rooster crows twice.”
31 But Peter continued to say with passion, “I will never reject You! Even if I have to die with You!” And all the other Apostles said the same.
The Lord Jesus Prays in Gethsemane
32 Then the Lord Jesus and His Twelve Apostles went to a place called Gethsemane. The Lord said to them, “Sit here while I pray.”
33 He took Peter, James, and John with Him. The Lord became deeply troubled and distressed.
34 The Lord said to them, “My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Wait here and stay alert.”
35 He went a little further. Then He fell to the ground. He prayed that, if it were possible, this hour might pass Him by.
36 The Lord prayed, “Father, everything is possible for You. Take this cup of suffering away from Me. But let Your will be done, not My will.”
37 Then He came back and found His followers sleeping. The Lord said to Peter, “Simon, are you asleep? Couldn’t you stay alert for one hour?
38 Stay alert and pray. Then temptation will not overcome you. The spirit is strong. But the body is weak.”
39 Once more the Lord went away and prayed the same prayer.
40 Then He returned to His followers. And again He found them sleeping. They couldn’t keep their eyes open. And they did not know what to say to the Lord.
41 Then He returned to His followers the third time. He said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? Enough! The time has come. Look! I, the Son of Man, am betrayed into the hands of sinners.
42 Get up! Let’s go! My betrayer is near.”
The Lord Jesus Is Arrested
43 While the Lord Jesus was speaking, Judas came. He was one of the Twelve Apostles. A crowd of armed men were with him. They were carrying swords and sticks. The chief priests, the teachers of the Law, and the elders sent them.
44 Judas told them that he will give a special sign to show whom to arrest, “The one I give a kiss of greeting is Jesus. Arrest Him and lead Him away under guard.”
45 When they arrived, Judas went straight to the Lord. He said, “Teacher! Teacher!” Then Judas greeted the Lord with a kiss.
46 Those who came with Judas grabbed Jesus and arrested Him.
47 Then one of those standing nearby pulled his sword out. He struck the servant of the High Priest and cut off his ear.
48 Then the Lord said, “Am I some dangerous criminal that you come with swords and sticks to arrest Me?
49 Every day I was with you. I taught you in the Temple of God the Creator. And you did not arrest Me. But everything predicted in the Holy Book of God the Creator must come true.”
50 Then all Jesus’ followers left Him and ran away.
51 There was one young man who continued to follow the Lord. He was wearing nothing but a piece of linen cloth. The crowd tried to grab him.
52 But he left his cloth in their hands and ran away from them naked.
The Lord Jesus Is Taken to the High Court
53 The crowd took the Lord Jesus to the High Priest. All of the chief priests, the elders, and the teachers of the Law gathered there.
54 Peter followed the Lord at a distance. He went right into the courtyard of the High Priest. There he sat with the servants and warmed himself by the fire.
55 The chief priests and the whole High Court, called Sanhedrin, were looking for witness against the Lord Jesus. They wanted to put Him to death. But they did not find any proof.
56 Many false witnesses spoke against the Lord. But they did not agree with each other.
57 Finally some men stood up. They gave false witness about Him,
58 “We heard how Jesus said, ‘I will destroy this Temple of God the Creator made by human hands. And in three days I will build another temple, not made by human hands.’”
59 But even then their testimony did not agree.
60 Then the High Priest stood up in front of everyone. He asked the Lord Jesus, “Aren’t You going to answer? What are these accusations these men are bringing against You?”
61 But the Lord kept quiet and said nothing. Again the High Priest asked Him, “Are you the Christ, King Over All Creation? Are you the Son of the Blessed God the Creator?”
62 The Lord said, “I am. And you will see Me, the Son of Man, sitting at the right hand of power and coming on the clouds of heaven.”
63 The High Priest tore his clothes in anger. He said, “Why do we need other witnesses?
64 You have just heard how He spoke against God the Creator. What do you think?” They all found the Lord guilty. And they said that He must die.
65 Then some of them began to spit at the Lord. They covered His face and started hitting Him. They said, “Predict what will happen next!” And the guards took Him and beat Him.
Peter Says He Does Not Know the Lord Jesus
66 At this time Peter was below in the courtyard. One of the servant girls of the High Priest came there.
67 She noticed Peter warming himself by the fire. She looked at him closely and said, “You also were with Jesus, the man from Nazareth.”
68 But Peter rejected it. He said, “I do not know, I do not understand what you are talking about.” And he went out to the entrance. Just then, a rooster crowed.
69 The servant girl again saw Peter there. And she started telling the others, “This man is one of Jesus’ followers.”
70 But Peter rejected it again. After some time people standing near Peter started saying to him, “You must be one of Jesus’ followers. You even speak like people from Galilee speak.”
71 But Peter said, “I swear by God, I don’t know this Jesus you are talking about!”
72 Immediately the rooster crowed the second time. Suddenly Jesus’ words came to Peter’s mind, “Before the rooster crows twice, you will reject Me three times.” And Peter burst into tears. |

लोगों का प्रभु यीशु को राज्यपाल के पास लाना
1 यह बहुत सुबह की बात थी। मुख्य पुरोहित, बुज़ुर्ग लोग, कानून के शिक्षक और पूरा उच्च न्यायालय फ़ैसला लेने के लिए इकट्ठा हुए। वे प्रभु यीशु को बाँधकर राज्यपाल पिलातुस के पास ले गये।
2 पिलातुस ने पूछा, “क्या तुम यहूदियों के राजा हो?” प्रभु यीशु ने कहा, “तुम ऐसा कहते हो।”
3 फिर मुख्य पुरोहितों ने प्रभु पर बहुत से अपराधों का आरोप लगाया।
4 इसलिए पिलातुस ने उनसे फिर पूछा, “क्या तुम जवाब नहीं दोगे? देखो, तुम्हारे खिलाफ़ कितने आरोप हैं!”
5 लेकिन प्रभु यीशु ने कुछ नहीं कहा। पिलातुस को हैरानी हुई।
6 राज्यपाल के पास हर साल मिस्र की गुलामी से छुटकारे के त्योहार के समय एक कैदी को छोड़ने का रिवाज था। लोग किसी भी एक कैदी को छुड़ा सकते थे।
7 उस समय बरब्बास कैदियों में से एक था। उसने और उसके साथियों ने सरकार के खिलाफ़ लड़ाई की और कत्ल किया।
8 भीड़ ने हमेशा की तरह चिल्लाकर पिलातुस से एक कैदी को छोड़ने के लिए कहा।
9 पिलातुस ने पूछा, “क्या तुम चाहते हो कि मैं तुम्हारे लिए यहूदियों के राजा को छोड़ दूँ?”
10 पिलातुस जानता था कि मुख्य पुरोहितों ने प्रभु यीशु को जलन के मारे गिरफ़्तार करवाया था।
11 लेकिन मुख्य पुरोहितों ने भीड़ को भड़काया। इसलिए भीड़ ने प्रभु यीशु के बजाय बरब्बास को छोड़ने की माँग की।
12 तब पिलातुस ने फिर से कहा, “तुम इस आदमी को यहूदियों का राजा बुलाते हो! मैं उसके साथ क्या करूँ?”
13 भीड़ चिल्लायी, “उसे क्रूस पर मार दो!”
14 पिलातुस ने उनसे पूछा, “क्यों? उसने क्या अपराध किया है?” लेकिन वे और ज़ोर से चिल्लाये, “उसे क्रूस पर मार दो!”
15 पिलातुस भीड़ को खुश करना चाहता था। इसलिए उसने बरब्बास को उनके लिए छोड़ दिया। फिर पिलातुस ने सिपाहियों को प्रभु को कोड़े मारकर क्रूस पर चढ़ाने की आज्ञा दी।
सिपाहियों का प्रभु यीशु का मज़ाक बनाना
16 सिपाही प्रभु यीशु को महल के अन्दर एक जगह पर ले गये। वह प्रीटोरियुम कहलाता था। उन्होंने वहाँ सिपाहियों का एक बड़ा झुण्ड इकट्ठा किया।
17 उन्होंने प्रभु यीशु को राजा की तरह दिखने के लिए बैंगनी रंग के कपड़े पहनाये। फिर उन्होंने ताज बनाने के लिए काँटों को साथ में गुथा। उन्होंने उसे प्रभु यीशु के सिर पर रखा।
18 वे प्रभु का मज़ाक उड़ाने लगे। वे चिल्लाये, “यहूदियों के राजा की जय हो!”
19 उन्होंने प्रभु के सिर पर डण्डे से मारा और उन पर थूका। उन्होंने अपने घुटनों पर बैठकर प्रभु की आराधना करने का ढोंग किया।
20 अन्त में सिपाहियों ने प्रभु का मज़ाक बनाना खत्म किया। उन्होंने बैंगनी कपड़े उतारकर प्रभु के अपने कपड़े फिर से उन्हें पहनाये। फिर वे प्रभु को क्रूस पर चढ़ाने के लिए ले गये।
प्रभु यीशु को क्रूस पर चढ़ाना
21 वहाँ शमौन नाम का एक आदमी था जो सिकन्दर और रूफुस का पिता था। वह कुरेनी से था। शमौन प्रभु यीशु और सिपाहियों के पास से गुज़र रहा था। वह यरूशलेम के बाहरी क्षेत्र से आ रहा था। सिपाहियों ने शमौन पर दबाव डाला कि वह उनके साथ यीशु का क्रूस उठाकर चले।
22 अन्त में सिपाही प्रभु यीशु को गुलगुता नाम की जगह पर लाये। गुलगुता शब्द का मतलब है खोपड़ी की जगह।
23 उन्होंने प्रभु को मुर्र मिली हुई वाइन दी। लेकिन प्रभु ने उसे पीने से मना कर दिया।
24 फिर उन्होंने प्रभु को क्रूस पर चढ़ाकर उनके कपड़ों के लिए जुआ खेला। उन्होंने यह तय करने के लिए परचियाँ डालीं कि यीशु के कपड़े कौन लेगा।
25 सुबह के नौ बजे उन्होंने प्रभु को क्रूस पर चढ़ाया।
26 सीपाहियों ने यीशु के सिर के ऊपर एक तख्ती पर सूचना लिखी। यह उनके अपराध की घोषणा कर रही थी, “यहूदियों का राजा।”
27 सीपाहियों ने दो और अपराधियों को भी क्रूस पर चढ़ाया। एक यीशु के दाईं ओर था और दूसरा बाईं ओर।
28 यह वैसे ही हुआ जैसा कि प्रभु का संदेश लाने वाले यशायाह ने सृष्टि के परमेश्वर की पवित्र किताब में भविष्यवाणी की थी, “लोगों ने सारी सृष्टी के राजा के साथ अपराधियों के जैसा व्यवहार किया।”
29 लोग क्रूस के पास से गुज़रे। उन्होंने प्रभु को ज़ोर-ज़ोर से गाली दी। उन्होंने अपने सिर हिलाकर कहा, “अरे! उसे देखो! वह सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के मन्दिर को नाश करके तीन दिन में फिर से बनाने वाला था!
30 खुद को बचा! क्रूस से नीचे उतर आ!”
31 उसी तरह से मुख्य पुरोहितों और कानून के शिक्षकों ने प्रभु यीशु का मज़ाक उड़ाया। उन्होंने एक दूसरे से कहा, “उसने दूसरों को बचाया लेकिन वह खुद को नहीं बचा सकता!
32 अब यह मसीह, इस्राएल का राजा क्रूस से उतरकर दिखाए तब हम विश्वास करेंगे।” यहाँ तक कि वे दो अपराधी जो प्रभु यीशु के साथ क्रूस पर चढ़ाये गये थे उन्होंने भी प्रभु को गाली दी।
प्रभु यीशु की मौत
33 दिन के 12 बजे थे। अचानक से पूरी जगह पर अंधेरा छा गया। यह तीन घण्टे तक रहा।
34 तीन बजे प्रभु यीशु ज़ोर से चीखे, “इलोई, इलोई लमा शबक्तनी?” इसका मतलब है “मेरे परमेश्वर, मेरे परमेश्वर, आपने मेरी ओर अपनी पीठ क्यों फेर दी?”
35 कुछ लोग क्रूस के पास खड़े थे। उन्होंने यह सुनकर कहा, “सुनो! वह प्रभु का संदेश लाने वाले एलिय्याह को पुकार रहा है।”
36 उनमें से एक ने दौड़कर खट्टी वाइन में स्पंज को भिगोया। उसने उसे एक डण्डे में रखा। फिर उसने उसे प्रभु को पिलाने के लिए उनकी ओर उठाया। उसने कहा, “ठहरो! देखते हैं कि क्या प्रभु का संदेश लाने वाला एलिय्याह उसे क्रूस से उतारने के लिए आयेगा।”
37 प्रभु यीशु ने ज़ोर की चीख के साथ आखिरी साँस ली।
38 और सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के मन्दिर का पर्दा ऊपर से नीचे की ओर दो हिस्सों में फट गया।
39 प्रभु यीशु के सामने एक रोमी सेनापति खड़ा था। उसने यीशु की चीख सुनी और उन्हें मरते हुए देखा। फिर उसने कहा, “मुझे यकीन हो गया कि यह आदमी परमेश्वर का बेटा था!”
40 वहाँ पर कुछ औरतें थीं। उनमें मरीयम मगदलीनी, सलोमी और छोटे याकूब और योसेस की माँ मरीयम थीं। वे दूर से देख रही थीं।
41 ये औरतें यीशु के पीछे चलती थीं। जब प्रभु यीशु गलील में थे तो उन्होंने प्रभु की सेवा की थी। फिर वे और बहुत सी दूसरी औरतें प्रभु के साथ यरूशलेम आयी थीं।
यूसुफ का यीशु के शव को दफ़नाना
42 यह शुक्रवार की शाम थी। शुक्रवार शनिवार की तैयारी का दिन कहलाता था।
43 वहाँ यूसुफ नाम का एक आदमी था। वह अरिमतिया शहर से था। यूसुफ उच्च समिति का मुख्य सदस्य था। वह परमेश्वर के राज्य के आने का इन्तज़ार कर रहा था। यूसुफ ने साहस से राज्यपाल पिलातुस के पास जाकर यीशु का शव माँगा।
44 पिलातुस को यह सुनकर हैरानी हुई कि प्रभु की मौत इतनी जल्दी हो गयी। इसलिए उसने रोमी सेनापति को बुलाकर पूछा, “क्या यीशु मर चुका है?”
45 सेनापति ने कहा कि प्रभु सच में मर चुके हैं। इसलिए पिलातुस ने यीशु का शव यूसुफ को दे दिया।
46 फिर यूसुफ ने कुछ लिनन का कपड़ा खरीदा। उसने यीशु का शव क्रूस से नीचे उतारकर लिनन के कपड़े में लपेटा। उसने शव को एक कब्र में रखा जो चट्टान को काटकर बनायी गयी थी। फिर उसने कब्र का मुँह एक बड़े पत्थर से बन्द कर दिया।
47 मरीयम मगदलीनी और योसेस की माँ, मरीयम ने देखा कि यूसुफ ने यीशु का शव कहाँ रखा। | People Bring the Lord Jesus to the Governor
1 It was very early in the morning. The chief priests, the elders and the teachers of the Law, the entire High Court gathered together to take a decision. They bound the Lord Jesus and took Him to Pilate the Governor.
2 Pilate asked, “Are you the King of the Jews?” The Lord Jesus said, “You say so.”
3 Then the chief priests accused the Lord of many crimes.
4 So Pilate asked Him again, “Aren't you going to answer? See how many accusations are against You!”
5 But the Lord Jesus said nothing. Pilate was amazed.
6 The Governor had a custom to release one prisoner each year at the time of Celebration of Deliverance from Egyptian Slavery. The people could ask for any prisoner.
7 One of the prisoners at that time was Barabbas. He and his people fought against the government and committed murder.
8 The crowd shouted and asked Pilate to release a prisoner as usual.
9 Pilate asked, “Do you want me to release for you the King of the Jews?”
10 Pilate knew that the chief priests arrested the Lord Jesus out of envy.
11 But the chief priests stirred up the crowd. So the crowd demanded to release Barabbas instead of the Lord Jesus.
12 Then Pilate spoke again, “You call this man the King of the Jews! What should I do with Him?”
13 The crowd shouted, “Kill Him on the cross!”
14 Pilate asked them, “Why? What crime has He committed?” But they shouted even louder, “Kill Him on the cross!”
15 Pilate wanted to please the crowd. So he released Barabbas to them. Then Pilate ordered soldiers to beat the Lord and nail Him to a cross.
The Soldiers Make Fun of the Lord Jesus
16 The soldiers led the Lord Jesus away into the square in front of the palace. It was called the Praetorium. They gathered a big group of soldiers there.
17 They dressed the Lord Jesus with a purple garment to make Him look like a king. Then they twisted thorns together to make a crown. They placed it on His head.
18 They started to make fun of the Lord. They shouted, “Salute, King of the Jews!”
19 They hit the Lord on the head with a stick and spit on Him. They fell on their knees and pretended to worship Him.
20 The soldiers finally finished making fun of the Lord. They took off the purple garment and put His own clothes back on Him. Then they led Him away to nail Him to a cross.
The Lord Jesus Is Nailed to a Cross
21 There was a man named Simon who was the father of Alexander and Rufus. He was from Cyrene. Simon was passing by the Lord and soldiers. He was coming from the outskirts of Jerusalem. The soldiers forced Simon to go with them to carry Jesus’ cross.
22 Finally soldiers brought the Lord Jesus to the place called Golgotha. The word Golgotha means The Place of the Skull.
23 They gave the Lord wine spiced with myrrh. But He refused to drink.
24 Then they nailed the Lord to the cross and gambled for His clothes. They threw dice to decide who would get Jesus’ clothes.
25 It was nine o’clock in the morning when they nailed the Lord to the cross.
26 Soldiers put a notice above Jesus’ head. It was announcing the statement of His crime, “The King of the Jews.”
27 Soldiers also nailed two other criminals to crosses. One was on Jesus’ right side, and the other was on the left side.
28 It happened as Prophet Isaiah predicted in the Holy Book of God the Creator, “People treated the King Over All Creation as one of the criminals.”
29 People passed by the cross. They shouted abuse at the Lord. They shook their heads and said, “Ha! Look at Him! He was going to destroy the Temple of God the Creator and build it again in three days!
30 Save Yourself! Come down from the cross!”
31 In the same way the chief priests and the teachers of the Law made fun of the Lord Jesus. They said to each other, “He saved others, but He cannot save Himself!
32 Let this Christ, this King of Israel, come down from the cross now! When we see that, we will believe.” Even the two criminals who were nailed to the crosses with the Lord Jesus abused Him.
The Lord Jesus Dies
33 It was 12 o’clock in the afternoon. Suddenly darkness covered the whole land. It lasted three hours.
34 At three o’clock the Lord Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?” This means “My God, my God, why did You turn Your back on Me?”
35 There were some people standing by the cross. They heard it and said, “Listen! He is calling Prophet Elijah.”
36 One of them ran and filled a sponge with sour wine. He put it on a stick. Then he lifted it up to the Lord to drink. He said, “Wait! Let’s see whether Prophet Elijah will come to take Him down from the cross.”
37 The Lord Jesus took His last breath with a loud cry.
38 And the curtain in the Temple of God the Creator was torn into two parts from top to bottom.
39 A Roman commander was standing there in front of the Lord Jesus. He heard Jesus’ cry and saw how He died. Then he said, “I am convinced, this Man was the Son of God!”
40 Some women were there. Among them were Mary Magdalene, Salome and Mary, the mother of the younger James and Joses. They were watching from a distance.
41 These women followed the Lord Jesus. They served Him when He was in Galilee. Then they and many other women came with the Lord to Jerusalem.
Joseph Buries Jesus’ Body
42 It was Friday evening. Friday was called the Day of Preparation for Saturday.
43 There was a man called Joseph. He was from the town of Arimathea. Joseph was a leading member of the High Council. He was waiting for the Kingdom of God to come. Joseph went boldly to Pilate the Governor and asked for Jesus’ Body.
44 Pilate was surprised to hear that the Lord died so soon. So he called the Roman commander and asked him, “Is Jesus already dead?”
45 The commander said that the Lord really died. So Pilate gave Jesus’ Body to Joseph.
46 Then Joseph bought some linen cloth. He took Jesus’ Body down from the cross and wrapped it in the linen cloth. He put it in a tomb which was cut out of rock. Then he closed the entrance of the tomb with a huge stone.

प्रभु यीशु का फिर से जीवित होना
1 अगली शाम को जब शनिवार खत्म हुआ, मरीयम मगदलीनी, सलोमी और याकूब की माँ, मरीयम सुगंधित तेल लेकर आयीं। उनके दफ़नाने की प्रथा के अनुसार वे उसे यीशु के शव पर लगाने वाले थे।
2 रविवार की सुबह वे कब्र पर आयीं। यह सूर्योदय के ठीक बाद की बात थी।
3 उन्होंने एक दूसरे से पूछा, “कब्र के मुँह से पत्थर कौन हटायेगा?”
4 लेकिन जब वे पहुँचीं तो उन्होंने देखा कि पत्थर पहले से ही हटा हुआ था। पत्थर बहुत बड़ा था।
5 उन्होंने कब्र में प्रवेश किया और एक स्वर्गदूत को देखा। वह दाईं ओर बैठा था। वह सफ़ेद कपड़े पहने हुए एक जवान आदमी की तरह दिखाई देता था। औरतें बहुत डर गयीं।
6 लेकिन स्वर्गदूत ने कहा, “डरो मत! तुम नासरत के प्रभु यीशु को ढूँढ़ रही हो जिन्हें क्रूस पर मारा गया था। लेकिन वे मरे हुओं में से जीवित हो गये हैं। वे यहाँ नहीं हैं। देखो, यह वही जगह है जहाँ पर उनका शव रखा गया था।
7 अभी जाओ और उनके चेलों और पतरस से कहो, ‘प्रभु तुम से पहले गलील जा रहे हैं। तुम उन्हें वहाँ देखोगे जैसे मरने से पहले उन्होंने तुमसे कहा था।’”
8 औरतें बाहर जाकर कब्र से भाग गयीं। वे पूरी तरह से घबरा गयी थीं और डर से काँप रही थीं। उन्होंने किसी से कुछ नहीं कहा क्योंकि वे बहुत डर गयी थीं।
9 प्रभु यीशु रविवार की सुबह-सुबह मरे हुओं में से जीवित हुए। सबसे पहले वे मरियम मगदलीनी को दिखाई दिये। यह वही औरत थी जिसमें से प्रभु ने सात बुरी आत्माओं को निकाला था।
10 मरियम मगदलीनी ने जाकर यीशु के चेलों को ढूँढ़ा। वे दुखी थे और रो रहे थे।
11 मरियम ने चेलों से कहा कि प्रभु यीशु जीवित हैं और उसने प्रभु को देखा है। लेकिन यीशु के चेलों ने उस पर विश्वास नहीं किया।
12 इसके बाद प्रभु अपने दो चेलों को दिखाई दिये। ये दो आदमी यरूशलेम से बाहर पैदल चल रहे थे। लेकिन शुरू में उन्होंने प्रभु को नहीं पहचाना क्योंकि प्रभु ने अपना रूप बदला था।
13 बाद में इन दो आदमियों ने महसूस किया कि जो उन्हें दिखाई दिये वे प्रभु यीशु थे। फिर उन्होंने यरूशलेम वापस आकर दूसरे यीशु के चेलों को इसके बारे में बताया। लेकिन उन्होंने इन दो आदमियों पर विश्वास नहीं किया।
14 अन्त में जब यीशु के ग्यारह दूत खाना खा रहे थे तब प्रभु उन्हें दिखाई दिये। प्रभु ने उनसे सख्ती से बात की क्योंकि उनमें विश्वास नहीं था और उनके दिल कठोर थे। उन्होंने उन लोगों पर विश्वास नहीं किया जिन्होंने प्रभु को मरे हुओं में से फिर से जीवित होने के बाद देखा।
15 फिर प्रभु ने उनसे कहा, “पूरी दुनियाँ में जाओ। हर किसी को मेरे बारे में इस महान खबर का प्रचार करो।
16 जो कोई मुझ पर विश्वास करता है और मेरे नाम से पवित्र स्नान लेता है वह बचाया जायेगा। लेकिन जो कोई मुझ पर विश्वास नहीं करता है उसका न्याय किया जायेगा।
17 जो मुझ पर विश्वास करते हैं उनके साथ ये चिह्न होंगे: वे मेरे नाम से बुरी आत्माओं को निकालेंगे। वे नयी भाषाएं बोलेंगे जिन्हें वे पहले नहीं जानते थे।
18 वे अपने हाथों से सांप पकड़ेंगे। और अगर वे कुछ ज़हरीला भी पियेंगे तो वह उन्हें नुक्सान नहीं पहुँचायेगा। वे अपने हाथ बीमार लोगों पर रखेंगे और वे ठीक हो जाएंगे।”
19 प्रभु यीशु ने अपने चेलों से बोलना खत्म किया। फिर प्रभु स्वर्ग को उठाये गये। वे सृष्टि के परमेश्वर के दाईं ओर बैठे।
20 यीशु के चेलों ने हर जगह जाकर प्रभु यीशु के बारे में प्रचार किया। और प्रभु ने उनके साथ काम किया। चेलों ने जो कुछ कहा प्रभु ने बहुत से चमत्कार के चिह्नों द्वारा उसे साबित किया। | The Lord Jesus Comes Back From the Dead
1 The next evening, when the Saturday ended, Mary Magdalene, Salome and Mary, the mother of James, bought aroma oils. According to their burial tradition, they were going to apply them on Jesus’ Body.
2 Very early on Sunday morning they came to the tomb. It was just after sunrise.
3 They asked each other, “Who will roll away the stone from the entrance of the tomb?”
4 But when they arrived, they saw that the stone was rolled away already. The stone was very large.
5 They entered the tomb and saw an angel. He was sitting on the right side. He looked like a young man dressed in white clothes. The women got terribly afraid.
6 But the angel said, “Do not be afraid! You are looking for the Lord Jesus from Nazareth who was killed on the cross. But He has come back from the dead! He is not here! Look, this is the place where His Body was laid.
7 Now go and tell His followers and Peter, ‘The Lord is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see Him there, just as He told you before He died.’”
8 The women went out and ran away from the tomb. They were completely confused and shaking with fear. They said nothing to anyone, because they were terribly afraid.
9 The Lord Jesus came back from the dead early on Sunday morning. He appeared first to Mary Magdalene. She was the woman from whom the Lord cast out seven evil spirits.
10 Mary Magdalene went and found Jesus’ followers. They were grieving and crying.
11 Mary told them that the Lord Jesus was alive, and she saw Him. But Jesus’ followers did not believe her.
12 After this, the Lord appeared to two of His followers. These two men were walking out of Jerusalem. But at first they did not recognize the Lord, because He changed His appearance.
13 Later these two men realized that it was the Lord Jesus who appeared to them. Then they came back to Jerusalem and told the other Jesus’ followers about it. But they did not believe these two men.
14 Finally when Jesus’ Eleven Apostles were eating, the Lord appeared to them. The Lord spoke sharply to them, because they had no faith, and their hearts were hard. They did not believe those people who saw the Lord after He came back from the dead.
15 Then the Lord said to them, “Go into all the world. Preach this Great News about Me to everyone.
16 Anyone who believes in Me and takes the Holy Bath in My Name will be saved. But anyone who does not believe in Me will be judged.
17 These signs will accompany those who believe in Me: They will cast out evil spirits in My Name. They will speak in new languages they had not known before.
18 They will pick up snakes with their hands. And if they drink anything poisonous, it will not harm them. They will place their hands on sick people, and they will recover.”
19 The Lord Jesus finished speaking to His followers. Then He was taken up to heaven. He sat down at the right hand of God the Creator.
20 Jesus’ followers went out and preached everywhere about the Lord Jesus. And the Lord worked with them. The Lord confirmed what they said by many miraculous signs. |
