अध्याय 1 | Chapter 1 |
1 पौलुस, सिलास और तीमुथियुस थिस्सलुनीकियों चर्च को लिखते हैं जो परमेश्वर पिता और प्रभु यीशु मसीह का है। हमारे परमेश्वर पिता और प्रभु यीशु मसीह की ओर से आपको अनुग्रह और शान्ति मिले।
2 हम हमेशा आप सभी के लिए परमेश्वर का धन्यवाद करते हैं। हम आपको याद करते हैं और आपके लिए प्रार्थना करते हैं।
3 हम याद करते रहते हैं कि आपने अपने विश्वास के कारण किस प्रकार के काम किये थे। आप परमेश्वर की सेवा करते हैं क्योंकि आप उससे प्यार करते हैं। आप धीरज रखते हैं। और यह परमेश्वर पिता की उपस्थिति में रहने वाले यीशु मसीह पर आशा रखने में आपकी मदद करता है।
4 हे भाइयों, आप जानते हैं कि परमेश्वर ने आप को चुना है और वह आप से प्यार करता है।
5 जब हम आपके पास मसीह के बारे में अच्छी खबर लाए तब यह सिर्फ़ शब्द नहीं थे। हमने पवित्र आत्मा में होकर और शक्ति के साथ आपसे बात की। और आपको पूरी तरह से यकीन हुआ कि हमने सच कहा था। आप जानते हैं कि हमने आपको उदाहरण दिखाया।
6 हम यीशु की तरह जिये। और आप हमारी और प्रभु की सी चाल चलने लगे। आपने बहुत दु:ख उठाया लेकिन फिर भी आपने वचन को स्वीकार किया और पवित्र आत्मा में आनन्दित हुए।
7 और आप मकिदुनिया और अखया के सभी विश्वासियों के लिए उदाहरण बन गए।
8 परमेश्वर के वचन ने सिर्फ़ मकिदुनिया और अखया में ही आवाज नहीं लगाई। दूसरे स्थानों में भी आपने परमेश्वर पर अपने विश्वास को फैलाया जहाँ हम पहले नहीं गये थे। और जब हम उन जगहों पर जाते हैं तब हमें अपने बारे में कुछ भी बताने की ज़रूरत नहीं होती।
9 इसके बजाय, वे लोग हमें इस के बारे में बताते हैं कि हम एक बार कैसे आपसे मिले और उसके बाद आप मूर्तियों से परमेश्वर की ओर मुड़ गए। और अब आप जीवित और सच्चे परमेश्वर की सेवा करते हैं।
10 परमेश्वर ने अपने बेटे को मरे हुओं में से जिलाया। और अब आप परमेश्वर के बेटे का स्वर्ग से आने का इन्तज़ार कर रहे हैं। जल्दी ही परमेश्वर लोगों से उनके पापों के लिए गुस्सा होगा लेकिन यीशु हमें परमेश्वर के गुस्से से बचाएगा। | 1 Paul, Silas, and Timothy are greeting the church in Thessalonica. God is our Father, and Jesus Christ is our Lord. So receive grace and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
2 We always thank God for all of you. We remember you and pray for you.
3 We keep remembering the works you do because of your faith. You love God, that is why you serve Him. You endure all hardships patiently because you have hope in the Lord Jesus Christ who is in the presence of God our Father.
4 Brothers, you know that God chose you, and that He loves you.
5 When we brought you the Good News about Christ, it was not just words. We preached with power and in the Holy Spirit. And it convinced you that we spoke the truth. You know that we showed you an example.
6 We lived like Jesus did, and you began to imitate us and the Lord. You went through a lot of sufferings, but you accepted the Word of God and rejoiced in the Holy Spirit.
7 So you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia.
8 We did not go only to these places, but also to other cities to preach about Jesus. Everywhere we went, we found people who had already heard about your faith in God. The people told us how you followed the teaching of Jesus. They knew so well what had happened to you that we could add nothing to it.
9 In Macedonia, Achaia, and in other places, the people themselves told us how we preached to you about Christ. They already knew that you had abandoned idols and had started serving the living and true God.
10 They also said that you are now waiting for the Son of God to come from heaven to earth. God raised Jesus from the dead to save us from the coming punishment that God will pour out in His wrath on those who do not believe in Him. |
अध्याय 2 | Chapter 2 |
1 हे भाइयों, आप जानते हैं कि हम व्यर्थ में आपसे मिलने नहीं आए।
2 लेकिन आपके पास आने से पहले, लोगों ने फिलिप्पी में हमारे साथ क्रूरता से व्यवहार किया और हमने वहाँ दु:ख उठाया। और आप जानते हैं कि परमेश्वर ने हमें हिम्मत दी और हमने बड़े विरोध के बावजूद आपको परमेश्वर के बारे में अच्छी खबर का प्रचार किया।
3 जब हम लोगों को सिखाते हैं तब हम उन्हें धोखा नहीं देते। हमारी इच्छाएँ बुरी नहीं और हम लोगों के साथ चालाकी से व्यवहार नहीं करते।
4 परमेश्वर ने हमें अपनी सेवा करने के योग्य बनाया। उसने हम पर विश्वास किया ताकि हम यीशु के बारे में अच्छी खबर का प्रचार करें। जब हम अच्छी खबर को बांटते हैं तब हम परमेश्वर को खुश करते हैं, लोगों को नहीं। और परमेश्वर नज़र रखता है कि हमारे दिलों में क्या हो रहा है।
5 आप जानते हैं कि हमने आपसे कभी चापलूसी की बातें नहीं की। और परमेश्वर हमारा गवाह है कि हमने कभी भी आपका फ़ायदा उठाने की कोशिश नहीं की।
6 हम नहीं चाहते कि आप या कोई और हमारी बड़ाई करे।
7 हम मसीह के प्रेरित हैं। हम आप पर अपना अधिकार दिखा सकते थे लेकिन हमने आपके साथ शांति से व्यवहार किया। जैसे दूध पिलाने वाली माँ अपने बच्चों की देखभाल करती है वैसे ही हमने भी आपकी देखभाल की।
8 हमने आप से प्यार किया। इसलिए हम चाहते थे कि आप सिर्फ़ परमेश्वर की अच्छी खबर को ही स्वीकार न करें लेकिन यह भी समझें कि हमारे दिलों में क्या हो रहा है।
9 हे भाइयों, क्या आपको याद है कि हमने कैसे परमेश्वर के बारे में आपको अच्छी खबर का प्रचार किया? हमने इतनी मेहनत की कि हमें बेहद थकान महसूस हुई। हमने दिन-रात मज़दूरी की क्योंकि हम आप में से किसी पर बोझ नहीं बनना चाहते थे।
10 और आप, विश्वासियों, यह गवाही दे सकते हो कि हमने आपके साथ पवित्रता, ईमानदारी और बिना किसी दोष के व्यवहार किया। परमेश्वर भी इसकी गवाही देता है।
11 आप जानते हैं कि हमने आप में से हर एक के साथ वैसे ही बर्ताव किया जैसे पिता अपने बच्चों के साथ करता है।
12 जब परमेश्वर ने आपको अपने पास बुलाया तब आपने उसके राज्य में प्रवेश किया और उसकी महिमा देखी। इसलिए हमने आपसे विनती की, आपको यकीन दिलाया और जोर देकर कहा कि इस तरह से जियें ताकि आप उन माँगों को पूरा कर सकें जो परमेश्वर ने हमें दी हैं।
13 हम लगातार आपके लिए परमेश्वर का धन्यवाद करते हैं। जब आपने हम से परमेश्वर का वचन सुना तो इसे ऐसे स्वीकार किया जैसे कि परमेश्वर ने ही वह वचन कहा, न कि मनुष्य ने। और सच में परमेश्वर का वचन सच्चा है। आप परमेश्वर के वचन पर विश्वास करते हैं और वचन आप में काम करता है।
14 जो चर्च यहूदिया में स्थित हैं वे प्रभु के हैं। वे यीशु मसीह पर विश्वास करते हैं इसलिए यहूदी लोगों ने उन्हें सताना शुरू कर दिया। हे भाइयों, उन चर्चों की तरह ही आपके साथ हुआ। आपको अपने लोगों का भी सामना करना पड़ा।
15 यहूदियों ने प्रभु यीशु और उसके भविष्यद्वक्ताओं को मार डाला। उन्होंने हमें भी सताया। यहूदी परमेश्वर को खुश नहीं करते और वे सभी लोगों का विरोध करते हैं।
16 जब हम अन्यजाति लोगों को उद्धार के बारे में बताते हैं तब यहूदी लोग हमें रोकते हैं। इस तरह से यहूदी लोग अपने पापों को बढ़ाते रहते हैं। लेकिन अन्त नज़दीक आ रहा है और परमेश्वर यहूदियों से गुस्सा होगा।
17 हे भाइयों, थोड़े समय के लिए हम आपसे अलग हो गए। आप हमारे दिलों में बने रहे इसलिए हमें आपको फिर से देखने की बड़ी इच्छा है।
18 हम आपके पास आना चाहते थे। मुझ, पौलुस ने एक बार और फिर दूसरी बार ऐसा करने की कोशिश की लेकिन शैतान ने हमारे लिए रुकावटें खड़ी कीं।
19 लेकिन हमें आशा है कि आप परमेश्वर की सेवा करते रहते हैं। और जब हमारा प्रभु यीशु मसीह पृथ्वी पर वापस आएगा तब हम आपसे मिलेंगे और आपके साथ आनन्द मनाएंगे। तब परमेश्वर हमारी प्रशंसा करेगा और हमने आपकी जो सेवा की है उसके लिए हमें इनाम देगा।
20 हम आनन्दित होंगे क्योंकि परमेश्वर कहेगा कि हमने आप के बीच में अच्छा काम किया। | 1 Brothers, you know that when we visited you last time, our ministry was fruitful.
2 But before we came to you, people treated us harshly in Philippi, and we went through suffering there. You know that God gave us courage, and we preached to you the Good News about God in spite of great opposition.
3 We do not deceive others when we teach. We do not have wrong desires. And we do not trick or manipulate people to achieve our goals.
4 God made us worthy to serve Him. He entrusted us to preach the Good News about Christ. When we speak about Jesus, we please God, not people. And He watches what is happening in our hearts.
5 You know that we never flattered you. And God can confirm that we did not try to take advantage of you.
6 We do not want you or anyone else to praise us.
7 We are the apostles of Christ. We could exercise our authority over you, but we behaved very simply. We gently cared for you as a nursing mother cares for her children.
8 We loved you. That is why we wanted you not only to accept the Good News about God, but also to understand how we loved you with all our hearts. We were ready to sacrifice even our lives for you.
9 Brothers, do you remember how we preached the Good News about God to you? We worked so hard that we felt extremely exhausted. We labored day and night because we did not want to become a burden to any of you.
10 And you, believers, can confirm that we behaved towards you in a holy, just, and blameless manner. God can also confirm it.
11 You know that we treated each one of you as a father treats his children.
12 When God called you to Himself, you entered His Kingdom and saw His glory. That is why we asked, convinced, and urged you to live according to the requirements of God.
13 We continuously thank God for you. When we preached to you, you accepted the Word of God as if the Word was spoken by God, not by a man. And, for sure, the Word of God is the truth, so you believe in it, and it works in you.
14 The churches located in Judea belong to God. They believe in Jesus Christ, and that is why the Jews began to persecute them. Brothers, the same thing happened to you as it did to those churches. You also faced suffering from your own people.
15 The Jews killed the Lord Jesus and His prophets. They also persecute us. The Jews oppose God and are hostile to all people.
16 When we speak to the Gentiles about salvation, the Jews hinder us. In this way, the Jews keep filling up the measure of their sins. But the end is near, and God will pour out His wrath on the Jews.
17 Brothers, for a short time we were separated from you. And we have a strong desire to see you again because you remain in our hearts.
18 We wanted to visit you. I, Paul, tried to do this once and then a second time, but Satan created obstacles for us.
19 But we hope that you keep serving God. And when our Lord Jesus Christ returns to the earth, we will see you and rejoice with you. Then God will praise us and reward us for our ministry to you.
20 We will rejoice because God will say that we served well among you. |
अध्याय 3 | Chapter 3 |
1 हमने मुश्किलों के कारण एथेन्स में रहने का फैसला किया।
2 लेकिन हमने भाई तीमुथियुस को आपके पास भेजा। वह परमेश्वर की सेवा करता है, हमारे साथ काम करता है और मसीह के बारे में अच्छी खबर को फैलाता है। तीमुथियुस आपका साथ देगा और आपके विश्वास को मज़बूत करेगा।
3 आप जानते हैं कि इस जीवन में हम सतावों और मुसीबतों से बच नहीं सकते। इसलिए अगर आप कष्टों से गुजर रहे हैं तो न घबराना।
4 पिछली बार जब हम आपसे मिलने आए तो हमने पहले से ही अनुमान लगा लिया था कि हमें दु:ख सहना होगा। और आप जानते हैं कि यह इसी तरह से हुआ जैसे हमने कहा था।
5 मैं आपसे मिलने नहीं आ सका इसलिए मैंने अब और इन्तज़ार नहीं किया और तीमुथियुस को आपके पास भेजा। मैं जानना चाहता था कि क्या आप विश्वास से जीते हैं या नहीं। मुझे डर था कि बहकानेवाला आपको गुमराह कर देगा और हमारा काम परिणाम नहीं लाएगा।
6 लेकिन तीमुथियुस पहले ही लौट आया और उसने हमें आपके बारे में अच्छी खबर दी। हम जानते हैं कि आप परमेश्वर पर विश्वास करते रहते हैं और एक दूसरे से प्यार करते हैं। आप हमेशा हमारे बारे में अच्छी बातें बोलते हैं और आप हमें उतना ही देखना चाहते हैं जितना हम आपको देखना चाहते हैं।
7 हे भाइयों, हम दु:ख में होकर जाते हैं और कमी में जीते हैं। लेकिन जैसे आप विश्वास करते हैं उस से हम उत्साहित हुए।
8 आप प्रभु के पीछे चलते रहते हैं और यह हमें जीवन से भर देता है।
9 हम आपके लिये परमेश्वर का कितना धन्यवाद करें? जब हम अपने परमेश्वर की उपस्थिति में जाते हैं तब आपके कारण हम बहुत आनन्द महसूस करते हैं।
10 दिन रात हम आपके लिए दिल खोलकर प्रार्थना करते हैं। हम आपसे मिलना चाहते हैं क्योंकि हम आपको कुछ ऐसी बातें सिखा सकते हैं जो आपके विश्वास को और भी मजबूत बना सकती हैं।
11 परमेश्वर पिता और प्रभु यीशु मसीह आपके पास आने के लिए हमारी सहायता करें।
12 प्रभु ने हमें प्यार से भर दिया है इसलिए हम आपसे प्यार करते हैं। वह आपको भी प्यार से भरे ताकि आप एक दूसरे से और सभी लोगों से प्यार कर सकें।
13 दूसरों से प्यार करें और यह आपके दिलों को मज़बूत बनाएगा। परमेश्वर की पवित्रता आपके दिलों को शुद्ध करेगी और आपको परमेश्वर की नज़रों में निर्दोष बनाएगी। इसलिए जब हमारा प्रभु यीशु मसीह परमेश्वर के सभी पवित्र लोगों के साथ पृथ्वी पर आएगा तब आप हमारे परमेश्वर पिता की उपस्थिति में खड़े होने के लायक होंगे। आमीन। | 1 We wanted to visit you, but because of the hardships we were facing, we decided to stay in Athens.
2 So we sent to you our brother Timothy. He serves God and works with us to spread the Good News about Christ. Timothy can encourage you and strengthen your faith.
3 You know that in this life, we cannot avoid persecutions and troubles. So do not lose faith if you are experiencing suffering.
4 When we visited you last time, we predicted that we would face suffering. And you know that everything happened as we told you.
5 I was very worried about you, but I was not able to visit you. So I did not wait any longer and sent Timothy to you to find out if you were living by faith. I was concerned that the tempter might mislead you, and our work would not bring results.
6 Timothy has already returned and brought us good news about you. Now we know that you continue to believe in God and love one another. You always speak kindly of us, and you want to see us as much as we want to see you.
7 Brothers, despite all our suffering and difficult circumstances, you have encouraged us by your strong faith in God.
8 You keep following the Lord, and it fills us with life.
9 How can we give enough thanks to God for you? Because of you, we experience great joy when we enter the presence of our God.
10 Night and day we pray earnestly for you. We would like to see you in order to complete what is lacking in your faith.
11 God is our Father, and Jesus Christ is our Lord. May God Himself help us visit you.
12 The Lord has filled us with love, and that is why we love you. May He also fill you with love, so that you can love one another and all people.
13 When you love others, God strengthens your hearts. He purifies them and makes you holy and blameless in His sight. Keep loving one another until the Lord Jesus Christ comes to earth with all God's holy people. Amen. |
अध्याय 4 | Chapter 4 |
1 हे भाइयों, हमने आपको सिखाया कि आपको कैसे व्यवहार करना चाहिए और कैसे परमेश्वर को खुश करना चाहिए। इसलिए यीशु मसीह के नाम में हम आपसे विनती करते हैं और आपको उत्साहित करते हैं कि आप ज़्यादा से ज़्यादा अपने कामों से परमेश्वर को खुश करें।
2 आप प्रभु यीशु की आज्ञाओं को जानते हैं जो हमने आपको सिखाईं।
3 अपने आप को परमेश्वर की इच्छा के लिए सौंप दें और अपने आप को पाप से शुद्ध करें। गलत यौन संबंधों में हिस्सा न लें।
4 आप में से हर एक अपने शरीर पर काबू रखे। पवित्र और परमेश्वर के योग्य जीवन जियें।
5 अन्यजाति लोगों की तरह व्यवहार न करें। वे परमेश्वर को नहीं जानते, वे अपनी वासना को संतुष्ट करते और अपनी पापी आदतों से खुद को नष्ट करते हैं।
6 अपने भाइयों का फ़ायदा न उठाएं। अपने मतलब के लिए एक दूसरे को धोखा न दें। हमने इसके बारे में पहले से ही बातें की और आपको सिखाया कि प्रभु ऐसे कामों के लिए सजा देगा।
7 अपनी बुरी इच्छाओं का पीछा न करें क्योंकि परमेश्वर ने हमें पवित्र जीवन जीने के लिए बुलाया है।
8 जो हमारी शिक्षा को ठुकराता है वह किसी व्यक्ति को नहीं लेकिन परमेश्वर को ठुकराता है जिसने हमें पवित्र आत्मा दी है।
9 मुझे भाईचारे के प्यार के बारे में लिखने की कोई ज़रूरत नहीं क्योंकि परमेश्वर आपको एक दूसरे से प्यार करना सिखाता है।
10 आप उन सब विश्वासियों के साथ प्रेम से व्यवहार करते हैं जो मकिदुनिया में रहते हैं। हे भाइयों, हम आपको एक दूसरे से ज़्यादा से ज़्यादा प्यार करने के लिए उत्साहित करना चाहेंगे।
11 जो हमने आपको सिखाया है उसे मानने के लिए हर प्रयास करें। शान्ति से रहें, अपना काम करें और अपने हाथों से मेहनत करें।
12 तब आपके पास कुछ कमीं घटी नहीं होगी। और अविश्वासियों के साथ भी अच्छे तरीके से व्यवहार करें।
13 हे भाइयों, मैं चाहता हूँ कि आप जानें कि जो विश्वासी मर चुके हैं उनके साथ क्या होगा। दूसरे लोगों की तरह शोक न मनाएं जिनके पास कोई उम्मीद नहीं।
14 हम विश्वास करते हैं कि यीशु मरा और फिर जीवित हुआ। हम यह भी विश्वास करते हैं कि जब यीशु धरती पर वापस आएगा तब परमेश्वर उन विश्वासियों को भी यीशु के साथ लाएगा जो पहले ही मर चुके हैं।
15 हम आप को प्रभु का वचन सुनाते हैं। पहले जो विश्वासी मर चुके हैं वे प्रभु के आगमन को देखेंगे। और फिर हम, जो पृथ्वी पर जीवित बच जाएंगे, प्रभु से मिलेंगे।
16 उस दिन सबसे ऊँचा स्वर्गदूत अपनी आवाज़ उठाएगा, परमेश्वर की तुरही बजेगी और प्रभु खुद ही स्वर्ग से उतरेगा। और पहले परमेश्वर उन मरे हुए लोगों को जीवित करेगा जो मसीह पर विश्वास करते थे।
17 उसके बाद हम, जो धरती पर बच जाएंगे, उन ज़िन्दा लोगों के साथ बादलों पर उठाए जाएंगे। और हम हवा में प्रभु से मिलेंगे। इस तरह से हम हमेशा के लिए प्रभु के साथ एक हो जाएंगे।
18 इसलिए इन शब्दों से एक दूसरे को शान्ति दें। | 1 Brothers, we have taught you to live in a way that pleases God. So in the name of Jesus Christ we ask and encourage you to please God even more with your actions.
2 You know the commandments that we have given you from the Lord Jesus.
3 God wants you to cleanse yourselves from sin. He does not want you to live immorally.
4 Each of you must control the desires of your body. Live a holy life and do not indulge in sexual immorality.
5 Do not act like the Gentiles who do not know God. They satisfy their lust and destroy themselves with their harmful habits.
6 Do not act unjustly or dishonestly with your brothers. Do not deceive one another for your own benefit. We spoke about it before and taught you that the Lord will take revenge for such actions.
7 Do not follow your evil desires because God has called us to live a holy life.
8 He who rejects our teaching, does not reject a man but God, who gave us His Holy Spirit.
9 I have no need to write about brotherly love because God teaches you to love one another.
10 You treat with love all the believers who live in Macedonia. Brothers, we would like to encourage you to love one another even more.
11 Do your best to practice what we have taught you. Live in peace with one another, mind your business and work with your hands.
12 Then you will lack nothing. You should also behave towards unbelievers in a good manner.
13 Brothers, I want you to know what will happen to the believers who have already died. Do not be overwhelmed with grief like those who have no hope.
14 We believe that Jesus died and rose again. That is why we also believe that God will raise to life the believers who have died. This will happen on the day when Jesus returns to earth. Then the resurrected believers will meet Jesus.
15 We tell you what the Lord has revealed to us. First, God will resurrect all the believers who have already died, and they will meet Jesus. Then we who are still alive on earth will also meet Jesus.
16 On that day, the chief angel will shout loudly, God's trumpet will sound, and the Lord Himself will come down from heaven. First, God will resurrect all the believers who have already died.
17 Then we who are still alive on earth will rise up in the clouds along with the resurrected believers. And we will meet the Lord in the air. In this way, we will be united with Him forever.
18 So comfort one another with these words. |
अध्याय 5 | Chapter 5 |
1 हे भाइयों, मुझे समय और तारीखों के बारे में लिखने की कोई ज़रूरत नहीं।
2 आप पहले से ही जानते हैं कि जैसे चोर रात में आता है वैसे ही प्रभु का दिन अचानक से आ जाएगा।
3 जब लोग कहेंगे कि "शान्ति और सुरक्षा है" तब अचानक से मुसीबत उन पर आ पड़ेगी। जैसे गर्भवती महिला जन्म देने के दर्द से नहीं बच पाती वैसे ही कोई भी प्रभु के आगमन से नहीं बच पाएगा।
4 हे भाइयों, आप अंधकार में नहीं जीते। और प्रभु का दिन आपके लिए रात में आने वाले चोर की तरह अचानक से नहीं आएगा।
5 आप सभी ज्योति की संतान हैं जो दिन के समय पैदा हुए। हम अंधकार की संतान नहीं जो रात के समय पैदा हुए।
6 इसलिए दूसरे लोगों की तरह न सोएं। आत्मिक चीजों में अपनी रुचि न खोएं। सादा जीवन जियें।
7 एक व्यक्ति रात को सोता है और दूसरा नशे में चूर हो जाता है।
8 हम दिन के समय पैदा हुए, इसलिए हमें सादा जीवन जीना चाहिए। हम परमेश्वर पर विश्वास करते हैं और एक दूसरे के साथ प्यार से व्यवहार करते हैं और यह कवच की तरह हमारी रक्षा करते हैं। हमें यकीन है कि यीशु ने हमें पाप से बचाया। इसलिए हम उद्धार के टोप को अपने सिर पर पहनते हैं।
9 परमेश्वर ने पहले ही फ़ैसला लिया कि वह हम से गुस्सा नहीं होगा। और हमने उद्धार पाया क्योंकि हमारा प्रभु यीशु मसीह हमारे लिए क्रूस पर मरा।
10 जब प्रभु पृथ्वी पर वापस आएगा तब हम में से कुछ जीवित रहेंगे और कुछ नहीं। लेकिन परमेश्वर हमें जीवित करेगा ताकि हम मसीह के साथ जी सकें।
11 इसलिए आपको एक दूसरे को दिलासा देते रहना चाहिए और इन शब्दों से एक दूसरे का विश्वास दृढ़ करते रहना चाहिए।
12 हे भाइयों, हम आपसे कहते हैं कि उन सेवकों का आदर करें जिन्हें परमेश्वर ने आपके ऊपर रखा है। वे आपके बीच में काम करते हैं और आपको परमेश्वर का वचन सिखाते हैं।
13 उन से प्यार करें और जो काम वे करते हैं उसके लिए उन्हें बड़ा आदर दें। एक दूसरे के साथ शान्ति से रहें।
14 हे भाइयों, हम आपसे विनती करते हैं कि जो अपने जीवन के साथ खिलवाड़ करते हैं, उन लोगों को सुधारें। जो विश्वासी डर में जीते हैं, उन्हें उत्साहित करें। जिनका विश्वास कमजोर है, उन्हें सहारा दें। और सभी लोगों के साथ बहुत धीरज से रहें।
15 ध्यान दें कि कोई बुराई के बदले बुराई न करे। हमेशा एक दूसरे का और अपने आस-पास के लोगों का भला करने का हर संभव प्रयास करें।
16 हमेशा आनन्दित रहें।
17 नियमित रूप से प्रार्थना करें।
18 आप यीशु मसीह के हैं। और परमेश्वर चाहता है कि आप उसे हर परिस्थिति में धन्यवाद दें।
19 पवित्र आत्मा की आग को न बुझाएं।
20 भविष्यवाणियों से घृणा न करें।
21 सब कुछ जांचें और जो सही है उस पर खड़े रहें।
22 किसी बुरे कामों में हिस्सा न लें।
23 परमेश्वर शान्ति का स्रोत है। और वह खुद आपको पूरी तरह से पवित्र करे। परमेश्वर आपकी आत्मा, प्राण और शरीर को उस दिन तक पूरी तरह से पाप से सुरक्षित रखे, जब तक हमारा प्रभु यीशु मसीह फिर से न आए।
24 परमेश्वर ऐसा करेगा क्योंकि उसने आपको अपने पास बुलाया है ताकि आप उसकी वफ़ादारी देख सकें।
25 हे भाइयों, हमारे लिए प्रार्थना कीजिए।
26 सभी भाइयों से पवित्र चुंबन से मिलें।
27 मैं आपसे प्रभु के नाम से विनती करता हूँ कि इस पत्र को परमेश्वर के सभी पवित्र लोगों के सामने पढ़ें।
28 हमारे प्रभु यीशु मसीह का अनुग्रह आपके साथ बना रहे। आमीन। | 1 Brothers, I have no need to write to you about the time or the exact moment when Jesus will return to earth.
2 You know that the day will come unexpectedly for everyone. The one who does not believe in Jesus lives in darkness and does not expect the Lord. But one day He will come to the earth. It will be as unexpected for unbelievers as if a thief were to break into a house at night.
3 When people say, “Peace and safety,” then the Lord will come. Suddenly disaster will fall upon unbelievers, and they will perish. As a pregnant woman cannot escape the pain of childbirth, so no one can escape the coming of the Lord.
4 Brothers, but you do not live in darkness, and you are always ready to meet Jesus. So when Jesus returns, that day will not come unexpectedly for you, as if a thief were to break into a house at night.
5 God is light. And you are all God’s children. So as children of the day, all of you live in God’s light. We do not live in darkness, as children of the night.
6 So we should not become spiritually sleepy or lose interest in spiritual things, as others do. Instead, we should be spiritually active and watch over our spiritual condition.
7 Those who fall asleep spiritually live in darkness, as children of the night. And those who get drunk also behave as children of the night.
8 But we are children of the day. So we watch over our spiritual condition. We are spiritual soldiers. When we believe in God and treat others with love, we put on faith and love that protect us like armor. And when we are confident that God has given us salvation, that hope fills our hearts and protects us, just as a helmet protects a soldier’s head.
9 God decided in advance that He would not pour out His wrath on us. Instead, He chose us to receive salvation through what our Lord Jesus did on the cross.
10 Some of us will still be alive and others will already be dead when the Lord returns to earth. But Jesus died for all of us so that we could live with Him.
11 So you should continue to encourage and strengthen one another’s faith with these words.
12 Brothers, we urge you to respect the ministers whom the Lord has appointed over you. They minister among you and teach you the Word of God.
13 Love and appreciate them for what they do. And live in peace with one another.
14 Brothers, we also want to ask you about other things. If there are those among you who are making a mess of their lives, help them understand how to act so that they can correct their behavior. Encourage believers who live in fear. Support those whose faith is weak. And have great patience with all people.
15 See that no one repays evil for evil. Instead, always do your best to do good to one another and to everyone around you.
16 Rejoice always.
17 Pray regularly.
18 You belong to Jesus Christ. And that is why God wants you to thank Him in all circumstances.
19 Do not quench the fire of the Holy Spirit.
20 Do not despise prophecies.
21 Test everything and hold on to what is right.
22 Do not do any evil.
23 God is the source of peace. May He Himself sanctify you completely. May God keep your spirit, soul, and body completely free from sin until the day when our Lord Jesus Christ returns to the earth.
24 God will do this because He is faithful. He called you to Himself to keep you from evil.
25 Brothers, pray for us.
26 Greet all the brothers with a holy kiss.
27 In the name of the Lord I urge you to read this letter to all the holy people of God.
